To Bose
Board the airliner when you’re ready. Talk to your allies and take the seat once you’re done to prepare for landing.
As you arrive in Bose, Estelle’s party will head straight to the Guild branch. Here, the receptionist will ask you to handle three requests, since nothing much is going on right now. You’ll have to defeat three groups of monsters on Krone Pass, Amberl Tower, and Nebel Valley.

Amberl Tower Monsters
Exit Bose from the south and you’ll arrive on the New Ansel Path. Keep following the green Guild quest marker to reach Amberl Tower.
Amberl Tower’s upper floors are like a maze. If you can’t seem to find a path from the middle, don’t forget to check out the sides.

You’ll find a group of Octabone at the top of the tower. Fight against them. These Octabone are slightly weaker to fire. However, they’ll behave a little strangely, often attacking each other.
Once you’ve defeated them, return to Bose and set out for the next destination. You can fast travel to Bose to make things faster.

Krone Pass Monsters
Exit Bose from the west. You’ll arrive on West Bose Hwy. Keep going on the path to reach Krone Trail.
You’ll find the group of monsters with a green guild icon on them. You’ll have to go down with the help of a ladder to reach these monsters.

Here, you’ll encounter two Blade Fangs. These enemies are confused and will be attacking each other, similar to the previous group of monsters at Amberl Tower.
These enemies are weak to wind. If you deal fatal damage to them for the first time, they’ll survive with 1 HP, regardless of the situation. Deal damage to them once again to finish them off.

Nebel Valley Monsters
Exit Bose from the east. You’ll arrive on East Bose Hwy. Keep going straight on the pathway. There’s a path to your left on East Bose Hwy that will lead you to Hakan Gate, but you don’t have to go there. Keep going straight until you reach Nebel Valley.
Nebel Valley is filled with strong enemies. You’ll have to be careful. Follow the green guild quest icon to reach the group of monsters. However, you may also find a hut in the valley. You can interact with the bed in the hut to heal yourself.

Once you reach the location, you’ll find three large tree monsters called Ghost Epitaphs in the way. Fight them and defeat them to progress with the main story.
These monsters are weak to wind and won’t attack you as frequently, often attacking each other. Once you’ve defeated them, you’ll have to answer what was similar in the three groups of monsters. The answer here is that all of them were agitated.

Dragon Attack
Return to Lugran at the Guild branch in Bose. There will be some disturbance. When the party leaves the branch to check out what’s going on, they’ll find the ancient dragon and Leowe.
Agate will chase Leowe. However, Estelle and the rest have to help the affected civilians. You’ll have to make a choice to rush the rescue or to make a plan first. Choose the option to make a plan.

Once the rescue is done, Lugran will receive a call from Ravennue regarding the Ancient Dragon and Agate. The party decides to leave right away.
Ravennue Village can be reached by going through West Bose Hwy. Keep going straight on the path until you find another path going to your right.

After arriving in the village, talk to Village Chief Reisen, and he’ll tell you that the dragon has taken hold in the mountain mines and Agate has followed them.
Go north in the village. Keep following the main quest marker. You’ll soon reach the mine entrance.

The mines are quite small. Keep following the red quest icon, and you’ll eventually reach Agate. Several cutscenes follow.
After the cutscenes, you’ll find yourself in the Elder’s Residence in Ravennue Village. Exit the residence and head into Crosner’s home, right next to the Elder’s building.

Dragon Hunting
After a few more cutscenes, you’ll arrive in the Guild branch in Bose. From here, you have to go to the International Landing Port. Here, you’ll find the Arseille.
Morgan will explain his plans for subduing the dragon. After the cutscene, Estelle will have to talk to her allies on the ship.

Once you’ve talked to everyone, return to the Cafeteria and take a seat. The following cutscenes are a treat. Once the ship lands on the lake, you’ll have to go out on the deck to see the results yourself.
There are some more cutscenes here. After that, you’ll return to Bose. The plan is to head to Nebel Valley and locate the dragon.

In the Valley, follow the quest marker to the isolated hut in the valley. Here, you’ll find Whemler. He’ll agree to help you.
After talking to him at the hut, follow the quest marker in the valley to find a path that leads to where the dragon is.

Make your way through the rocky mountains ahead to reach the dragon. The path here is like a maze, so you’ll have to follow the quest marker on the map.
Just before the boss arena, you’ll find a healing crystal. That’s your cue to prepare for what’s ahead.

Ancient Dragon Ragnard
As the battle begins against Ragnard, you’ll have to watch your positioning. Ragnard can blow you away to some distance, allowing some healing and support Arts to miss.
Ragnard also isn’t weak to any specific element. The boss uses single-hit attacks mostly and is quite slow, giving you ample time to cast Earth Wall.

After losing half of its HP, it will release a gigantic blast that covers the entire arena. Make sure you’ve got a shield or invulnerability on your team before hitting the 50% HP mark.
If you can survive that attack, the rest of the battle is quite straightforward. You have to keep doing what you were doing in the first half of the battle to come out victorious. You’ll also be able to end the chapter after the following cutscenes.
