Trails In The Sky: 2nd Chapter – Walkthrough Final Chapter

Trails In The Sky: 2nd Chapter Walkthrough

Trails In The Sky: 2nd Chapter tells the story of Estelle Bright, a Senior Bracer. After the evil Society called Ouroboros managed to summon Aureole, there was an Orbal Shutdown in all of Liberl, completely rendering all Orbal Technology useless. However, with the help of Professor Russel, Arseille takes flight and is now heading to the floating city.

For more information about the game, please visit its official Steam page here.

Aureole

After crashing on Aureole, you’ll have to head out of Arsielle. Follow the quest marker to head deeper into the floating city.

You’ll find an elevator shortly ahead. The elevator will take you to a Halo Rail station. For now, you can only activate the Halo Rail. You can also use these stations to buy advanced Quartz. Activate the Halo Rail and then return to the terminal. Select the option to unlock the nearby gates.

Go down in the elevator again. The nearby gate that was previously locked will be accessible now. You’ll then enter the Liber Ark Underground Tunnel 1 area.

You’ll find a locked gate here. Ignore it for now and keep exploring. You’ll have to find a path leading to the quest marker. After you get there, you’ll have to fight against some monsters.

Josette

You’ll then surface in the Residential District. Follow the quest marker, and you’ll find Josette. She’s alone and in trouble. You’ll have to help her out.

After you’ve defeated the nearby enemies, Josette will tell you that the other Sky Pirates were taken hostage. She’ll also become playable after that.

The Gospel

Next, you’ll have to enter the nearby Cradle Hall. Follow the quest marker to reach it. There’s a device at the back of the hall. Interact with it, and it will ask you several questions.

The answer to the question lies in the Data Crystals that you’ve acquired during your run at the Tetracyclic Towers in another dimension. You can head back to Arseille and enter the Orbal Factory to interact with Professor Russel’s decryption device to get the hints.

However, to solve the puzzle, you’ll need Kloe in your party. The Data Crystals mention someone in the past named Celeste D. Auslese. Select Kloe as the one operating the terminal.

In the second menu, select Celeste. Select D. in the third menu. Lastly, you’ll have to select Auslese in the final menu. You’ll then obtain the genuine Gospel.

Exit the Cradle Hall and explore the Residential District. There’s an elevator here. Take the elevator, and you’ll arrive at the Cradle Station.

Activate the Halo Rail to Cradle Station. This will allow you to travel between stations quickly. Next, you have to close the Cradle Station menu and stand close to it. You’ll get the option to use the Gospel on the station.

Using the Gospel will unlock the nearby gate. Take the elevator down and enter the tunnel through the unlocked gate.

Follow the quest marker in the underground tunnel. When you reach it, you’ll have to face a group of enemies.

Industrial District

Once you come out of the underground tunnel, you’ll find yourself in the Industrial District. Glorious, Society’s airliner, is parked here.

You’ll need to have Josette in your party to progress through this part.

Glorious

Once Josette is in your party, you can enter Glorious. You’ll have to fight against several Enhanced Jaegers and Archaism before you can get in.

As you enter Glorious, you’ll have to find a way that leads to the lower level. You’ll find Josette’s brother and others here. However, they’re locked behind a gate.

Head back to the entrance. There will be an elevator here that takes you to Stern 1st Level. Find your way to the rooftop from here.

Once you’re on the roof, you’ll be attacked by a group of enemies. You’ll have to fight against these three Pale Apache Archaisms. If you defeat them, a Spindoll will emerge from them. You’ll have to fight against these enemies as well.

Arseille Defense Squad

While Estelle’s squad has just defeated the enemies on the Glorious, the scene shifts back to Arseille. Here, Captain Schwartz Julia and Major Vander have to lead another team. Make sure you check their equipment and Quartz before setting out of Arseille.

You’ll have to fight against two waves of enemies that have been trying to attack Arseille. It shouldn’t be much trouble considering Julia is super strong.

The Security Card

After your allies manage to hold the monsters back, the story will switch to Estelle. Go through the hall and reach the elevator on the other end.

You’ll have to use the elevator to reach Bow 2nd Level. Once you do that, you’ll have to look for the Security Card. The security card is in a chest inside the rooms.

Make your way back to the cell holding the Sky Pirates. You’ll encounter Gilbert on the way. However, he has a very powerful Archiasm called Riot Arms on his side.

Defeat Gilbert first and then focus on Riot Arms. After defeating them both, continue towards your destination.

Once you reach the cell area, you can open the cells using the security card and free Josette’s brother and the others.

However, opening cell No. 1 will advance the story. Make sure you’ve done everything in the area before opening the cell.

Liber Ark Underground Tunnel Raid

After Estelle frees the sky pirates in Glorious, the scene will shift to Julia and Major Vander. They’ll be trying to locate the source of the waves and get rid of the Archiasm that have been periodically attacking Arseille.

There are a ton of enemies here that can help you level up. Make your way towards the marked location to progress.

Once you reach the marked location, you’ll find a black centaur archiasm here. There are also some smaller enemies that look like horses called Mirror Flagger. These enemies inflict several buffs on every enemy in the room once they’re defeated.

One of the enemies also repeatedly casts Reflect, so you’ll have to use Anti-Sept All to remove the buffs, or use crafts that can do the same. The story will switch back to Estelle once you’ve defeated these enemies.

ORPHEUS

Go to the Bobcat and talk to Kyle, Josette’s brother. He’ll tell you that he overheard someone saying ORPHEUS. This is a password.

Head to the elevator in the Industrial District to reach the Factory Station. Use the Gospel at the station, and you’ll be prompted for the password; you’ll have to input ORPHEUS.

Go down the elevator, and a nearby gate will be unlocked. Pass through the gate, and you’ll arrive in Liber Ark Underground Tunnel 3.

Once you come out of the tunnel on the other side, you’ll be standing in front of the Axis Pillar. There’s a Halo Rail station nearby; don’t forget to activate it.

Axis Pillar

Before you head to Axis Pillar, it’s best to return to Arseille and adjust your party. You’ll be able to add Julia and Captain Vander to your team as well. On each floor, you’ll have to face one Enforcer. You may be required to bring a specific team member against some Enforcers for story reasons.

Before you can enter the pillar, you’ll have to fight against Riot Claw. Defeat it to progress into the pillar.

First Floor (Bleublanc)

On the first floor, you’ll encounter Bleublanc. Unlike your previous encounters, Bleublanc will summon his clones at the start of the battle. He’ll also have some Archaism on his side.

Use skills that target all of the enemies in the arena to get rid of the clones. After Bleublanc loses half of his HP, he’ll unleash his S-Break, enveloping the entire arena.

Make sure you’ve equipped something to prevent confusion because Bleublanc can easily hit your party with that status effect.

His ultimate art targets one of your party members to deal heavy damage to them. Once you’ve defeated Bleublanc, interact with the terminal there to unlock the path to the 2nd floor.

Second Floor (Walter)

On the second floor, you’ll need to bring Zin with your party. You’ll face Walter here. He’ll have to Shadow Cougars with him.

Walter uses powerful attacks that can go past Invulnerability and shields. You’ll have to rely on increasing your evasion using Sylphian Wing Art.

You’ll have to use the same strategy that you’ve deployed in your previous battles against Walter. Zin’s taunt is effective at keeping Walter occupied. If Zin gets fainted, your healer can easily bring him back, which is a lot better than losing your healer to Walter.

Don’t forget to use Anti-Sept on Walter or any other Craft that removes all buffs from enemies when Walter buffs himself towards the end of the battle. Proceed to the next floor once you’ve defeated him.

Third Floor (Luciola)

On the third floor, you’ll have to bring Scherazard with you. Similar to the previous battles, Luciola will summon Jubokka and Zaqqum. Zaqqum only takes damage from Crafts, and you’ll have to use Arts against Jubokka.

Luciola will also have several smaller fog monsters with her. You’ll have to watch out for the status effects, and she can also inflict stat-downs on your team members. If she makes a clone, be wary of damaging it because the damage will be transferred to one of your team members, and they’ll end up with 1 HP. After defeating Luciola, proceed to the fourth floor.

Fourth Floor (Renne)

Renne is easily the most challenging battle in the entire game. She’ll immediately use her S-Break as the battle begins. She’ll also have Pater-Mater helping her out in the battle.

You’ll have to rely on positioning to deal with her. Pater-Mater occasionally unleashes devastating attacks that can inflict status effects; you’ll have to be careful because having a shield doesn’t help here.

If you do manage to defeat Renne first because of her lower HP, Pater-Mater will resurrect her shortly. The huge mecha can even cast reflect on itself when its HP gets lower.

If you want to end the battle, you’ll have to defeat Renna and Pater-Mater with one attack. Once you’ve done that, you can proceed to the fifth floor.

Fifth Floor (Leowe)

At the top of the tower, you’ll encounter Leowe. He’ll have two Riot Sabers by his side. Leowe is incredibly strong. Luckily, you don’t have to defeat him to progress the story.

After you’ve been defeated, you can choose the option to proceed as is, and that will progress the story forward.

To The Depths

After a series of cutscenes, you’ll find your party on an elevator going down. Here, you’ll be attacked by an Archiasm called Reverie Dragion.

The only issue is that you’ll have to fight against it with a party of three, as Joshua won’t be available for the battle.

Professor Wiessmann

Once you’ve reached the depths, the sequence of the final battles will begin. You’ll have to face Professor Wiessmann.

He has some small drones by his side, but you can easily get rid of them using skills that target multiple enemies.

The only thing that you have to keep an eye out for in this battle is the Professor’s Genesis Barrier skill. It gives him the Reflect status. You’ll have to use Anti-Sept to get it off him and open him up for attacks.

Weissmann can also trap one of your party members in another dimension. They’ll come back after a few turns. Be careful towards the end. Once the Professor is in Rage Mode, he’ll get super fast and will be using powerful attacks repeatedly. Try to deplete his HP as quickly as possible.

Angel Weissmann

Angel Weissmann is the true final boss of the game. During the first encounter, the boss will be covered in a protective barrier.

You won’t be able to deal any damage to it and will be wiped out. After a cutscene, the real battle will begin as Angel Weissmann teleports your party into another dimension.

In the first half of the battle, you’ll have Angel Weissman, and a serpent floating around in the boss arena. The serpent will occasionally spit on the team, inflicting them with different status effects. There are also some Greed Loopers in the arena, but you can get rid of them quickly with some skills that target all enemies.

You can’t do anything to the serpent, so just focus on Angel Weissman. Using shields and spacing between the team members is a good way to progress here.

In the final phase, the serpent will join with Angel Weissmann, further strengthening him. The boss will have a permanent shield for the fight. It may also summon smaller enemies that will inflict several buffs on the boss when they’re defeated. Use any skill or Arts that remove buffs to negate the effect.

To disable the shield, you’ll have to destroy both of the boss’s hands. One of the hands can only be damaged with arts, while you can only use crafts against the other hand.

Once both of the hands have been destroyed, the shield will be removed. You’ll be able to deal damage to the boss. Keep in mind that, as the battle goes on, the boss may regenerate the hands, and the shield will be back.

The boss may also periodically mark some hexagonal blocks on the arena. On the next turn, the marked hexagonal blocks will disappear from the arena, and any of your party members standing on these blocks will be permanently gone from the battle.

To avoid it, you should use Clock Up or Clock Up Ex to speed up your ally’s turn so you can move them away from the marked blocks. Furthermore, this action is a spell. If you can hit the boss with a skill or Arts that has an Impede effect, you’ll be able to stop the boss from removing the blocks from the stage.

Once you’ve defeated the boss, it will trigger another cutscene. Here, you’ll have to escape as Estelle and Joshua through the Liber Ark Underground Tunnels. Follow the quest marker through the tunnels to escape. After you do that, you’ll be able to see the ending cutscene.
