You’ll find a fax machine or contract board at the shipyard in Sunken Engine. Accept the job to repair the ship. Once the ship arrives, you’ll move onboard and inspect the damage, like garbage, rust, bent metal, broken surface, damaged bulb, and locked doors or compartments.

Use your brush, scrapers, and garbage bin to remove the trash or purchase them from the furnace.

Unlock skills that make repairs faster or easier. While repairing, you’ll collect things like starfish and oysters. Selling these items at the bazaar gives you extra money.

You hand over the ship, receive payment, XP, and unlock the next job after completing the task.

You can only repair one ship at a time, meaning you also accept one contract at once.

1. Repair the Damage Surface

The bigger ships can have damaged or cracked floor sections that need patching. Pick up a wooden plank and two nails from the shelf, then repair the broken surface. For certain repairs, you need additional materials like bulbs, nails, and wood.

To get these, use the map next to the Shipyard’s entrance to go to the market and purchase the required materials. After that, take the materials back in the crate and place them on the shelves in the shipyard.

You can use the wood to patch up broken wooden surfaces and nail for patching wooden surfaces with wood. Use the nails or wood to repair the ship if required.

You need to move the hammer with your mouse and press the LMB when the point reaches the green bar.

2. Repair the Bulb

Most ships have damaged bulbs that can’t be repaired. However, you can replace them with the new ones. Purchase the bulb from the market and place it in a crate in the Shipyard.

Use this bulb to replace the old one when required. Make sure you have the Electrotechnician’s License. Approach the bulb while holding the backpack and hold the designated button to replace it.

Simply press the related input once to remove the bulb and click again to install the new bulb.

3. Lockpick

The bigger shops require you to change the bulb, repair the broken wood, and unlock the door by lockpicking. The mechanics for unlocking the door are a little bit complex, as you need to do it the right way.

Purchase the lockpick from the market and its license from the bank. Having the Lockpick Permit allows you to start lockpicking the ships using the lockpick.

Take your lockpick, rotate it, and test if the lock turns completely. If it doesn’t, adjust your angle and try again. Make sure not to break the lockpick.

You need to rotate the lockpick to find the correct angle. Hold to turn the luck and test the position. If the angle is wrong, the lockpick will break or shake. Make sure to locate the right spot and fully turn the lock to open it.

4. Repair the Radio

Most ships that arrive will have a radio that’s not working properly. Purchase the Communication License to calibrate and maintain ship radios for reliable communication.

Simply approach the radio in the ship and interact with it. You need to rotate the red and blue knobs to align the lights correctly.

Move to the green level left or right to light up the green indicator when both are correct.

Remove Mysterious Eyes and Cursed Symbols

Some ships that arrive in the shipyard will have cursed symbols and mysterious eyes all over.

You can remove the cursed symbol using the Necronomicon and mysterious eyes via the Scraping Spatula.
