Where Winds Meet – Cries In The Distance Quest Guide

Sometimes you will be doing quests in Where Winds Meet until you come across a puzzle that might make you scratch your head, since you got used to quests being simple and straightforward, but that’s not the case with all of them.

Numerous quests actually require you to listen carefully or read the hint in order to help you solve them. However, with our guides, you don’t even need to worry about it.

How To Start Cries In The Distance Quest

In order to start the Cries in the Distance quest, you need to make your way to the top of Moonveil Mountain, just west of the Qinghe region.

Once you reach the top, you will be able to hear someone screaming and asking for help. You should get a sound indicator on your screen that will help direct you to the source of the voice.

Simply go to the ledge and go down, where you will find a cave entrance underneath the big tree. Interact with the door, and you will be sent inside.

Once you are inside, you will realize that the man is trapped behind a wall, and you will need to go speak to him.

After you complete the conversation with him, look at the opposite side, and you will find some vines. Use your fire arrows to burn them, and then stand on the contraption there.

Doing so will free the man, and you will be able to talk to him. You will learn about the puzzle in this room that he has been trying to solve but couldn’t, and maybe with your help, you will be able to.

How To Solve The Yin Yang Puzzle

After you and Feng step on the two platforms to bring up the Yin and Yang puzzle, there will be four contraptions around it that you can turn alongside the middle one. This is where the puzzle is.

You need to rotate all of them in a specific order in order to unlock the secret passage.

Start by turning the central mechanism once clockwise, then set two contraptions to face inward and the other two to face outward. You can tell they are facing inward by the dragon head.

If you did it correctly, you should see the air flowing to the center, which indicates that you did it correctly.

Once that’s done, the center will reveal a hidden passage. Drop down there for the next objective.

Here, you will need to interact with five items to learn more about the cave’s secrets. These are marked by the yellow markers, so do that.

After you complete this, Feng will ask for your help in opening another secret door. Follow him and interact with it to open it. This will lead you to a boss fight arena.

How To Defeat The Thick-Skinned Albino Bear

This is not your usual boss fight where you just need to defeat the bear; you actually need to use the Tai Chi skill on it in order to crash it onto the three piles of stones in the arena.

By now, you should know how Tai Chi works. The plan is to simply lure the bear near one of the piles of rocks, then use the skill and aim so you throw it in the direction of the pile.

Do this three times, and it should defeat the bear and reveal three treasure chests. Don’t forget to loot all three of them for your additional rewards.

The last thing you need to do is inform Feng of your triumph, and this will conclude the quest.
