Discover everything you need to know about using the Firewood cutter in My Winter Car, including how to connect the PTO.
The Firewood Cutter in My Winter Car is located at the woodshed. The higher RPMs increase the cutting speed and can cut the log into smaller pieces. Connect the cutter manually, engage the PTO, and feel logs. The lumber conveyor split the firewood easily when connected to the Kekmet tractor. Keep feeding the log inside after each cut.

What is Firewood Cutter

The Firewood Cutter in My Winter Car is a movable log cutter found at the woodshed. You can use it to cut firewood faster. Take the chopped logs and move them over to the trailer. This machinery is used to chop logs into two separate pieces. Make sure to first connect the cutter to the Kekmet’s drive shaft. Once done, take a log out of the log pile and put the log in the cutter slot.

Doing so allows the cutter to cut the logs into two pieces. You can move the firewood to the trailer by using the conveyor to Kekmet’s trailer. An ear hitch lever is located on the right side of the interior of the tractor. This lever is used to adjust the height of the firewood cutter.
Use a hand lever PTO to make it start moving forward to initiate the conveyor. The firewood cutter will cut logs quickly if the Kekmet’s RPM is higher.
How To Find a Firewood Cutter

The Firewood Cutter in My Winter Car is located outside the woodshed near the house in Kesselinperä. This machine features an input conveyor belt, a cutting head, and an output conveyor that cuts the log. Make your way from the house along the path toward the woodshed to reach it on foot or drive the Kekmet tractor. This is usually spotted near the chopping block.
Attach the Firewood Cutter

After finding the Firewood Cutter, your objective is to connect it to the Kekmet tractor. Get inside the tractor to drive it close to the firewood cutter, making the alignment very tight. You need to check if the tractor is in neutral and the parking brake is engaged. Make sure to lower the rear hitch lever on the right side of the seat. Leave the tractor and go near the PTO shaft.

You can see the ‘Attach drive shaft’ prompt on the screen. Use this prompt to connect the tractor to the firewood cutter. Make your way back to the Kekmet and ignite the engine. Make sure to hit the PTO lever on the left of the steering wheel. Doing so allows you to power the firewood cutter.
How To Use a Firewood Cutter

You can feed logs and let the machine cut them into firewood after powering up the cutter. Make your way to the log pile near the woodshed and use the interaction key to pick up the log. Take it to the firewood cutter and put it in the input slot.

The next objective is to push the log into the cutting mechanism so it can pull the log in while the cutter is running. The cutter will chop the log into smaller pieces and move them along the output conveyor. Make sure to feed the log after each cut. You can get the split firewood from the trailer or from the pile near the output.
Pick it up to take it to your house or garage. You must check that the drive shaft is still connected if the cutter suddenly stops. Use the conveyor for large batches during the cold nights. Check that the Kekmet’s engine is running at a steady RPM.
