How To Start A Small Mercy Quest

In order to start the A Small Mercy quest, you need to locate Eleanor in Sacrament. She can be found on the way to the Rockery, at the square northeast of the city.

When you speak to her, she will tell you that she offered a rune to a family because the husband is sick, but she hasn’t heard from them at all.

This is where the Cerim comes in, as she asks you to visit their house, which is located at the Beggar’s Alley, and find out what happened to them.

After the conversation, the A Small Mercy quest will begin and be added to your journal.

Where To Find The Family’s House

The Beggar’s Alley is located at the lower level of Sacrament, and you can easily access it from your current location. From Eleanor’s location, take the stairs down to the left, and you should see a ladder leading further down.

Take this ladder down, and then there will be another ladder at the end of this passage. At the bottom, not only will you find yourself in the Beggar’s Alley, but you will also be directly in front of the house.

Enter the house, and you will find a young girl in the middle. Approach her and interact with her to ask about her parents.

No Rest for the Wicked

The girl doesn’t know where they went, and she is supposed to wait there, so you need to look for them.

There is only one door inside this house, but when you try to open it, it says that it only opens from the other side. This forces you to find a way around.

On the opposite side of the door, destroy the wooden boxes and sidle your way across to the wooden beams. Use the beams to make it to the other side and jump from there.

No Rest for the Wicked

Walk inside, and sadly, you will see a horrible scene with the parents of the child. Interact with the book to the left and then head back to the girl’s location.

When you try to exit the house, the girl will hand you the rune that Eleanor asked you to retrieve.

How To Complete A Small Mercy Quest

With the rune at hand and the mystery resolved, you need to make your way back to Eleanor. However, this time, she’s back at the marketplace, just on the opposite side of where Whittacker is.

Speak to her here and let her know about the fate of the family. She will promise to take care of the girl and let you keep the rune.

This will complete the A Small Mercy quest, and you will unlock Eleanor as a merchant who specializes in runes and enchantments.
