In the last part, we took the back exit of the mall to arrive at the Backstreets. The Processing Plant is the next major zone in the game, and the path to it lies just up ahead.

For more information about Tormented Souls 2, check out its Steam page here.

  • Weapons Found: Crowbar, Crossbow, Chainsaw.
  • Noteworthy Puzzles: Freezer Room Decapitated Body, Password Puzzle, Elevator Puzzle, Dining Room Painting Puzzle, Incinerator Valve Puzzle.

How to Get to The Processing Plant

After the cutscene ends, continue heading up the road in the Backstreets. Go up the stairs to the upper section of the area.

The door on the right with the Keep Locked sign leads into a safe zone. Enter the door to reach the Container Office and save your game.

Go back out, check the gazebo up ahead. You’ll find a Newspaper Articles note inside.

Get back to the main section and head up the stairs. You’ll find the door to the Processing Plant at the end of this path.

As you take a few steps forward inside the Lower Wing of the Processing Plant, the door gets barred with a wooden block. Your only way forward is to go through.

How to Get The Metal Bike Parts

The Processing Plant can get extremely confusing. But don’t worry; you’ll get the map for the area soon enough. For now, continue through the door on the right. This’ll take you to the Conference Room.

Note that there’s a projector in the room, but there’s no VHS Tape in it.

Continue forward through the door at the other end of the room to get back out to the Lower Wing. Continue along the corridor, breaking the vases as you go. You’ll spot another note on a stool up ahead.

The end of the corridor has two doors. Open the door on the right to unlock the shortcut back to the entrance of the zone. Then, take the door on the left to enter the Upper Wing.

Make your way through the Upper Wing and go up the wooden staircase. You’ll spot a door to your right at the top of the stairs. This leads to a safe zone called Storeroom. Head inside.

Save your game, but before you leave, check the small room on the other side of the wooden partition.

Take the ladder leading up to enter the Surveillance Room.

You’ll spot a Recording Tape on the bed. Pick it up and continue through the area. You’ll enter a room filled with surveillance monitors. The item Metal Bike Parts is on the steel table at the far end of the room.

Check the bulletin board by the surveillance cameras. You’ll spot the code: 1795. But the paper with the number 9 doesn’t line up with the rest of the numbers. This means that it’s actually 6, and the paper has just fallen off. So the code you’re looking for is 1765. This doesn’t come into play until much later.

How to Get The Processing Plant Map & The Crowbar

Get back to the main corridor of the Upper Wing and continue moving forward. You’ll trigger a short cutscene.

Walk further along the corridor to spot a decapitated man on the floor. There are two doors in opposite directions. Go into the open door on the right first.

You’ll enter a small office. Check the room for some ammo. The Processing Plant Map is on the bulletin board in this area.

Return to the corridor and go through the door on the left this time. This takes you to the Dormitory. There’s a note (Brother Juan’s Diary) on the table that you can pick up. The door on your left leads into the Bathroom, but we’ll check it in a bit.

Go through the large hole to enter another room. You’ll spot dead bodies everywhere. Check the locker for a Povidone.

Return to the first room and go through the door to enter the Bathroom. Joseph will be waiting for you inside. Run through his dialogue.

After the conversation, pick up the Crowbar lodged into the dead person’s neck nearby and check one of the stalls for some Coil Nails.

The Crowbar is the second melee weapon that you unlock in Tormented Souls 2. It lets you break those green crates you saw earlier in the Town and the Processing Plant. Assign it to a shortcut button and get back to the main corridor of the Upper Wing..

Continue along the corridor to spot a password-protected door up ahead. The keypad isn’t powered, and you can inspect the battery cover at the bottom to reveal that there are no Batteries installed. You’ll also find an item called Acid Test Tubes on a bench up ahead. It’s ammo for a weapon that you’ll unlock later.

Make your way to the starting area. You’ll get ambushed by a tanky, four-legged enemy. Take it down.

How to Unlock the Freezer Room Secret Area

Return to the area outside one of the entrances to the Conference Room in the Lower Wing. You’ll spot a stack of green crates on the floor. Use your Crowbar to break them.

There’s an elevator on the other side of the crates. Get on the elevator and interact with the panel to go down to the lower levels. Head through the door up ahead to enter the Basement.

Go through the room and exit through the door on the other side to reach a corridor. The path right leads to locked areas (Reception & Generator Room). So let’s head left first.

Make your way along the corridor. Beware of the open valves on the red pipes. They will blow out hot smoke that damages you if you get hit. Along the way, you’ll get ambushed by another one of the monsters you faced in the Upper Wing.

Continue running forward and light the candelabra. Then take down the monster.

Break the stack of crates and go down the stairs. Go through the door to enter the Freezer Room.

Make your way through the Freezer Room. You’ll spot an open door on the left. If you keep heading forward past the door, you’ll reach a dead end.

You’ll find another page of Brother Juan’s Diary titled “The Mysterious Girl” on the side cabinet. Examine it in your inventory to read it. There’s a phrase here mentioning a hidden switch.

Inspect the framed photograph hanging on the wall. Hover your cursor over the chest of the girl in the picture and click it. This will open a hidden wall at the end of the Freezer Room corridor.

Go out of the room, and follow the corridor (break the crates along the way) to reach another dead end. Interact with the panel on the right. Press the red button to open the last cell.

Go into the cell room and pick up the VHS Tape – Freezer.

Inspect the body on the floor.

Check the bloodied air vent to know that whoever killed the person crawled in through here. Inspect the handle of the closet to know that it’s damaged.

You’re done with the area for now. Exit the Basement and take the elevator back to the Lower Wing.

How to Save the Decapitated Person

Return to the Conference Room and interact with the Projector at the center of the room.

Click on the Eject Button to open the tape cover and use the VHS Tape – Freezer in the tape slot to put it in.

Click the Play Button to turn the projector on. Interact with the projector screen and watch a short cutscene.

You’ll now find yourself transported to the Freezer Room (Past).

Make your way down the corridor and go into the room with the decapitated body in the past. Interact with the closet’s handle and drag it over the air vent.

With that done, return to the container where you started and interact with the projector to get back to the present timeline.

You’ll be ambushed by a monster as soon as you get back to the Conference Room. Defeat it and then make your way back to the jail cell with the decapitated body.

The door will be open this time around. Enter the cell to trigger another cutscene. We won’t spoil it for you.

Once the cutscene ends, interact with the locked door to peek through the eye panel. Use the Nailer on the red switch to unlock the door to the cell.

Before you leave, interact with the red table lamp inside the cell to collect the Light Bulb.

You’ll spot Anna’s Sketchbook on the floor as you take a few steps along the corridor from the jail cell. Exit the Freezer Room to return to the Basement.

How to Get to the Underground Docks

Make your way through the corridor of the Basement and go all the way to the other end. Note the electronically locked door in the middle section of the corridor. You can’t unlock it right now.

You’ll find the door to the Reception at the end of the corridor. Go inside.

Enter through the open door in the Reception and pick up the Acid Test Tubes on the table.

Continue moving forward to spot a switch above a vent. Inspect it to learn that it should work, but something is missing.

Go up the corridor to spot another panel. Inspect it.

Use your Light Bulb on the socket to install it.

Return to the first panel and interact with it to turn on the light bulb installed on the panel.

Break the stack of crates on the right and take the elevator on the other side to head to the lower levels.

Keep following the path and go through the steel door to reach the Underground Docks.

How to Get the Cassette Player

From the entrance to the Underground Docks, continue forward to spot an elevator. Try interacting with the panel, but it won’t work since it isn’t powered.

Head to the end of the steel walkway and interact with the open electrical box.

You need to route the power so that all three lights on the circuit box marked Elevator turn on. While it may seem complicated, the solution is pretty simple. Press the nodes in the following order:

  • Top Middle: 1 Spin
  • Top Right: 3 Spins

With the elevator powered, interact with the panel to bring it up. Then use it to go down to the lower level of the Underground Docks.

Make your way forward along the lower section. As you move along the pier, you’ll be ambushed by some crab-type monsters. They shouldn’t pose much of a threat.

After defeating the enemies, open the gate and go in to find a body on the ground by some candles. You’ll find the Cassette Player right next to him.

Picking up the item spawns another group of crab monsters. Defeat them and get back on the pier.

Before you leave, head towards the stairs nearby. Follow the path forward to spot a shark hung up by chains.

You can inspect the shark and use the Crowbar on its mouth to pry its jaws open. There’s an item inside. But to reach it, you need to pry open the jaw wider.

With that done, you can now exit the Underground Docks.

NOTE: There are a few health and ammo items scattered around the lower section of Underground Docks, but they are not essential for progression.

How to Get to the Dining Room

Make your way toward the password-protected door with the unpowered keypad in the Upper Wing.

Interact with the panel and remove the battery cover.

Next, examine the Cassette Player in your inventory. Flip it over and click on its battery cover to collect Batteries.

Insert the Batteries from your inventory into the battery slot of the keypad to power it.

The code to the keypad is found on the bulletin board in the Surveillance Room, but we already know it. Enter 1765 on the keypad and press the red button to unlock the door. This takes you to the Dining Room. Before you enter, interact with the keypad and click on the Batteries to pick them up. You’ll need it later for another puzzle.

How to Get The Crossbow

The Dining Room is a large area split into two floors and multiple exits.

Go down the stairs to spot another page from Brother Juan’s Diary, “The Painting of a Woman Carrying a Torch” on the couch. Pick it up and read it. This contains a hint for the puzzle involving the four paintings in the area. But we’ll leave it for later.

Head down to the lower level using the stairs on the left. Note the door on the right. Circle your way around the lower level of the Dining Room. You’ll spot a painting of a man holding a hammer near the dining table section of the room.

Don’t enter the middle section through a steel gate in the bottom area for now.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Continue making your way forward to spot a door up ahead. Go through it to enter the Kitchen.

The lower floor of the Kitchen has some Painkillers that you can pick up on the counter. Break the green vase to find a Povidone inside. Once done, use the stairs to go up.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

There’s a body on the ground on the upper floor as you take a few steps forward from the stairs. But as you get close to it, you’ll be ambushed by two monsters. Take them out and inspect the body to find the Crossbow Frame.

Examine it in your inventory and combine the Metal Bike Parts with the top section of the Crossbow Frame to assemble the Crossbow. This is a powerful weapon that uses Acid Test Tubes as ammo to fire high-damage projectiles. But it needs to be reloaded between each shot.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Head to the passage past the stairs on the upper floor of the Kitchen. You’ll spot another page from Brother Juan’s Diary here. Go through the door to unlock a shortcut back to the Upper Wing.

How to Get the Metal Plate Base

Head back to the lower section of the Dining Room and go through the door on the opposite side. This takes you to a previously inaccessible part of the Lower Wing.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Go up and interact with the door to unlock the shortcut. This leads to the corridor outside the Conference Room and the Basement elevator.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Make your way down through the new section to get ambushed by another monster. Take it down.

Continue along the corridor to spot a door at the end. This leads to the Offices.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

You can find some Acid Test Tubes and a page for Mother Lucia’s Diary in this area. But those are optional. The most important thing to find here is the Metal Base Plate. You’ll find it by heading through the door on the right side of the statue.

There’s a dead man with a dagger stabbed in his back. The Metal Base Plate is right next to him on the table.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

As soon as you pick it up, you’ll get ambushed by two monsters. Defeat them and return to the Dining Room.

How to Get the Metal Plate – Eye

Enter the gate in the middle area of the Dining Room. We recommend assigning the Crossbow to a shortcut button at this point.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

As you enter the area, you’ll spot a scuba diving suit on display. Interact with it to pick up the Metal Plate – Eye from its chest.

Directly opposite the suit, you’ll see a statue holding a Manual Jack in its hands. To get this item, you need to solve the four paintings puzzle.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

At this point, a barrier will open on the gate that you came through. The scuba suit will come to life and attack you.

This enemy is extremely tanky and can impale you with its harpoon. The Crossbow is a fantastic weapon for this fight. Keep firing at it until it goes down. The barrier on the gate will disappear once you take down the monster.

How to Solve the Dining Room Painting Puzzle

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

After defeating the monster, it’s time to get your hands on the Manual Jack. To do that, you need to solve a puzzle involving the four paintings in the Dining Room.

Go around the room and find the location of each painting. You need to perform a specific action in front of each painting to turn on the green light above it. Here’s what you have to do for each painting:

Painting NameLocationAction Required
A woman holding an antique lampCentral section down the stairsEquip the Lighter in your hand
A woman aiming a bowUpper section, on the right side. Stand on the circle in front of the painting and spin around a few times (tank controls work better).
A woman aiming a bowUpper section, on the left side.Equip the Crossbow and aim with it.
A man forging in his workshopBottom floor, by the dining table.Equip your Hammer and take a swing.
tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Once you do all the actions (the sequence doesn’t matter), the statue will release the Manual Jack. Go back downstairs and grab it.

How to Get the Metal Plate – Triangle

With the Manual Jack in hand, make your way back to the shark in the Underground Docks area. There will be some new enemies in the corridors, but nothing you can’t handle. Use the Crowbar to pry open the shark’s jaw.

Then use the Manual Jack on the open jaw. Click on the Manual Jack to pry open the jaw even further. Pick up the item inside to collect the Metal Plate – Triangle.

How to Get the Cassette Tape – Confession

Return to the lower floor of the Kitchen accessed via the Dining Hall. You can move the stove as shown in the image above.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Doing so reveals a hole in the floor. Interact with the hole to enter the Decontamination.

A few steps forward, you’ll see three panels in a series. Each of the panels has a symbol over it: an eye, a triangle, and a spiral. This refers to the Metal Plates that you’ve been picking up in the previous areas.

You already have two Metal Plates (Eye and Triangle). Interact with the panels corresponding to the symbols.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Place the matching Metal Plate into the slot on the right.

Press the red button three times to insert the Metal Plate into the panel.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Inserting the Metal Plates activates the lights on a large steel door at the other side of the room. You’ll be able to light up three by now. But you still need the Metal Plate – Spiral to open the door.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Walk along the corridor next to the three panels. You’ll be ambushed by an enemy up ahead. Take it down.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Take the door on the right in the middle of the corridor to enter the safe zone, the Decontamination Office. Save your game, get back out on the corridor, and continue heading forward.

You’ll arrive at a room with four tubes. Interact with the panel at the far end of the room to open the tubes. Check each of them.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

One of these tubes will contain the Cassette Tape – Confession.

How to Get to the Generator Room

Return to the Basement area and head toward the voice-activated lock in the middle section of the corridor.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Interact with the panel.

Open your inventory and examine the Cassette Player. Insert the Batteries. If you forgot to pick them up, they should be in the keypad that you used to unlock the Dining Room door. Press the Eject button on the Cassette Player and place the Cassette Tape – Confession into the slot. Press the Play button.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Listen to the audio tape. When the voice says “The password is…”, click on the red button on the panel. The password will be accepted, both lights will turn green, and the door to the Generator Room will open. Go inside.

How to Get To the Warehouse

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Take a quick look at the map once you enter the Generator Room section. There’s a Radiology Room up ahead.

Head along the corridor and go through the first door on your left to reach the location.

Check the X-Ray hung up on the wall to see something “metallic” stuck inside a monster’s body. This is the other half of the Metal Base Plate you need.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Exit the room and continue forward to reach the Waste Disposal area.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Make your way along the walkway while avoiding getting blasted by the hot steam coming from the pipes. You’ll spot a stretcher inside the incinerator, but it’s empty.

Continue forward into the chamber up ahead. There’s a control panel right in front of you and a wall panel on the right. Inspect both panels, but don’t touch anything for now. We’ll sort it out later.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

There’s also a note on the wall. Take a look at it before you head back out.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

From the walkway, you’ll spot a ladder door leading up on the side. Use it to get to the Warehouse.

How to Get to the Other Side

From the Warehouse, continue heading forward till you reach an open area. There’s a ladder straight ahead and a small set of stairs leading to a control panel on the left.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Head towards the ladder first. As you move forward, an enemy in the area will come to life and attack you. Take it down.

Use the ladder to go down, but you’ll find the path ahead blocked off by some cages.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Get back upstairs and use the panel on the elevated platform.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Use the directional buttons and the Drop button to move the cages around to different parts of the room. Check the image above to figure out where you need to place each cage. It’s important that you position that cage as we did so that you don’t get stuck in a later section.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Once done, head back down the ladder and continue forward through the muck.

You’ll find yourself in front of a mirror. Similar to the Other Side mirror in the Convent, there are candles around that you can light using the Lighter.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

The number written on the mirror is a clue to which mirrors you must light. Think of the candles as digits on a clock. So you’ll have to light the candles in the hour-3, minute-45, and second-20 position. The image above shows you the solution.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Interact with the mirror once you’re done to reach the Warehouse (Other Side)

How to Get the Mutant Toy

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Continue through the muck until you reach the ladder that takes you to the main chamber of the Warehouse (Other Side). The layout is exactly the same as the Warehouse in the real world.

As you keep moving forward, you’ll be ambushed by a mutated monster. This one is tanky, so make sure you use your high-powered weapon, like the Shotgun and Crossbow, to take it down.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

After killing the monster, move forward and pick up the item on the table. This is the Mutant Toy.

How to Get the Metal Plate – Spiral

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Before you leave the Other Side, head around the cages on the right to get on the walkway in the Warehouse (Other Side) area. There’s a door at the end that takes you to the Waste Disposal (Other Side).

Go to the lower section of the area and head straight for the stretcher. Don’t worry about the giant crab on the door. It won’t attack you.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Interact with the stretcher and use the Mutant Toy on it to place it down. With that done, make your way to the Other Side mirror and use it to return to the real world.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Head back to the Waste Disposal area and head toward the small chamber with the control panels. You can see that there’s a monster strapped down on the stretcher this time.

Interact with the panel. The note on the wall said that you need to have all the valves open before you can use the incinerator. Click on the valves in the following order to open all the valves:

Bottom left | Top middle | Bottom middle | Middle left | Middle right | Top right | Top left | Bottom left

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Once all valves are open, interact with the panel on the wall. Click the switches in this order: Close, Burn, Open.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

After the monster dies, go to the stretcher and interact with the ash to collect the Metal Plate – Spiral. You’ll be attacked by two monsters after you pick it up.

Defeat the monsters, then open your inventory and combine the Metal Plate – Spiral with the Metal Base Plate.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Make your way back to the Decontamination area accessed via the Kitchen. Use the panel with the spiral symbol and insert the Metal Plate – Spiral all the way.

Interact with the large steel door on the left to open it. Head through the long corridor and enter through the door at the end to reach the Slaughter Room.

How to Beat the Harvester (Boss Fight)

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Keep moving forward to reach the central part of the room to trigger the fight against the second boss in the game, the Harvester. Similar to the Iron Maider, this fight is about understanding the puzzle and solving it more than brute-forcing your way through.

Once the fight begins, do a quick sweep around the room while avoiding the boss. There’s a Harpoon Cannon in the room, the wall opposite to it has Harpoons pinned to it, and a crank on the other end that primes the Harpoon Cannon. There’s also a control panel that lets you fire the Cannon.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

But the boss is extremely fast, and you won’t be able to prime the Cannon even if you manage to load it up with a Harpoon. So the first step is to weaken it. Use your main weapon to keep firing at the boss till it gets on its knees.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

When you start to see electricity surging from the boss’s body, this is your cue to get to work. Pick up a Harpoon from the wall and load up the Cannon with it. Then quickly run to the crank to prime the Harpoon.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

When the boss is in the center part of the room, fire the Harpoon using the control panel.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

You have to repeat the same steps another time to defeat the boss. The boss will drop an item when it dies. Pick it up after the cutscene to collect the Circular Saw Blade.

How to Get the Chainsaw

After defeating the Harvester, head through the area with hanging plastic body bags to find a trapdoor. Interact with it to go to the Reception area.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

You’ll spot an item glittering in the darkness. Pick it up to collect the Chainsaw.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Examine it in your inventory. Combine the Circular Saw Blade with it to create a rusty Chainsaw. Not only is it a fantastic weapon, but it also lets you break the block of wood that was blocking your exit from the Processing Plant.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Head up the stairs and interact with the gate to open it. This connects this section to the rest of the Reception area.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Return to the entrance of the Processing Plant and interact with the main door. Use the Chainsaw to cut open the piece of wood and exit the building.
