For more information about Tormented Souls 2, check out its Steam page here.

Key Takeaways:

  • Estimated Playtime: 1.5 – 2 hours, depending on puzzle familiarity.
  • Important Key Items: Xylophone, 7A Fuse, Computer Lab Key, Four Figurines, Pig Mask
  • Weapons Found: Recoil Spring ( Hand Cannon upgrade)
  • Noteworthy Puzzles: Beethoven Statue puzzle, Dead Teacher’s Hand puzzle, Classroom 202 puzzle, Science Lab puzzle.
  • Boss Fights: Pig Face

How to Get to the School

After completing the Cemetery zone and picking up the Sledgehammer, make your way back to the Commercial District of the Town. You’ll have to travel through the Backstreet and the Mall to reach the location.

Once back at the main streets of the Commercial District, you’ll want to head into the Butcher Shop, as hinted by Joseph.

Head to the Butcher Shop Cellar, defeat the pig monster, and then head to the end of the room, past the man pinned to the wall, to spot a red-bricked wall. Break the wall using your Sledgehammer.

Take the ladder on the other side of the wall to reach the Sewer.

Head along the passage to get ambushed by a ghost. Defeat it and continue up ahead. The path across the wooden bridge leads to a locked gate. So take the stairs to the right.

Up ahead, you’ll have to fight another ghost. Keep moving forward along the tunnel, inspecting the radio equipment in the corners as you go. You’ll find some Ammo, Healing Items, and Notes as you progress.

You’ll find a door at the end of the tunnel. This takes you to the Sewer Maintenance.

This will trigger a long cutscene. Things happen, and once it ends, you find yourself in a lab of sorts. Explore the area once the cutscene ends to pick up some health items and ammo. None of these items is necessary for progression.

Take the door through the open security gate to return to the Sewer.

Move along the passage and you’ll spot a path heading left. If you keep moving straight, you’ll be able to unlock a shortcut to the wooden bridge you saw earlier. Unlock the shortcut, then return to the fork and take the other path.

Go up the ladder ahead to arrive at the School District. There will be a ghost just before the ladder.

Coming out of the sewer, you can either go forward, around the bus, or down towards the car with unused tires on top of it. Head down to unlock a shortcut back to the Commercial District of Town first.

Go through the steel door up ahead to enter the Train Station.

Keep moving along the path to spot Joseph stuck inside a wall. There’s a ritual symbol on the ground in front of him and a human skeleton in the center. As you move past the section, Joseph will get pulled into the wall.

Keep moving forward along the platform, and as you get to the lower part, bring out your Metal Detector. Scan the ground, following the beeping sound, to find some Powder & Shot, the ammo required for the Hand Cannon.

Get on the platform on the other side and head toward the train station. Interact with the door inside to unlock a shortcut back to the Commercial District.

NOTE: You can enter the train from the right-side platform to access a safe zone to save your game.

With that done, return to the Sewer entrance point and take the path around the bus. Go across the wooden bridge to reach a fork in the road.

The School entrance is up ahead, but we recommend exploring the path on the left for some more health items, ammo, a note, and the Cassette Tape – Session 47 (optional).

When you’re done, head towards the entrance to the School and enter through the door to reach the Lobby.

How to Get the School Map

Similar to the Processing Plant, once you take a few steps forward, the main door to the School gets blocked by an enchanted barrier. So you have to clear the entire zone before you can go back.

From the Lobby, go straight ahead. The door up ahead is blocked, but there’s a room with an open door on the left.

Head inside and you’ll find the School Map on the fax machine in the middle of the room. Pick it up.

Take a good look at the map. The School is a large area divided into many smaller sections. You’ll want to check your map every few minutes to track your location.

Return to the main door in the Lobby and take the stairs on the left. You’ll see a double door straight ahead and another one on your left.

Go through the double door to enter the Break Room. This is a safe zone. Save your game and loot the area for some items.

When you’re ready, head back outside and take the side door to enter the Director’s Office. There’s a door on the other side of the room, but it requires a key that we’ll unlock later on. With that done, return to the main section of the Lobby.

How to Get the Music Sheet

From the Lobby, go up the stairs on the right and head through the door. This brings you to the School Library.

There are some green vases here that you can break, but not much else. Make your way to the other side of the room and exit through the door to reach East Corridor B. Note the two creepy dolls sitting on the tables near the door. The next time we make our way through this area, they’ll turn into monsters.

Walk along the corridor till you get to the central point. There’s a bust in the middle of the room. Inspect it. It’s the sculpture of Beethoven using a hearing device.

From here, head into the Art and Music Room that’s just up ahead. Check your map to see which room you’re going into.

In the middle of the room, you’ll spot a VHS Player and a projector screen on the stage. You’ll also spot three more of those creepy dolls sitting on the stage.

Get on the stage and inspect the lyric stand by the acoustic guitar to find the Music Sheet.

Before you leave the room, take a look at the bulletin board behind the table. This shows the musical notes on the Xylophone. This is important, and we recommend taking a picture of this page. Return to East Corridor B when you’re done.

How to Get the Xylophone

Next, we’re going to head into the Kindergarten, which is located through the corridor past the Arts and Music Room.

You’ll see more of those creepy dolls here.

On one of the children’s tables, you’ll find the Xylophone. Pick it up. You’ll also find a page for Isabella’s Diary in this room.

As soon as you pick up the note, the dolls in the room will start to come to life and attack you. They’re not very tough; take them down.

The door on the other side of the Kindergarten leads to the Playground, but you can’t access it from this location.

How to Find The Metal Spoon

Return to the Beethoven Sculpture in the East Corridor B and go past it. You’ll spot an unpowered elevator on the left and a door just past it on the right. Go through the door to get to the West Corridor 1F.

Take a few steps forward to spot a door on the right. This leads to the Generator Room.

Head inside the room and take a look around. You’ll find some Gasoline on a tray and a Fuse Box on the wall. It has slots for three Fuses.

Return to the West Corridor 1F and past the Generator Room door. Go through the door on your right to reach the Schoolyard.

Check the tray on the table under the upside-down hanging body. You’ll find the Metal Spoon. Break the crates in the area for some useful items. The door on the other end of the Schoolyard is locked from the other side. Return to the West Corridor 1F.

How to Get the 7A Fuse (First)

Return to the Beethoven Statue in East Corridor B.

Examine the Music Sheet in your inventory. On the other side of the paper, you’ll see the writing “FACE DEAD.” This isn’t some ominous message. It refers to the notes you have to play on the Xylophone to solve a puzzle.

Stand in front of the hearing device of the Beethoven Statue, and examine the Xylophone in your inventory. Use the Metal Spoon to click on the following notes in this exact sequence:

Purple | Yellow | Green | Sky Blue | Red | Sky Blue | Yellow | Red

This will open a hidden compartment under the statue. Pick up the item to collect the 7A Fuse.

How to Get the Apple Seeds

Head to the door of the Generator Room and walk down the passage opposite it. Enter the first door that comes up on your right.

You’ll reach Classroom 103. You’ll see a short cutscene of someone killing themself. Once it ends, head left to spot a corpse sitting on the table.

Interact with the table. Pick up the item on the table to collect the Apple Seeds. Check the hand of the person. You need to put something in the dead teacher’s hand.

How to Get the Computer Lab Key

Head back to the Generator Room next. Interact with the Fuse Box and place the 7A Fuse into the slot marked Elevator. This will turn the elevator on near the Beethoven Statue.

Go to the East Corridor B and click the elevator panel to enter the Elevator.

Interact with the panel inside the Elevator and choose 2 to reach the Schoolyard on the upper level.

You can spot a security gate at the other end of the corridor on the right. But it’s locked from the other side. Head through the door on the left to enter the Science Lab.

As you walk through the room, you’ll spot a mannequin on the left. When you walk past it, the mannequin will come alive and attack you. These enemies can be extremely deadly if they get up close. So take it down as soon as you can using your Shotgun.

After defeating the monster, check the tables in the room. You’ll spot a box with four hexagon slots on it. This is a puzzle that you’ll have to solve later on.

Leave it for now, and continue making your way through the room. Note the writing on the chalkboard, “The Strong Will Devour the Weak.”

Exit the Science Lab through the door at the end.

This takes you to the upper level of the Lobby. Head toward the Textiles Classroom on the other side of the balcony. Note that there’s a door in the middle section of the balcony.

As you take a few steps inside, a barrier appears on the door. The Textiles Classroom is filled with creepy dolls, but none of them are moving at the moment.

Head to the end of the room. Inspect the dress in front of the chalkboard to pick up the Computer Lab Key.

Picking up the key brings some of the dolls in the room to life. Take them down to destroy the barrier on the door.

With the key picked up, head out of the Textiles Classroom. Take the door in the middle of the Lobby balcony to reach the Schoolyard balcony.

Check your map to see that there are two Classrooms just ahead along the corridor (Classroom 203 and Classroom 204). These two areas don’t have any puzzles, but take a quick peek inside to loot up the items.

Move along the balcony to find a security gate past the last classroom. You can’t open it without diverting power to the second floor of the School.

Head back towards the exit and unlock the security gate on the left to loop back to the Elevator.

How to Get to the Basement

Enter the Elevator and go to the Basement level by selecting the B button on the panel. Head up the corridor of the basement, up the stairs on the left of the puddle to reach the Computer Lab door.

Use the Computer Lab Key to open the door and head inside.

Make your way through the lab. You’ll get ambushed by an enemy along the way. Defeat it and continue forward till you spot a gate heading up.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Head in the opposite direction from the gate. You’ll spot a cabinet on the left with the same weird keyhole that you saw on the door in the Director’s Office. Make a mental note of this spot.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Return to the gate and head through the door at the end of the passage to reach the Janitor’s Room.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

As you enter the room, you’ll see a short cutscene of a creepy hand emerging from the TV. For a split second, you’ll also see the enchanted barrier on the main door of the School on the TV screen.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Note the steel gate on your left. This leads to a long corridor at the end of which you’ll find a door that takes you back to the Lobby. We recommend unlocking it right now. You’ll have to fight a few monsters along the way.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Interact with the TV Hand to see that you can put something in its hand. But you don’t have the right item. Take the wooden door at the other side of the room to enter the Basement.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Defeat the monsters that come rushing at you as you enter the room.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Keep moving forward to spot a double door at the end. This leads to the lower level of East Corridor A.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Head up the stairs to spot a door blocked with two wooden beams.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Interact with the door and use your Crowbar to remove the beams. This door leads back to the Playground. Don’t go in yet.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Instead, head along the corridor on the right to trigger a cutscene. This is your first meeting with Isabella in the game.

How to Find the VHS Tape – Playground

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Once the cutscene ends, head along the corridor. Beware of the falling trap! You’ll see the path ahead blocked off by an electronically locked security door.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Return to the door you unlocked earlier using the Crowbar and head through. This’ll take you to the Playground. You’ll see a couple of pig monsters roaming the area. Take them down.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

You’ll spot a flower tub on a stretcher on your left along the main path. Inspect it. Note that the soil is too dry for you to plant anything. Also, there’s a leaky faucet right next to the stretcher.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Run to the other side of the Playground (past the swings) and interact with the door to unlock the door to the Kindergarten.

Run all the way back to the Generator Room. You’ll have to fight some monsters along the way. Take the 7A Fuse out of the Elevator slot and put it into the 1st Floor slot. Return to East Corridor A and head through the security gate to reach the West Corridor 1F.

From here, head left along the corridor and enter the first classroom on your left. This is Classroom 104.

You’ll see a man wearing a Pig Mask sitting at the front bench of the empty classroom.

As you get close to him, you get briefly transported to the Other Side. But you return shortly after without doing anything. The man also disappears.

Run up to the TV and pick up the item under it to collect the VHS Tape – Playground.

How to Get the 7A Fuse (Second)

Exit the Classroom 104 and keep walking along the corridor. The large double door on your left unlocks the shortcut to the Schoolyard. Don’t go in yet.

Instead, continue along the corridor towards the door at the end. The door leads to Classroom 102, but the door is locked. Deal with the monster that attacks you and keep moving along the corridor to the left.

Enter the first door on your right that comes up. This takes you to the safe zone, Storage Room 102.

Save your game and walk up the wooden stairs to spot a door on the right. You can enter Classroom 102 through this door.

First things first, take down the monsters inside the classroom.

Then unlock the door on the other end of the room so that you can enter through the main door of Classroom 102 later on.

Head toward the chalkboard and inspect the filing cabinet with lit candles on top of it.

You’ll see the name Helena at the top and four dials with different symbols. This is a combination lock puzzle that you’ll have to solve.

Return to West Corridor 1F and continue moving forward, past the door to Storage Room 102. Go inside the last classroom in the corridor to enter Classroom 101.

Walk towards the teacher’s table and pick up the note. This is Helena’s Note. It holds the clue to solving the combination lock that you saw in Classroom 102.

Return to the Classroom 102 and rotate the dials to set them up in this sequence, from left to right:

Book | Straight Edge | Compass | Pencil Sharpener

This unlocks the cabinet, and you’ll find the second 7A Fuse inside the drawer. Pick it up.

With that done, make your way back to the Generator Room (through the Schoolyard shortcut) and use the two 7A Fuses on the slots Elevator and 2nd Floor. This will make backtracking easier later.

How to Get the Snake Figurine

Return to the Arts and Music Room. Defeat the monsters, then interact with the VHS Player.

Insert the VHS Tape – Playground into the slot and click the Play button.

Interact the the projector screen on the stage to get transported to the Playground (Past).

Walk along the path and interact with the flower tub on the stretcher.

Use the Apple Seeds from your inventory on the soil of the tub.

Then head to the other side of the stretcher and interact with it. Pull it under the leaky faucet so that the water drips into the soil.

Interact with the projector to return to the present time. Make your way back to the Playground to see that the seed has blossomed into an apple tree. Interact with it and then click on the Apple to pick it up.

Return to Classroom 103 and interact with the Dead Teacher on the desk. Put the Apple on their hand and watch them disappear.

A drawer will open. Pick up the item inside to collect the Snake Figurine. This is the first of the four hexagonal pieces you need for the puzzle in the Science Lab.

How to Get the Insecticide

Take the Elevator and go up to the second floor of the Schoolyard. Now that you’ve inserted the 7A Fuse for the 2nd Floor, you can open the security gate on the corridor past Classroom 204. We’ve marked the location of the security gate in the image above. Note the two Classrooms on the upper part and the Girls’ Restroom below.

Unlock the security gate and head toward Classroom 202. There will be two mannequin monsters patrolling the corridor. Take them down to make things easier.

Classroom 202‘s door is blocked shut by two wooden beams. Use the Crowbar to break it open and head inside.

Walk to the teacher’s desk. You’ll see that there’s a drawing of a rabbit on the chalkboard.

Check the large cage on the table. The dials are jammed and can’t be moved.

There’s a framed picture next to the chalkboard. Inspect it to see a drawing. Note the symbols. You’ll need it later.

Exit the classroom and continue along the corridor. The second door to your right is locked. Continue along the corridor and go into the last classroom to reach Classroom 201.

You’ll find a page (The Pig Mask) for School Janitor Joab’s Diary on the teacher’s desk. Take the door behind the desk to enter the Storage Room 201.

Inspect the cabinet right next to the door to find the Insecticide.

How to Get the Bird Figurine

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Return to the Schoolyard balcony on the upper floor and head towards the Girls’ Restroom. You’ll find a page for Isabella’s Diary on a bench by the sinks. Enter through the door to go into the restroom.

On the first cube on your right, you’ll spot a cage on the toilet bowl. Inspect it to see that there’s a piece of the hexagonal piece inside it. But you can’t reach it.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Walk further in and you’ll see some weird markings on the three mirrors above the sinks. You’ll get ambushed by some crab monsters at this point. Take them down.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Once they’ve been dealt with, check the area directly opposite the mirrors. You’ll spot an Other Side mirror here. But to use it, you must first light the correct candles.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

The solution is in symbols on the three mirrors. Add the symbols in the first two mirrors and remove the symbols in the third mirror. Light the candles that remain on the Other Side Mirror to activate it. Check the image above to know which mirrors to light. Interact with the mirror to reach the Girls’ Restroom (Other Side).

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Check the toilet cube where you saw the cage. You’ll see that it’s infested with flies. You need to get rid of it.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Head along the corridor and go straight into Classroom 202. The Other Side version of School is filled with difficult enemies. But you can outrun them if you know where you’re going.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Kill the mannequin enemy inside Classroom 202 and go up to the teacher’s desk. Note that the drawing of the rabbit on the chalkboard has turned into a snail. This is your clue that the symbols you saw in the real world are flipped in the Other Side version of Classroom 202.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Interact with the panel. You can now use the buttons at the top and bottom to rotate the dials. Remember the symbols you saw on the framed picture? You’ll have to set the dials up to show the opposite of those symbols.

The solution to this puzzle is: Grenade | Fire | Male Symbol | Sun | Happy Face

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

You’ll hear a clicking sound. Click on the handle to open the safe. You’ll only see a dead bird inside. When you return to the real-world version of Classroom 202, you will find the Bird Figurine in this safe.

How to Get the Toad Figurine

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Exit Classroom 202 and loop around the balcony to reach the door of Classroom 203. You can’t use the Map when you’re on the other side, but the layout is the same as the real world. So you shouldn’t have too much trouble figuring out its location.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Interact with the body on the stretcher to pick up the Toad Figurine.

How to Get the Insecticide Sprayer (Empty)

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Pick up the item inside the drawer to collect the Master Key.

How to Get to the Hidden Room

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

With the Master Key in your hand, head back to the Director’s Office. You’ll find Isabella already inside. Talk to her and run through her dialogue.

After the cutscene, inspect the writing on the chalkboard.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Next, examine the Master Key in your inventory. You’ll note that there are three dials on the Master Key that you can rotate to switch to different symbols. To unlock the door in the Director’s Office, you need to match the symbols on the chalkboard with relevant symbols on the Master Key.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

The correct combination for the Master Key to unlock the door in the Director’s Office is: Female Symbol | Cross | Moon. After setting up the correct combination, use the key to unlock the door and head into the Archives.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

From this point, the path is linear. Go down the stairs and continue heading up the path. You’ll eventually find yourself in front of a large set of doors. Go inside to reach the Hidden Room, an unmapped room in the School.

How to Beat the Pig Face

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

The Pig Face fight is pretty easy and depends on how well you position yourself around the boss arena. The fight takes place in a large arena. You’ll spot three generators with an electric barrier in front of them.

Keep shooting the boss until he goes down. When he recovers, he’ll charge at you without stopping. You have to position yourself in front of one of these generators and get out of the way as the boss charges in so that he slams into the generator.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Repeat this process three times to defeat the boss. He will drop his Pig Mask before he fades away. Pick it up.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

Make your way back out of the Archives and into the Director’s Office to trigger another cutscene.

tormented souls 2 walkthrough

When the cutscene ends, head to the Basement area and enter the Computer Lab. There’s another Master Key lock here that you can unlock.
