Join us at Into Indie Games for another boss guide in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
After defeating both bosses in Kalina, it’s time to move on to the Gallery, a brand-new world filled with unfamiliar enemies, secrets, and, of course, more bosses.
This time, we’ll make our way through the Exhibition Wing, where we’ll come face-to-face with The Curator Mechanic Collector.

Preparations

The Curator is a unique boss fight, and preparing for it requires you to upgrade your weapon of choice and make sure your health and potions are upgraded as much as possible.
Not only that, but you must have unlocked some upgrades from Julian the Patchelier. These will grant you bonuses to your damage, increase your health, or even let you take less damage.
Be sure to check out what he has available, as it will help you. You will feel that the difficulty is a bit increased in The Gallery.
Phase 1

Unlike other bosses, the Curator is basically a moving tower, but he is not the only threat. There are guns on three sides of the arena that fire projectiles at you throughout the whole fight.
You can’t damage or destroy these guns, so you will only need to keep an eye out for their projectiles while focusing on the Curator.

If you look at the ground, you will notice that it has a grid. The Curator will move around the arena along these grid lines.
Before he does, he will light up a line and then, after some delay, move and perform his attack. This delay is your best opening to land attacks on him.

The first attack he will perform is when he takes out four lasers and quickly rotates them in the direction he picks.
When the boss reaches either edge of the grid, he connects to the nearby gun and electrifies the arena’s outer border.

He then fires vertical laser beams from the top and bottom while charging in a straight line toward the opposite side. The boss will go back and forth across the arena several times before the grid returns to normal.
Don’t focus on attacking during this sequence. Instead, stay away from the electrified perimeter, avoid his charging path, and dodge the lasers as he moves across the arena.

Your main goal is simply to survive the sequence without taking damage.
After you take out one-third of his health, you will be able to use your backpack attack to throw the bottom part of the Curator.
Phase 2
Now the Curator has only two parts, but he will gain a shield that you need to destroy. The boss will drop purple objects that you need to direct back at him using your backpack attack.
After a few well-aimed attacks, it should destroy the shield and allow you to go back to the fight.

During this phase, the Curator will remain in the center of the grid and shoot four lasers that rotate counterclockwise and cover the whole arena.
Simply dodge whenever one of them is nearby while you constantly focus on dealing damage.

The next attack is sending shockwaves across the entire area. By now, you already know how to deal with shockwave attacks, so simply dodge through them and continue dealing damage.

Once enough damage is done, you will be able to use your backpack attack on another piece of the Curator. This time, however, the piece will not be destroyed, and instead, it will perform its own attacks.
Phase 3

Now you have three things to keep an eye out for: the Curator, the guns on the side, and the stubborn piece. The good part is that you now have two targets to damage, and they still share the same health bar.
The bad news is that you might be overwhelmed by both targets’ laser attacks and end up taking damage.

The Curator will now have a shield and will shoot purple objects at you. You still need to use your backpack attack to send these back at him and remove his shield.
The stubborn piece, let’s just call it this for now, will have the four-laser quick rotation attack in the direction highlighted on the grid.

Probably the worst scenario here is when the stubborn piece performs the electrified area attack while the Curator spams shockwaves at you. Timing is necessary to survive, and chances are you might get hit.

They might also swap and pick attacks from previous phases and mix and match them. This is why you need to save your healing for this last phase, as it can be annoying and overwhelming.
The Reward

After successfully defeating the Curator, you will get two chests containing high-quality relics, alongside a new crafting material called Quantum Core.
And with that, we wrap up another guide for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. Thanks for checking it out!
