Try Not To Miss Anything

Running a shop in Witchy Business can get hectic before you know it. Each day, you’ll need to juggle taking customer orders, fending off thieves, feeding your pet familiar, cleaning stains, and more. Since you only have a short window to interact with the customers, you’ll need to act fast.

You want to pay extra attention to stains on the table whenever they appear. Leaving a mess will result in a direct hit to your reputation. Thieves will occasionally slip in and try to steal your Coins. Use your Wand to Hex them down before they can run off with your hard-earned income.

On the other hand, delivering orders with a 5-star rating and responding to requests quickly will help raise your shop’s reputation. And in Witchy Business, your reputation is every bit as important as the Coins you earn.
Don’t Accept Every Order
Taking and completing orders is the main way to earn Coins and Reputation, but that doesn’t mean you need to accept everything that comes your way. If you’re running low on ingredients or Coins and aren’t sure if you can deliver on time, it’s better to decline. Missing a deadline hurts your reputation, while declining simply means losing out on the potential reward.

The same goes for the occasional merchants or the Potion Junkie who visit your shop. They often offer useful ingredients at fair prices, but you’re never forced to buy anything. Only spend your Coins if the deal is good or helps with an order you’re working on.
Get 5-Star on Orders
The core gameplay loop in Witchy Business is simple: you accept customer orders during the day, and then head to your Alchemy Station to use ingredients and craft different potions, wands, or curses.

When crafting, always go for a 5-star rating to keep your products in peak condition. Each item type has its own requirements. For wands, your score depends on how precisely you cut the leaves, how well you scrape the stick, and whether the crown fits perfectly. For potions, you’ll need to mix the ingredients in the correct order and stir the cauldron properly.

Delivering 5-star items not only earns you bonus Coins but also boosts your reputation, both of which are essential for the long-term success of your shop.
Unlocking New Potions
As you progress, you’ll unlock the ability to craft Mysterious Potions. This option allows you to select any two or three ingredients and blend them in the cauldron. Your Grimoire (the open book in front of the cauldron) can help guide you by showing silhouettes of the ingredients needed for undiscovered potions.

If you choose the right ingredients and stir correctly, you’ll create a Mysterious Potion. Hand it over to the Potion Junkie when he visits your shop to unlock a new recipe. From then on, you’ll start receiving customer orders for that potion, giving you more ways to earn Coins and Reputation.

If you mix the wrong ingredients, however, you’ll end up with a Dangerous Experiment. This has to be handed over to the Potion Warden when they visit your shop, or you’ll take a hit to your Reputation. There’s a small risk-reward factor here, but the potential reward far outweighs the risk.
Prioritize Next Day Deliveries
Managing resources is one of the biggest challenges in Witchy Business. When crafting, you’ll often find yourself short on one or two ingredients. Early in the game, your main source of supplies is the Shop, and because it relies on RNG, you’ll usually end up leaving some orders incomplete.

That’s why it’s important to prioritize. Each order has a due date that can range from 1 to 4 days or even more. When you close up shop and start crafting orders, make sure you start with the ones that are due the next day first. This will make sure that customers won’t leave your shop empty-handed.
Check the Shop Daily
The Shop is your best friend in Witchy Business during the early game. If you’re missing a key ingredient for an order, always check the Shop first to see if it’s available. If it isn’t, you can use the restock button to refresh the inventory. Restocking costs 5 Coins the first time, but the price increases with each use.

Some items in the Shop may also appear at a discount. It’s worth picking these up even if you don’t need them immediately, as this helps you build a steady stockpile of ingredients for future orders.
Best Upgrades To Unlock Early

Witchy Business lets you upgrade both your shop and your sanctuary. These upgrades require both Coins and Reputation, so it’s important to plan carefully. You can’t afford to buy everything at once, so prioritize the ones that will give you the biggest impact early on.
At the start, it’s usually better to focus on Sanctuary upgrades since Shop upgrades tend to be more expensive.

Best Shop Upgrades
- Idol of Merit: Grants bonus Reputation on delivering perfect orders
- Music Box: Increases the wait timer for the customers
- Enchanted Rag: Cleans Stains instantly
Best Sanctuary Upgrades
- Whispering/Wishing Well: Once a day, gain some Reputation/Coins
- Statue of the Acolyte: Once a day, gain some Reputation and Coins
- Goldstone: Decreases the cost of ingredients in the Bazaar by 5%
- Gnome Home: Generates a random Plant & Mineral each day
- Straw Basket: Restocking is 5 Coins cheaper
- Gardening Patch: Unlock one extra patch to grow Plants

Check The Coven
After gaining 100 Reputation, you’ll be able to access the Coven. This is where the witches spend their time when they are not visiting your shop. Each day, you’ll find two witches in the Coven that you can talk with. Choosing the right dialogue will increase your Relationship with them, unlocking new Wand recipes for you to craft.

On top of that, the Coven also gives you additional milestone quests. Completing them gives you Coins and Reputation as a reward. These quests can range from completing a specific number of deliveries to keeping your shop running for a specific number of days. You’ll be able to complete them naturally as you progress. Just don’t forget to claim them.

At the end of the day, Witchy Business is a cozy game that lets you play at your own pace. When starting the game, you can choose between three difficulty settings to fine-tune your experience. So if you feel like the speed of orders is hard for you to keep up with, feel free to start fresh at a lower difficulty setting to ease into the game.
