On The Other Side
As Chapter 4 begins, you’ll play a short scene as Joshua and the Sky Pirates in Nebel Valley. Here, you’ll have to find the Ignition Key for Bobcat, the Sky Pirates’ Airliner.
Follow the quest marker inside the building, and you’ll enter a room. There are a few soldiers here. Defeat them, and you’ll obtain the key. The next stop is to find Bobcat.

You’ll have to make your way up in the building. There are plenty of chests in the area, so make sure you explore thoroughly. Once you reach the top, you’ll find the Bobcat here. However, some soldiers will come and attack you.
Defeat them quickly. You’ll have to battle against Major Vander immediately after. You can only use Joshua and Jossette in this battle. After you’ve defeated Major Vander, the Bobcat will take off, and you’ll return to Estelle.

A Malevolent Mist
As you board the airliner with Estelle, talk with everyone in your party before returning to Estelle’s seat. The Airliner is originally heading to the Bose region, but due to some anomalies, it has to stop in Rolent.
When Estelle and the rest land in Rolent, they discover that the entire city is covered in a thick, unnatural fog.

The party will then report at the guild. After that, you have to investigate the fog-affected areas. First, go through Rolent’s southern exit on Elize Highway. It’s a short walk, and you won’t find many monsters here. Once the party has estimated the fog-affected area on the highway, you can take the path leading west on the Elize Highway to reach Estelle’s house.
After a brief respite at the Bright House, you’ll have to return to Rolent and continue on the other paths leading to other marked locations.

Head to Milch Main Road next. It can be accessed by going west from Rolent. Once you’ve reached the marked location, return to Rolent.
For the final investigation point, you’ll have to access the tiny exit near the shop in west Rolent. The path will lead you to Malga Trail.

Malga Trail is full of enemies, and the path is fairly long as well. After returning to the marked investigation point, you’ll have to return to Rolent.
As you return after investigating the final location, Estelle’s party will hear a strange bell sound. They’ll then report to the guild.

Victims Of The Fog
As you report to the guild about the affected areas from the fog, a report will come in that certain people have been falling unconscious. There are a total of four cases in Rolent.
You’ll have to go to the victims and talk to their attendants about how the victims fell unconscious to compare their testimonies later on.

Once you’ve investigated all four cases, return to Aina at the guild branch. Here, you’ll have to pick a statement that all four testimonies had in common. The correct answer here is the lack of witnesses.
One of the testimonies mentioned a woman in black. When Scherazard asks where the woman was seen, you’ll have to select the option that says Mr. Lao passed out.

After the cutscenes, Estelle and the girls will stay at the house, while the boys stand patrol in the city for the night. Estelle will wake up in the middle of the night. Here, you’ll have to go downstairs and talk with Scherazard to progress.
In the morning, after several cutscenes, when you’ve finally reported to the guild, Aina will ask you to go to the Perzel Farm.

The farm can be reached by going through Milch Main Road. When you reach the area, you’ll find strange fog monsters here.
Defeat them quickly, but be wary as these enemies can inflict several status effects. When you get inside the farm after defeating the enemies, you’ll realize that Estelle’s party was a little late. The entire family here lays unconcsious. Kevin will appear here to stand guard over the family while you can return to the guild to report.

Mistvald
The party will decide to head to Mistvald to locate the source of the mysterious bell sounds. Mistvald can be reached from Elize Highway. Be wary, as the fog has thickened and the path is now full of enemies. You’ll have to use the mini-map to navigate the area with ease.
As you arrive in the area, you’ll find yourself in a labyrinth of fog. Each section here has multiple pathways. If you take the wrong path, you’ll return to the initial location.

There’s the ringing of bells that you can hear. It’s not there to guide you. Scherazard gives you another hint about the flowers on the sides of the paths with butterflies on them, and you have to look for exactly that to pick the right path.
Look for these flowers that have blue butterflies on them, and take that path to progress deeper.

Keep in mind that escaping the barrier by yourself will grant you 3 BP, but if you repeatedly lose your way, you’ll also exit the labyrinth on your own but miss out on the extra BP.
After exiting the Labyrinth, you’ll have to heal. Make sure you save the game here because there’s a battle ahead.

Fog Monsters
As you escape the fog labyrinth and progress, you’ll have to battle against two fog monsters. One of them is called Jubokko, while the other is Zaqqum. Zaqqum wears a red mask, while Jubokko wears a purple one.
There will be several smaller fog enemies in the area as well. These enemies can inflict confusion and sleep.

Zaqqum only takes damage from Crafts, while Jubboko can only be damaged with Arts. You’ll have to strategize properly.
Since you can only use Arts against Jubboko, it will not take damage from Burst, Chain, or Follow Up attacks. At the start of the battle, you’ll have to use area-wide attacks to get rid of the smaller enemies.

Focus on one type of enemy at once. Zaqqum may also trap one of your party members in a purple orb. They will be unable to battle as long as they’re being held.
It can still attack you without letting go. You’ll have to deal enough damage to it to free your party member.

The Past
After you’ve defeated Jubokko and Zaqqum, Estelle will be put under an illusion where she returns to her childhood home.
Once the cutscenes are over, you’ll have to enter the house and interact with the room upstairs. It will be locked.

Talk to Cassius Bright downstairs, and he’ll ask you to look for Estelle’s mom because she might have the key for the room. You can find her outdoors.
Return to the room after getting the key. You’ll find Joshua’s Harmonica in a chest. Press and hold the corresponding button to play the harmonica in the room.

After that, you have to go to the balcony to play the harmonica. Once you’ve done that, this will trigger a few cutscenes that will lead to Estelle waking up from the illusion.

After Estelle wakes up, Luciola will reveal herself as the Enforcer. She’ll shortly leave. The fog will automatically dissipate after your efforts, and the affected people will start waking up.
Estelle, Scherazard, and the rest will return to the Guild branch and will be rewarded accordingly. You can then save the game and proceed to the next chapter.
