Where Winds Meet – Echoes Of Battles Quest Guide

During your time playing Where Winds Meet, you will find yourself exploring something new at every corner you look at, from small towns to new characters and many quests you can complete.

One of the early quests you might stumble upon is Echoes of the Battles. This quest starts off quite easy, but toward the end there is a wall puzzle that is probably the reason why you are looking at this guide.

How To Start The Echoes Of Battles Quest

In order to start the Echoes of Battles quest, you need to head east of the Qinghe region to the Verdant Wilds area. You should see a door icon on your map once you approach this location.

Here, you will spot a man eavesdropping on some guards, so go talk to him to find out what’s going on. During the conversation, you will learn that there is a secret treasure room of the Northern Vows.

This will begin the quest, and your first objective will be to eavesdrop on the guards’ conversation.

How To Open The Secret Room

After you go inside the door, you will see a few guards in front of you. Simply use the corresponding button to start the eavesdrop feature.

Now that you’ve heard the whole conversation, use your fire arrows and shoot the red barrels to kill them quickly. There are a few other enemies nearby, so feel free to take them out.

Where you need to go next is to the east of this area, where you will find the training ground. Here, there will be a mini boss that you can defeat alongside some other enemies.

After you complete the fight, there will be a chest nearby that you can interact with to get the map that will allow you to open the hidden room beneath you.

What you need to do is interact with two braziers: the one near the treasure where you found this document, and the second one just south of this area.

After you activate both of them, go to the middle of the training ground and use the Mighty Drop skill to activate the contraption.

How To Solve The Wall Puzzle

Enter the underground dungeon and progress forward. The path is straightforward, so you shouldn’t get lost, but be careful with the traps. At some point, you will reach a room with a huge statue in the middle.

Interact with this statue to turn it around. This will activate the walls in the room, which will bring out some slabs with Chinese letters on them.

Now, this is the part where many get stuck at first, but what you need to do is interact with three of them in a specific order.

After you successfully complete the wall puzzle, the door will be unlocked, and you will be able to progress forward.

Do that, and you will reach the waterwheel blocking the door to the secret room. All you have to do is go inside the waterfall and interact with the level to unclog it.

This will unlock the door to the secret room, where the hidden treasure is.

How To Complete The Echoes Of Battles Quest

Now that you have finally made it to the end of this dungeon, you should find a golden chest at the furthest back of the room.

Interact with it, and you will get the Touch of Death alongside some other rewards. This is a new technique skill allows you to assassinate people from a distance.

Now all that is left is to interact with the markings just to the left of the chest in order to complete the quest.
