Luna The Shadow Dust, like most point-and-click adventure games, is best played by exploring it and experimenting with the various objects on screen. But if you’re stuck on one of the game’s many puzzles, consult this walkthrough!

The Library

Giant book! Empty giant book. Start by moving Layh onto the ladder and then jumping onto the floating shadow on the platform.

Once Layh is in the book, you can float freely on the spread of pages, just like how you could float in the night sky earlier. Start my hovering to the top-right of the left-hand-side page. You should see a humanoid bird with a stick there. Interact with that panel, and you will be shown a symbol.

Switch to Üri and get onto the cart to the left of the door. Ring the bell to get going. After travelling for some time, Üri will return with a bunch of books. Click on the book with the correct symbol and it’ll get sent to the big book.

Now switch to Layh and watch the big book slowly get filled. You need to do the above process 3 more times, starting with the panel at the bottom of the first page, and then continuing on to the top of the second page, and the bottom of the second page.

The symbols are randomised, so they’ll change on every playthrough and we can’t tell you which ones you need to proceed. Word to the wise: when you see a symbol, describe it or a part of it in your head. That might help you remember it for later.

After filling both pages of the book, a door will open at the final panel, making for an exit for Layh.

As for Üri, you have to move him through the door in the book.

In the next room, you have a number of floating books and a void in front of you. Click on the books in an order you like to have them build a bridge for you. Proceed along the bridge of books, adding books as necessary.

Eventually the bridge will build by itself, letting Üri walk to the right, into the dark. This section is a bit long, so stick with it and keep walking until you are past the floating books and the different coloured symbols.

You will end up at another wall of the library, which gives way to a door. Head on through to proceed to the next room.

The Hourglass Room

Üri and Layh are back together! Move Üri up the ladder and have him interact with the hourglass up there. You’ll watch a flashback of Üri taking a lantern and running through a door.

Descend the ladder and open the door as Üri. Switch to Layh and go through the door to end up in the upper-left room. Follow the flashback Üri out of the door and you’ll find an inaccessible ladder and a stone device with three orbs.

To solve this puzzle, you need to know the right combination of symbols on the stone device. The hint to this combination can be found in the upper-left room, but you’ll have to switch to the present day instead of the flashback.

With Layh in the upper-left room, switch to Üri and use the hourglass to switch back to the present day. Switch back to Layh and climb onto the bed by using the fallen wooden rafter. Have Layh jump onto the cloth that is blocking the wall above the bed, and you’ll finally have the hint revealed.

As Üri, switch back to the flashback using the hourglass, and go through the door, up the stairs, through the upper-left room and out onto the ledge. Put in the symbols onto the device and use the lever to the right of the device to lower the ladder.

The symbols seem to be consistent through playthroughs, so if you need a quick and easy solution, the symbols are, from left to right: four-pointed star, moon, and the infinity sign.

Üri reappears in the hourglass room. Climb up the stairs one last time and turn the hourglass to return to the present day. Now go back up through the upper-left room out onto the ledge and climb the ladder to proceed to the next room.
