It doesn’t take long for Hollow Knight: Silksong to reveal just how big the kingdom of Pharloom really is. While Hornet’s speed and agility let her dart through areas with ease, covering ground quickly is only half the challenge.Â
When it comes to backtracking or revisiting earlier zones, the fast travel system becomes essential. But how do you unlock it? How does it work?
This guide will give you the answer to all these questions.
How to Fast Travel in Hollow Knight: Silksong

To unlock fast travel, you first need to acquire the Silkspear, the first Silk Skill. You’ll find it in Mosshome, located in the upper section of Bone Bottom.

Once you’ve unlocked the ability, return to the entrance of Mosshome and head right, past the sign.

Up ahead, you’ll notice a beast trapped in silk webbing.

Use your newly acquired Silkspear to break through the web.

This will trigger a fight against the second boss of the game, Bell Beast.

While the Bell Beast can seem intimidating at first, its moveset is fairly straightforward. If you’re struggling, check out our complete Bell Beast boss guide for tips and strategies.

Complete the short platforming section after beating the boss to find yourself back in the Bell Beast arena.

Jump onto the platform on the right, and the Bell Beast will jump out of the ground. You can now interact with the fast travel point to quickly travel to any unlocked Bellways.Â

The fast travel system here is similar to the original, where you need to unlock Bellways by spending Rosaries in different regions before you can use them. But tying it to an actual boss fight adds a refreshing twist to the whole thing.
