Vampire Crawlers is a grind-heavy deckbuilding roguelike with a ton of unlockables. In the beginning, you have to unlock Power Ups and Crawlers, and as you progress a bit further, you also have to unlock Gem Slots and manage Gems. To do all that, however, you need to spend Coins. Unfortunately, Coins aren’t that easy to come by, especially when you’re stuck on a difficult floor in a specific dungeon.
Of course, you can always play through the previous dungeons you’ve cleared to earn Coins, but there are certain things you can do to make your Coin Runs more efficient. In this guide, we’ll give you some quick and easy tips to stock up on Coins so that you can work your way through the Power Up tree to make your runs stronger.

Greed is the Stat to Go For

In Vampire Crawlers, there are a whopping 18 different stats that you’ll have to level up. But when it comes to increasing your Coin gain, Greed is the only stat that matters. Each point invested in Greed from the Power Ups menu will increase your Coin gain by 25%. When you max it out, you’ll gain 125% extra Coins from all sources.
In the early game, it’s a good idea to invest 2 to 3 ranks into the Greed Power Up just so you have a steady flow of Coins coming in as you progress through the game naturally. Maxing it out is also a good idea, but it’s a massive investment that is only worth it if you plan on doing a lot of Coin Runs following the upgrade.
Since you can always refund your Coins with the press of a button from the Power Ups menu, consider maxing out Greed when you want to focus on earning as many Coins as possible.
Best Crawlers to Pick

Vampire Crawlers feature a big roster of 22 different Crawlers, each with its own unique abilities. Some Crawlers are great at stacking up damage, some let you cycle through your deck faster, drawing one card after the other, and then there’s one that excels at farming Coins.
The Crawler we’re talking about is none other than Gallo, unlocked by completing the Gallo Tower and defeating him. Playing the Gallo Crawler Card grants you 25% bonus to Greed immediately. On top of that, his Trigger Ability lets you gain 10% more Coins whenever you play a Wild Card.
Unfortunately, Gallo Tower is a late-game 6 Difficulty zone that can be accessed once you get past Weeny Bridge. So you’ll have to progress quite a bit before you can get your hands on this powerful Crawler.
Bomba Infernale Trick for Quick Money Loop

One of the best ways to earn Coins quickly in the mid-game is to do the Bomba Infernale trick. For this to work, you first need to unlock the Bomba Infernale Relic by exploring the Dairy Plant Stage. The Relic adds a button beside the Field Map that you can press to nuke the first floor of any Stage you’ve previously completed.
The trick is pretty straightforward as well. Choose any of the previously completed Stage from the World Map and enter the dungeon. Press the button to nuke the floor and clear out all the enemy encounters. Rush through the level-up rewards as they won’t matter for this trick. Go around the floor picking up all the loot. Choose the Cash Out option whenever you get it and then head to the next floor.
As soon as you enter the second floor, choose Exit to Village from the Pause Menu. You’ll keep all the Coins you earned for clearing the floor. This whole loop takes only a minute or two and nets you a decent bit of Coin for no risk at all. Repeat it for as long as you like if you’re working toward a specific upgrade or Crawler.
Doing this trick at Curd Refinery at just 50% Greed gives you around 800 Coins if you use Cash Out on the Chest. It takes you around 30 seconds to complete a loop. So you can earn more than 90k Coins if you keep this up for an hour.
Best Gems & Cards

During a normal playthrough, you’ll be picking up Cards that make your deck stronger and Gems that complement your cycle and playstyle. However, for Coin Runs through previous zones, you can be a bit greedier. For one thing, you already know the enemies you’ll face, so you can pick up Cards according to that. And since you’ll also have more unlocks to play around with, early stages shouldn’t give you much trouble if you bring a decent Crawler with a good starting deck.
When you’re going on Coin Runs, keep an eye out for the following Gems:
- Greed: Increases the Greed Stat when you play the card.
- Midas: Any Card you play earns Coins when the Card imbued with the Gem is in your Hand.
- Mug: Card imbued with this Gem earns Coins when it kills an enemy.
In the case of Cards, the following directly impact your economy:
- Vicious Hunger(2): Can turn enemies into Coins.
- Stone Mask (1): You’ll gain 10% more Coins, but the Card is destroyed on use.
- Big Coin Bag (Wild): You’ll gain 25 Coins, but the Card is destroyed on use.
- Coin Purse (Wild): You’ll gain 10 Coins and Draw a Card, but the Card is destroyed on use.
While these Gems and Cards might not fit your deck on a normal run, for Coin Runs, these directly affect how many Coins you earn for completing the zone.
