The world in Hytale is vast, and long walks between bases, farms, mines, and biomes become time-consuming. Using the teleporter cannot only save your precious time, but also make the progression quick.

They don’t replace exploration but make repeated trips much faster. Learn how to craft the Teleporter and use it to warp instantly between distant locations.

For more information on the game, you can visit its official Steam page here.

What is a Teleporter in Hytale

A Teleporter is a craftable fast‑travel device that allows you to warp between two places you’ve set up in the world. Rather than covering the long distance on foot, you can simply walk through a teleporter and arrive at another linked teleporter. You need to first craft and place it in the world.

Teleporter is not an automatic map fast travel point or temple portal. The objective for you here is to build and link them yourself to move from point A to point B instantly.

How To Craft Teleporter

Teleporters are crafted at the Arcanist’s Workbench in Hytale. Use the standard workbench to craft this crafting bench using the required materials. You need to unlock the Arcanist’s Workbench by first upgrading a normal Workbench to Tier 2.

After that, you can craft this crafting bench using advanced materials like Thorium, Linen, and Essence of the Void. Make sure to upgrade the workbench to tier 2 using the following materials.

  • 30x Copper Ingots
  • 20x Iron Ingots
  • 20x Linen Scraps

Materials Required To Craft Arcanist’s Workbench

You need to use the following materials to craft the Arcanist’s Workbench in Hytale.

  • 10× Thorium Ingots
  • 30x Linen Scraps
  • 20x Essence of the Void

Crafting gives you two Teleporters and one for each end of the connection. You can acquire the Essence of Void to craft the Teleporter by defeating enemies during nighttime. To obtain the Thorium in Hytale, make sure to smelt the Thorium Ore in the furnace. Find this material from the Desert biome, usually along the sheer cliff faces aboveground.

Smelting the Thorium Ore in the furnace allows you to gain a Thorium Ingot, which is a crucial material for crafting a Teleporter. Once you obtain all the required materials, interact with the Arcanist’s Workbench to craft Teleporters.

Teleporter Recipe

Once you craft the Arcanist’s Workbench, you need to use the following materials to craft Teleporters.

  • 8x Azure Logs
  • 2x Azure Kelp
  • 10x Any Stone

Azure Log in Hytale is obtained by cutting down Azure trees located in Blue Forest biomes. You can obtain the Azure Kelp from the bodies of water in Blue Forest biomes. Mine regular stone blocks with a pickaxe to get your hands on stones. Interact with the Arcanist’s Workbench after acquiring the required materials to craft the teleporters.

How To Use the Teleporter in Hytale

When you craft a teleporter, you normally receive two teleporter devices. This is because a teleporter always needs a pair to work. You cannot use a teleporter unless you have at least two placed in the world. Put one teleporter at your main base or home area. Now, travel to another location like mine or a village to place the second teleporter.

Make sure to place each teleporter on the ground like a structure block. After placing them, they will not work automatically. You need to walk up to a placed teleporter and interact with it by pressing the ‘F’ key to open its menu. A menu will open showing available teleporters, so select the other teleporter from the list to create a connection.

You can also rename teleporters, making it easier to recognize. Once linked, the two devices are paired.

Increase Number of Teleporters

Simply step into the glowing teleporter portal, and you will find yourself in the connected teleporter. You can place multiple teleporters around the world after getting access. The number of teleporters you can place increases as you progress in the game. Using the teleporter in Hytale allows you to save time and avoid deadly enemies on the way.

Teleporter networks let you travel quickly between multiple places. However, you must physically place teleporters before you can warp. Keep in mind that you can’t teleport to an undiscovered location.

They appear on your world map with warp icons once placed and linked. I highly recommend unlocking more memory rewards from the Forgotten Temple to increase the number of placed teleporters.

Tips and Tricks To Use the Teleporter

Below are the best tips and tricks to use the teleporter effectively in Hytale.

  • Place them at key locations like base, mining area, cave, azure forest, or outlander outpost.
  • Clear labels save time and prevent accidental teleports to the wrong spot.
  • Make sure to build a central hub at your main base rather than linking every teleporter pair individually.
  • Keep a spare teleporter item in their inventory while exploring.
  • Use the map to plan routes and see where your network reaches.
  • Unlock more Memories at Forgotten Temples to place more teleporters.
  • Make sure the area around your teleporter is open and clear so you don’t spawn inside blocks.
