The Forsaken Hollows is the first DLC expansion in Elden Ring: Nightreign. This new expansion adds two new playable Nightfarers, bosses, threats, and a new Shifting Earth zone. If you own the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition, the DLC is already included; otherwise, you can buy it as a standalone.

How to unlock the DLC in Elden Ring Nightreign
To unlock the DLC’s two new playable characters (Scholar and Undertaker), you must defeat Nightreign’s first boss, Gladius.
Head to the Small Jar Bazaar and talk to the Small Jar Merchant. He’ll point to a door next to him. Interact with that door. Going through the door triggers a boss fight with Dreglord. This fight is effectively unwinnable, so you don’t need to win. After respawning back at Roundtable Hold, return to the door near the Small Jar Bazaar. Inside, you’ll find Scholar and Undertaker. Talking to them will unlock them as playable for you.
Unlocking two new Nightfarers is required to unlock The Forsaken Hollows’ DLC content in Elden Ring Nightreign. Scholar and Undertaker are the two Nightfarers that you must unlock before unlocking the two new Nightlords.
How to unlock DLC Nightfarers in Nightreign
Defeat the Tricephalos (Gladius) in Elden Ring Nightreign to get access to The Forsaken Hollows’ two new Nightfarers, Scholar and Undertaker. However, ensure that the DLC content is installed on the platform you’re playing on, as it can prevent access to content if not installed.
Log in to the game and make your way to the Roundtable Hold to speak with the Iron Menial. This NPC will receive a message from the Small Jar Merchant for you. You will then initiate the mission to unlock two new Nightfarers.
Make your way to the Small Jar Merchant and interact with him. You will learn that the chapel behind him is unlocked. Get inside, and you will now be able to return to the Roundtable Hold. Once you go back into the Hold, move back to the Chapel to unlock two Nightfarers.
How to unlock DLC Nightlords in Nightreign
Two new Nightlords (Balancers and the Dreglord) are introduced to The Forsaken Hollows DLC in Elden Ring Nightreign. Unlocking them is essential, but they can only be accessed individually. Defeating Tricephalos and at least one other Nightlord is required to unlock the Balancers Nightlord in Nightreign.
Once you unlock Scholar and the Undertaker, return to the table in the middle of the Roundtable Hold. Challenge the new Nightlord from the Expedition list. You can challenge the Balancers and take part in The Great Hollows Shifting Earth event.
The Dreglord is the second DLC’s Nightlord that is unlocked after defeating the Balancers Nightlord. Initiate the expedition against them from the Roundtable.
After that, the DLC content should be fully accessible in your game – new characters, bosses, events, and related content.
