Since you need to build your colony from scratch, you will also need to take care of your Whiskers. This means providing them with food, shelter, and more. In this guide, I will show you how to get food for your Whiskers in Whiskerwood easily, especially early in the game.

Whiskerwood is currently in Early Access, so it is still a work in progress. This means it is not the final version, and there are likely to be some changes in the future. If you are not satisfied with its current state, it might be better to wait for the final release.
How To Get Food In Whiskerwood
Food is essential in city builders because you need to feed your workers to keep them happy and productive. You cannot expect your Whiskers to perform at their best if they are not properly taken care of. Additionally, failing to feed them will lower your approval rating. The higher your Whiskers’ expectations, the higher-quality food you will need to provide.
At the start of the game, you will be given some food supplies, which are usually enough for the first day. They may also last into the second day, but I recommend securing more food by the end of day two or even midway through the day so your colony can perform better. After completing a day, you will receive the quest Secure Food.
To gather food, you will need to build a Forage Hut. Building it will also reward you with 13 logs and 8 trinkets. From the Resource Extraction section, select the Forage Hut and place it in a suitable location. It requires three logs to construct. After building it, assign a couple of Whiskers and select berries for them to collect.
Types Of Food In Whiskerwood
There are quite a few types of food you get in the game, and they are as follows:

You can get raw food quite easily, but for cooked food and other types, you will need to progress further in the game and craft additional buildings. The stars on the food are linked to the stars of your workers. A worker with one star will be happy eating raw food, but a worker with three stars will complain if given raw food, resulting in negative thoughts.
