Chapter 2: The Raging Land
As you arrive in Ziess by the airliner, Estelle and her party will experience a short earthquake. There’s no damage, but you’ll have to head to the guild to report to Kilika.
Kilika suspects that a similar earthquake struck the Wolf Fort a few days ago, but nothing was felt in Ziess, which is within walking distance. She’ll ask your party to look into it, but before all that, you’ll have to go see the Professor and Tita.

Professor And Tita
To find the Professor and Tita, you’ll have to head to the Factory on the southwest edge of Ziess. As you enter the building, it will trigger a cutscene.
After the cutscene, the Professor assures you that he’ll have a device ready soon, and in the meantime, you’ll have to go and investigate the Wolf Fort.

Wolf Fort
Once you reach the Wolf Fort, talk to the Chief Warrant Officer Pace. He’ll suggest that you ask questions of the rest of the guards stationed at the fort. There’s one guard on the roof of the building where you found Chief Warrant Officer Pace.
Private Bahm is guarding the gate to the fort. Talk to him, and he’ll tell you that Henning might’ve seen something.

Next, you’ll have to go to the rest area building to the right. You’ll find Private Henning inside it.
Private Henning will tell you that he saw a guy with black glasses a day before the earthquake.

Sanktheim Gate
Go and talk to Chief Warrant Officer Pace again. Leave the area. However, Officer Pace will stop you to report that a localized earthquake has just hit Sanktheim Gate.
The party will then immediately arrive in Sanktheim Gate. Chief Warrant Officer Dale asks you to find Warrant Officer Talbot if you want to inquire more about what had happened. You can find Talbot in the storeroom behind Dale.

According to Talbot, the earthquake lasted for around half a minute. Estelle will have to decide what’s different about the earthquake. The correct answer here is the duration of the earthquake.
Talbot will also share that Chesley saw someone strange, but he’s working on the rooftop. You’ll have to go there and find him.

The description of the strange person matches the one that was reported at Wolf Fort. Chesley says Tammy also saw the man, and she works at the cafeteria. You’ll have to go to her next.
Tammy will tell you that she saw the man, and he jumped to the ground from a great height and disappeared shortly after.

Professor Russel’s Invention
Now that you’ve investigated the Wolf Fort and Sanktheim Gate, you’ll have to return to the guild branch and report to Kilika.
Here, you’ll find Professor Russel. He has got three devices for you that you have to place at three different points around Ziess.

Tita will join your party after this. She’ll also help you place these devices at the designated locations. First, you should head to Lieston Fortress.
Talk to the guard in front of the Lieston Fortress, and he’ll permit you to place the device. The device should be in front of the bridge, near the signboard.

Estelle’s father will arrive at the scene, and he’ll talk to the party. You’ll then have to place the second measuring device at the stone circle. You can find it on the path leading to the Wolf Fort.
Make sure you’re properly prepared before placing the device because this will trigger a battle.

As soon as you place the device, a herd of Sky Creepy Sheep will attack you. These enemies absorb water element arts, but are weak to fire and earth arts.
Try to use arts that cover a wide area, such as Flare Arrow and Earth Lance. Once you’ve defeated the enemies, the device will be successfully installed by Tita.

The final location is a little tricky to find. You’ll have to head to the Ziess Central Factory. It is in the northern part of Ziess. Enter the factory and go to the basement. You’ll find a path leading to the Kaldia Tunnel here.

Keep going straight into the tunnel. You’ll reach the designated location shortly. There’s a healing crystal nearby as well.

After placing all of the devices, you’ll have to return to the Ziess Central Factory and head to the operation room on the fifth floor.
Professor Russel will use the readings from the devices to measure the location where the earthquakes have been originating, and you’ll have to pinpoint the location. Among the list of options, select Elmo Village.

Elmo Village
Elmo Village is a hot-spring location where you’ll have to meet Mao. Mao will give you the key to the wooden door inside the village.
Take the key and open the door. You’ll enter the dungeon area from here onwards.

Inside the hot spring source dungeon, you’ll find geysers of hot water. You’ll have to get their timing down and pass through the area while they’re calm.
Make your way to the depths of the area. There will be a healing crystal before the boss room.

Abyss Worms
As you face the Enforcer Walter, he’ll summon some gigantic insects to fight against you. These five Abyss Worms have a gimmick where they start to glow. There are also some Parasite Prima, but they won’t be as troublesome since they have low HP.
If you attack them in this state, they’ll unleash an attack that damages your entire party greatly. If all five of them are glowing, and you use an attack that targets all five of them, you’ll take a ton of damage and might not even survive.

The Abyss Worms are weak to Fire and Wind elements, but can absorb Earth arts. If you can use arts for shields, such as Earth Guard and Kloe’s ultimate skill, you’d be able to withstand combined attacks of the Abyss Worms.
Once you’ve defeated the enemy monsters, a cutscene will begin. The Enforcer will leave, and the party will return to the guild where Kilika will reward you for your efforts. Tita and Zin will also join your party, and you’ll be able to start Chapter 3: A Mad Tea Party.
