Do Not Worry Too Much About Approving Or Rejecting The Cases

Now, one of the main tasks as you start playing the game is going to be deciding whether to approve or reject the case presented in front of you. That application form may contain some errors. So, at the very start, you can carefully check every detail and reject or approve based on those findings.
However, later on, you will unlock a pen that will let you fix those issues automatically. So, you can simply run the pen through the entire application. That way, you will not have to check every single detail by reading. However, do note that you will still have to check the expiry date on the form, as that specific detail cannot be changed with the pen.
That said, as you progress further into the game, you will soon be able to hire some extra help. So, you will be able to hire two people to help you out. One person can handle processing all incoming cases. The other person can be placed inside the investigation room. So, you really just have to focus on the active tasks at hand. Or you can investigate the open cases to earn more money for your police station.
Do Not Fax Rejected Cases

One of the biggest mistakes you can make at the beginning of the game is faxing the rejected cases. Upon doing that, you will quickly see that your overall station reputation will suffer significantly. Even if you make an error and mistakenly approve or reject an application that should not have been approved or rejected, that is totally fine.
It does not seem like you lose any reputation for making that simple mistake. However, if you fax a rejected case, even if it was rejected for the right reasons, you will get a thumbs-down penalty. So, what you need to do instead is shred that rejected case. Alongside processing application forms, you will also be tasked at the beginning with getting a shredder and a fax machine.
So, make sure to purchase both items and place them directly on your main office desk. Then, simply fax all of the approved ones and shred all of the rejected ones.
Hire Carefully

Now, at the beginning, you would not need to worry about hiring officers for daily tasks. However, later on, you will have to be very careful with who you decide to hire. You will be able to see their individual character stats before hiring them. So, make sure to already have a specific task you want to assign to them in mind before making your hiring decision.
For example, having an officer who possesses more intelligence may be much better at investigating complex cases or handling patrol duties. The latter includes assigning parking tickets to cars parked over their designated allowed time, arresting people who are breaking the rules, and much more.
Do Not Be Afraid To Spend The Money

At the beginning, it will seem like you have pretty little money and that you have to be very careful with spending it wisely. However, do not worry about that too much. Just keep progressing through the game and do not worry about spending too much money. You will have to spend some extra bucks in order to renovate the entire police station.
That renovation should be your absolute main priority. Having upgraded the station to level one, there will be two more station upgrades available. We recommend making those station upgrades as soon as humanly possible. Such upgrades are highly beneficial for you. Also, once you have hired enough officers, you will actually be earning plenty of money every day.
So, then, your focus will entirely be on spending all your excess money. So, you should not worry too much about spending the money at the beginning too. Just do not buy so much of the basic supply stock that it stops you from upgrading the main police station.
Balance Your Resources

Now, as this is a full simulator game, you will have to manage all of your resources carefully. There are going to be application papers, and they run out very quickly. Other than that, there will be printing paper too, which also runs out very quickly during daily operations. However, they only cost 10 bucks per pack, so you can buy maybe five packs of each paper type.
You will only have to walk over to the local pawn shop once in person, as after that first visit, you will be able to call them directly for delivery. So, simply order five packs of each type. Then, stock them either directly in your character inventory or place the supply boxes somewhere you will easily remember. Now, you will have to manually restock both paper trays yourself, so do keep that important detail in mind.
The Tasks Do Not Need To Be Completed On The Same Day

Now, you have an energy bar, and once that bar is fully depleted, you will either need to drink coffee or get some sleep. The latter option is much better. That is because you should definitely go to sleep rather than spending more unnecessary time walking around in the night. That said, there are some specific tasks that may take quite a bit longer than originally expected.
For instance, consider the task where you have to find cars that have exceeded their allocated parking time limit or a car that is parked completely wrong. You have to find five of those offending cars and give each of them a parking ticket. Now, it is not challenging to write a ticket, but it can be really tough to find five qualifying cars instantly.
Even after checking everywhere at night, we were able to find only four cars and spent way too much precious time searching around for that last remaining car. However, that effort was not worth it. When we went to bed and came back the next day, it was so incredibly easy to find that last car to complete the task.
So, you do not really have to complete every single task on the same day. You can easily focus on other things as well.
Crowbar Is A Really Helpful Tool

You might think the crowbar’s only function is removing planks from the door, but it has a much more critical purpose. When you receive the quest to “Clean up the Registration Room,” you may be confused about what to do. This is where the crowbar’s true utility comes into play.
Use the crowbar on the objects scattered around the station, including the cabinets and other furniture. Destroy any pile of clutter you see, collect all the debris, and place it in the bin. Once you take out the trash, the registration room cleaning quest will be complete.
That is pretty much it for our tips on how to get started in Police Chief Simulator. Hopefully, our guide helps you in your journey.
