StarRupture is a first-person base-building game where you have access to a vast open world. You can explore the world and find different materials, items, and monsters. Initially, you won’t be able to fight the monsters. However, after getting access to guns, you will be able to do so. For more information regarding the game, head over to its Steam page.
As you progress in the game, you will notice an event happening. This is a rare event, but since this is a base-building game, you will most likely play it for a long time, so it is going to become more common. The event is called Ruptura, similar to the game’s name, and during it, a Planetary Firestorm will occur.
The entire planet will be covered in the firestorm, so things will get dangerous. In this guide, I will tell you everything I know about Planetary Firestorm in StarRupture and how to avoid it.

Planetary Firestorm Explanation

If you want to know what is causing this explosion, the answer is pretty simple. The explosions are being caused by the planet’s sun, and your goal is to stop it from destroying the planet entirely. This is because you are on this planet to conduct research on different materials.
This event is known as Ruptura. It is not too rare, but not too common either. Also, it won’t just occur without warning; you will get plenty of warning signs before the explosion happens. When it does, it will cause a firestorm everywhere. As of now, you can’t do anything to prevent it, so you will need to take precautionary measures to protect yourself against it.
How To Survive The Explosion

You can survive the explosion, and if you don’t, it is going to be a real problem. The explosion, as mentioned before, won’t occur instantly. You will be able to see it from quite far away, and that is the first sign. You still have a couple of minutes before it sets off. So, quickly finish what you are doing and head inside your habitat.
If you are away from your base, immediately start heading back. You can survive the explosion if you are inside your habitat. It is not enough to just be at your base; you need to be inside the habitat, as that is the only way to survive it. Once the explosion occurs, wait inside the habitat for a while.
If you step outside too soon, you will notice that the air is still dizzy and hot, which means it is still unsafe, so head back inside immediately.
What Happens After The Explosion

After the massive explosion occurs, most of your machines won’t be working. This is natural, but if you want, you can cool them off manually. This process may take some time, but if you wait a bit, the planet’s temperature will return to normal soon enough.
That said, it isn’t the only aftermath of the explosion. Once the event is over, head outside your base, and you will see some new materials. For a limited amount of time, you will be able to find items like Ignitium. After the explosion, more meteors will be available on the planet, so you will have access to a lot more items.
This way, you can collect even more meteor hearts, which are necessary if you want to create additional bases.
That is pretty much everything you need to know about the Planetary Firestorm in StarRupture and how to survive the explosion.
