Nioh 3 – A Drop Of Hope Quest Walkthrough

As you explore the open areas during your time playing Nioh 3, you will find multiple collectibles and items and, of course, enemies that you will encounter.

In addition to that, you will encounter ghosts that have unfinished business and need your help to complete them. These are the side quests in the game and one of them is A Drop Of Hope.

How To Start A Drop Of Hope Quest Walkthrough

In order to start the A Drop of Hope quest, you need to make your way to the northeast of the map in the Tenryu River area.

You will find a shrine here and just past it, at the end of this path, you will find a ghost speaking.

This ghost is talking about some medicine that was stolen and he needs to bring it back to his wife. When you talk to him, he will point you toward an enemy camp just southwest of your location.

Find The Stolen Medicine

Make your way toward the camp and you will find a few human enemies scattered around. You can sneak and backstab them one by one or just go in directly, the choice is yours.

After you deal with all of them, head to the center of the camp where the bonfire is. Here you will see a dead body with yellow loot.

Interact with it, and you will pick up the item called Physick. This is the medicine the old man wanted you to bring back.

He will show up next to you and will be happy that you retrieved it for him. During the conversation, he will mention where his house is and urge you to quickly make your way there.

Deliver The Medicine To The Wife

Now your next task requires you to take it to his wife. You can find her in her house near the rice terraces north of the post town. This location is just further south from where you are.

When you reach the village, it will be full of Yokai and you need to find the ghost’s house among all the nearby houses.

It’s the one located to the west. You will find a big Yokai guarding the entrance. Before you can get access to the house, you will need to defeat this Yokai mini-boss.

It’s nothing too worrying, but this Yokai has larger health and uses a sword and his hand to attack.

Most of his attacks are slashes and combos formed from his sword, and occasionally punches from his other hand. Just take the fight easy and you should get him.

Complete A Drop Of Hope Quest Walkthrough

Inside the house, after you interact with the spirit there, you will realize that his wife has unfortunately died and you will hear her last words.

The ghost will appear and he will feel miserable that he failed his wife in keeping her alive.

After your conversation with him, the quest A Drop of Hope will be completed and you will receive one Ninja’s Lock, Omamori (Ninja), Omamori (Samurai), and exploration points as a reward for your efforts.
