Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally out, and players are jumping head over heels to dive headfirst into a grand adventure in the kingdom of Pharloom. Just like its predecessor, Silksong doesn’t shy away from presenting players with twisting paths that lead to different zones and interconnected regions.
While you won’t find Cornifer, the beloved map maker from the original Hollow Knight, in Silksong, the game does include its own Map Vendor.
Finding him, however, will take some time since he doesn’t appear in the initial areas. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get a Map in Hollow Knight: Silksong to make navigation easier.
How to Find the Map in Silksong
To unlock the Map, players must first complete the initial zone, Moss Grotto, and defeat the first boss of the game. Afterwards, you’ll be able to enter The Marrow by heading right from the Bone Bottom NPC camp.
As you progress through The Marrow, you’ll eventually come across a bench.
Start by heading right from The Marrow bench and jumping across a few platforms.
Keep moving right until you reach the location shown in the image above.
Use the small platforms above and make your way to the top-left part of the area.
As soon as you land on the platform shown in the image, it will drop down, creating a shortcut.
Continue heading up and left until you reach a door leading to a new area above.
This door takes you to a section with temporary platforms that crumble if you stand on them for too long.
Carefully make your way to the top of this area. At the very top, you’ll find a path leading left.
Stick to the upper section of this room and keep heading left until you reach the spot shown in the image. There’s a switch at the bottom that you need to hit to bring down a platform.
Keep moving left and listen for the sound of an NPC singing. This is Shakra, the Map Vendor for Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Maps aren’t free and can cost upwards of 40 Rosaries. Shakra also sells a few other helpful utilities if you’ve got enough Rosaries to spare.
