Fishing in Sunken Engine involves retrieving fish that hide in underwater wrecks. Unlock this feature while completing contracts in Jeremiah’s Shipyard and selling items in the bazaar to earn money. You get access to fishing while repairing the ships. The fish you catch while fishing is sold at the bazaar.
Earning money is crucial in the Sunken Engine to unlock new skills and buy upgrades. Clean the ship using the brush, and take out the trash using the garbage bin. Burn the trash in the furnace and use the Scraping Spatula to collect other items like Starfish and Oyster.

How To Unlock Fishing
Interact with the Blackreef in the Jeremiah’s Shipyard, near the locked door. You can simply fast-travel to an available location by clicking on it. You can find an NPC offering something in exchange for money. Click on the location shown below to find the merchant to unlock the fishing area in Sunken Engine
Upon clicking on the location, you will find yourself in a new area. Head inside and press ‘E’ to speak with Silas Mudgett.
Click on the ‘Show me what you’ve got’ option and you’ll see three upgrades for the fishing area. The first upgrade will cost you $500. It basically unlocks the Fishing Bell in the fishing zone. You’ll receive a notification when a fish takes the bait.
How To Fish in Sunken Engine
Starting fishing in Sunken Engine by sitting in the fishing chair. Cast your rod into the sea and wait for a bite. Once the rod starts shaking, start to pull in. Some fish are more dangerous than others, so watch out for the red zones. Press the LMB when the gauge is in the green zone.
Simply cast your line to start fishing. Wait patiently for a fish to bite, and you can take care of other tasks while the line is in the water. Fish catch rate increases when the storm begins. Collect the fish and sell them at the bazaar to earn money.
Once you start progressing through the game, a new path will be created in Jeremiah’s Shipyard. Move to the wooden path on the left to reach the fishing spot. Sitting on the chair allows you to equip the fishing rod that is already available there. Press the E key upon approaching the chair to sit on it.
You can catch more fish during a rain or a storm. Press the LMB to cast the fishing rod and right-click to reel in the line. You need to press the E key to start reeling in the fish. Once the fishing rod starts shaking, press the LMB when the orange bar in the green section of the gauge.
Once you press the button at the right moment, the green section starts disappearing, and you get the fish when all the green sections vanish. The first fish that you can get in the Splitjaw that you can sell at the bazaar. So, unlock the fishing feature in Sunken Engine to unlock the fishing feature. Unlock the fishing skills from the renovation table to catch bigger fish. Unlocking this skill costs you skill points and a specific level.
