What is the Essence of Void
Essence of Void in Hytale is a rare progression material and crafting resource. This item cannot be mined because it’s only dropped by Void enemies that spawn at night. You can acquire this crafting item for several different purposes, like crafting advanced crafting stations, unlocking magical recipes, and high-tier armor and gear.
Each essence has its own purpose in the game, but the Essence of Void is especially used for rare progression material. Unlike Essence of Life, this one is obtained by defeating a specific type of enemy at a particular time. Using this crafting item allows you to rush into top-tier gear and benches.
How To Get Essence of Void
Defeating the void enemies at night in Hytale allows you to get your hands on Essence of Void. It can’t be mined, crafted, or found in chests, so you must earn it through combat. Void mobs spawn after sunset and despawn at dawn.
These creatures are corrupted, dark enemies with glowing purple features. Each enemy typically yields 1 Essence of the Void per kill, but you get more if they’re bigger in size.
Red Forest or void‑affected terrain is the best location to find the void creatures. These zones tend to be darker and more hostile at night. Open regions like deserts, plains, and icy biomes also spawn Void monsters at night. This enemy type spawns best in open terrain where you can see and engage them fast.
Make sure to stay mobile while roaming at night so new Void enemies keep spawning around you. Standing still in one position reduces spawn triggers, so moving encourages more encounters. I highly recommend bringing strong armor and weapons before nightfall because these enemies hit harder and can deal massive damage.
Use the healing items like potions to stay alive while farming. Use the best weapons like Thorium Daggers and swords to eliminate them. Bow can be used to eliminate the void creatures from a safe distance.
