Voidling Bound: Breeding Guide

Welcome to our breeding guide for Voidling Bound.

Breeding in Voidling Bound is much more complicated than just capturing strong creatures. It is certainly important to catch unusual Voidlings but at the same time it is all about genetics, stat inheritance, nature tuning, and proper setup for farming.

In case you want to breed a creature that will have ideal stats, acquire the maximum amount of resources, and understand the breeding process from the genetic point of view, this article will be very helpful.

This guide will tell you how to make a base-20 beast and the best Voidling for farming.

Understanding Stat Inheritance

Many players assume they can create a perfect Voidling simply through leveling. Unfortunately, that’s not how the system works.

Level Cap Limitations

Every Voidling has:

AttributeValue
Maximum Level20
Stat Points Earned Per Level1
Maximum Stat Gain Through Leveling20

Because a Voidling can only gain 20 points in a stat through leveling, reaching 20 in every stat requires breeding and inheritance.

The breeding system allows offspring to inherit the strongest traits from both parents, effectively combining the best attributes into a single creature.

Essential Breeding Upgrades

Before attempting serious breeding projects, invest heavily in Henry’s breeding research. You need all of them really.

Three upgrades are particularly important:

UpgradePurpose
Enhanced Baby FormulaImproves inheritance quality
Quality Nest MaterialsIncreases breeding efficiency
Void Resonance TreatmentImproves chances of inheriting stronger parent stats

These upgrades do not guarantee perfect offspring, but they significantly increase the likelihood that babies inherit the highest available stat values from their parents.

The Importance of Wrangler Rank 50

One of the biggest mistakes new breeders make is starting large breeding projects too early.

Why Rank 50 Matters

At Wrangler Rank 50, you unlock the inheritance upgrade that allows offspring to inherit 100% of a parent’s stat value.

Anything below Rank 50 introduces a significant element of chance.

Wrangler RankInheritance Reliability
Below 50Partial inheritance and RNG
Rank 50Full stat inheritance available

How to Increase Wrangler Rank

You can raise your rank by:

  • Discovering new genes
  • Evolving Voidlings
  • Progressing through the game’s collection systems

While reaching Rank 50 requires considerable grinding, it dramatically improves breeding efficiency and is highly recommended before pursuing perfect-stat projects.

Creating a Perfect Base-20 Voidling

One of the most efficient approaches to building a perfect Voidling is the Assembly Line Method.

The example below uses a Nimiod, but the same principle applies to any species.

Preparation

You’ll need:

RequirementQuantity
Same-Species Voidlings6 (should have 3 nests)
Target Level20
Michael’s Expert Workout and Additional Expert MachineRecommended

Michael’s Expert Workout Machine can train two Voidlings to Level 20 simultaneously, greatly reducing preparation time.

Step 1: Create Five Specialists

Train five separate Voidlings, each specializing in one attribute.

VoidlingStat Focus
Specialist 1Strength 20
Specialist 2Essence 20
Specialist 3Vitality 20
Specialist 4Recuperation 20
Specialist 5Agility 20

The sixth Voidling acts as a backup breeding partner when needed.

Step 2: First Breeding Combinations

Begin combining specialized parents at the Nest.

Parent AParent BDesired Result
Strength SpecialistEssence SpecialistStrength + Essence
Vitality SpecialistAgility SpecialistVitality + Agility
Recuperation SpecialistSpare Agility SpecialistRecuperation + Agility

After breeding, wait for the eggs to hatch.

Step 3: Evaluate Offspring

Run a mission while the breeding process completes.

Upon returning, examine the offspring.

Your goal is to identify babies that inherited both maximum stats from their parents.

Example Targets

Desired Combination
Strength + Essence
Vitality + Agility
Recuperation + Agility

Inheritance is still subject to RNG, so multiple attempts may be required.

The Henry upgrades dramatically improve success rates.

Step 4: Build Triple-Stat Offspring

Once you’ve obtained successful dual-stat offspring:

  1. Level them to 20.
  2. Add Vitality to both breeding lines.

At this stage you should have:

OffspringStats
Child AStrength + Essence + Vitality
Child BRecuperation + Agility + Vitality

Step 5: Final Breeding Pass

Breed the two triple-stat offspring together.

The ideal result is a baby inheriting:

  • Strength 20
  • Essence 20
  • Vitality 20
  • Recuperation 20
  • Agility 20

If You Miss One Stat

Don’t panic.

Even if the offspring inherits only four of the five target stats:

  1. Level the Voidling to 20.
  2. Invest level-up points into the missing attribute.

This allows you to finish with an effective all-around base-20 build.

Core Stat-Building Method

1) Start with two Voidlings
Level both to 20 and fully max one stat on each.

2) Breed them
Breed the pair until you get two offspring that inherit both maxed stats. From this point onward, those stats are “locked in,” since both parents share them. This prevents you from constantly rolling RNG across multiple changing stats at once.

(In your original example, the second breeding phase involves 4 variable stats ranging from 1–20. That’s at best around a 1 in 10 chance to hit all maxed. By isolating only 2 changing stats at a time, the odds improve to roughly 1 in 4.)

3) Expand again
Level the two new Voidlings to 20, then max a different stat on each.

4) Repeat breeding
Breed these two again to produce two new offspring with the updated stat combinations.

5) Final stat completion
Level both to 20 again:

  • One Voidling maxes a fifth stat
  • The other uses its points to re-max the original four stats
(Assumes you don’t have the upgrade that copies 100% of parent stats.)

6) Lock in breeding stock
Once you cap two offspring with full stats, you now have stable, reliable breeding lines.

Optional Step 0: Nature / Quality First

Before touching stats, it’s recommended to first lock in nature and quality modifiers. You can stack up to two modifiers this way.

Example target: Exceptionally Ferocious

To achieve this, you first need:

  • A Strong Voidling
  • A Witty Voidling
  • Any Voidling with the Exceptional modifier
(Preferably Strong or Witty, but not required)

Nature Breeding Process

(Do not level any of these Voidlings)

1) Strong × Witty → Ferocious
This must be done first. If you introduce Exceptional too early, it can merge incorrectly and become unseparable later.

2) Exceptional × Ferocious → Exceptionally Ferocious
This is the longest step due to heavy RNG, but it is achievable.

3) Duplicate the result
Breed your Exceptionally Ferocious Voidling with the original Exceptional until you get a second Exceptionally Ferocious (50% chance, much easier than repeating step 2).

4) Begin stat breeding
Once you have two Exceptionally Ferocious Voidlings, start the main stat-building process from Step 1.

Understanding Nature Inheritance

Stats are only half the equation.

Many players lose powerful bonuses because they misunderstand how Nature inheritance works. Natures occur in 3 types: Common, Notable, Exceptional.

The Lowest-Tier Rule

Nature inheritance follows different rules than stat inheritance.

Consider the following example:

Parent 1Parent 2Offspring Result
Exceptionally HealthyNotably HealthyNotably Healthy

The offspring defaults to the lower-quality version.

This means that an Exceptional nature cannot be preserved unless both parents possess the exact same Exceptional nature.

Preserving Exceptional Bonuses

To maintain premium stat bonuses:

RequirementNecessary?
Same Nature TypeYes
Same Nature TierYes
Both Exceptional QualityYes

Failing any of these conditions results in a weaker inherited nature.

Why Relentless Natures Are Valuable

Some Natures provide bonuses to multiple stats simultaneously.

One of the most desirable examples is the Relentless category.

Benefits

  • Boosts two separate attributes
  • Excellent for hybrid builds
  • Increases breeding efficiency
  • Reduces specialization requirements

Whenever you encounter a high-quality Relentless nature, consider preserving it for future breeding projects.

Building the Ultimate Farming Voidling

Once you’ve created a perfect stat-focused Voidling, the next step is converting it into a farming specialist.

The Nimiod is widely considered one of the strongest farming Voidlings available.

Why Nimiod Excels at Farming

Nimiod possesses an Area-of-Effect Air attack that synergizes exceptionally well with farming setups.

When paired with the Packet Vacuum effect from the Cerebrum Enhancer’s tertiary ability slot, it automatically gathers Research Points from a large area.

Benefits

ResourceAutomatically Collected
Research PointsYes
MutagensNo
EggsNo

Although you’ll still need to manually collect Mutagens and Eggs, the automatic Research Point collection significantly improves farming efficiency.

Essential Farming Genes

To maximize farming output, splice the following three genes onto your farming Voidling.

Option 2: The Abyss

For maximum rewards, the Abyss remains the premier farming destination.

What to Look For

Endless Farming Strategy

When the timer reaches zero:

  1. Ignore the exit portals.
  2. Stay inside the encounter.
  3. Continue defeating enemies indefinitely.
  4. Leave only when you’ve gathered sufficient rewards.

Because enemies continue spawning, farming potential becomes extremely high.

If your goal is to create the strongest possible Voidlings, focus on three priorities:

  1. Reach Wrangler Rank 50.
  2. Preserve valuable Exceptional Natures.
  3. Build specialized breeding lines before combining them.

Breeding in Voidling Bound is ultimately a long-term investment. The process can be time-consuming, but a perfectly bred Voidling dramatically outperforms anything created through normal leveling alone.
