Vampires: Bloodlord Rising, an open-world base-builder RPG, was just released recently. The game is currently in early access, so there are going to be some issues with it. However, the overall experience it delivers is quite good. For more information, head over to its Steam page. There, you can also interact with its community and read reviews.
In this game, your main task is to rule over three major lands so vampires can return to their former glory. You have already ruled over one, or you may be close to doing so. The next one will be a little more complicated. In this guide, I will provide you with a complete walkthrough on how you can rule Fey Marshes easily in Vampires: Bloodlord Rising.
Disclaimer
Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is an open-world RPG, and the Fey Marshes walkthrough is based on my personal playthrough. Your experience may differ depending on how you approach the game. The game also features choice-based decisions that can influence the main story and lead to different outcomes. I generally chose options that result in positive consequences, but you’re free to make any choices you feel are better suited to your playstyle.

Finish Building The Stronghold In Hell’s Chasm

If you have finished building the stronghold in Hell’s Chasm, you can skip this heading. However, if you have not, then you must do it. This is because just finishing the main Hell’s Chasm quests is not going to be enough for you to rule over the area. You need to rebuild the stronghold there so Reveka can rule it in your stead.
Ways To Rebuild The Stronghold In Hell’s Chasm

The materials you need to rebuild the stronghold are quite a lot. You can either farm them and make your servants collect them to speed up the process, or you can simply pay to rebuild the stronghold without collecting any materials. You can get money by defeating inquisitors and looting their bodies.
I recommend this method since you can get a lot of Vampire’s Tears this way. However, do not just spend all the money immediately. There are some items that you most likely already have, or that are very easy to craft.
These include Limestone, Shadowrock, and Chiseled Limestone. Mortar, Glass, and Planks are also fairly easy to obtain, so you will not have much trouble getting them. Because of this, you do not need to acquire them in the same quantity mentioned in the stronghold requirements. You can roughly rebuild the stronghold first and then spend money to cover the remaining materials. If you prefer, you can also collect all the materials yourself and save some money.
Once you have rebuilt the stronghold, you will unlock several recipes, including Weak Blood Vials, and you will also increase the core blood limit by 1,000.
Assign A Guard To Your Stronghold In Hell’s Chasm To Protect It From The Inquisitors
After rebuilding the stronghold, it is crucial that you assign a servant to guard it. If you do not assign anyone, the inquisitors will damage the stronghold, and you will have to rebuild parts of it. While it will not cost as much money as before, it will still feel frustrating to spend resources on the stronghold again.
To prevent this, go to the management tab and assign a couple of servants to guard the area. Also, once you empower the core, you will be able to create even more vampires, so you do not need to worry about workflow or servant availability.
Empower The Core

Now that the stronghold has been rebuilt, you need to empower the core again. This can be done at your main base. However, before heading there, make sure to collect taxes from Reveka. Once you have done that, head back to your base. This time, you do not have to feed the core yourself.
Create More Vampires To Feed The Core
Your servants should handle this for you, as hunting for blood over and over again can quickly become a pain. If you do not have nine vampires by now, you should head out to nearby villages and expand your workforce. Create more vampires who can actually work. Do not go for greedy ones or those who steal -instead, look for vampires who have some useful talents.
Once you have enough vampires, assign a few of them to feed the core. Over time, you will have enough blood in the core to power it once again. You will need to reach the thousand threshold, which may take some time.
Explore The World While Your Servants Are Feeding The Core

While your servants are feeding the core, you should head out and defeat some inquisitors. Look for their camps and eliminate every single one inside. After clearing a camp, search it thoroughly for chests and Vampire Tears. Your main goal here should be unlocking the bat transformation, as it makes traversal much easier.
The bat transformation does consume more blood, but it is absolutely worth it. Go for this ability first. If your servants are still feeding the core after that, look for more inquisitor camps. This time, your priority should be unlocking the phantom ability.
Note
Before fighting the inquisitors, make sure to save your game. If you are far away from the spawn point and die, you can simply reload your save instead of traveling all the way back..
Unlock Fey Marshes
Once you have enough blood in the core, unlock Fey Marshes, as this region is slightly closer than the others. This is also the area where you can find rare plants that are used to craft different alchemical brews. These will definitely come in handy later, which is why unlocking this area next makes the most sense.
Talk To Razvan

Razvan will be in the same spot as before, where you spoke with him after powering the core earlier. Head over to him and start a conversation. He will give you some useful information, and the Fey Marshes main objective in Vampires: Bloodlord Rising will begin.
Fey Marshes
To complete the Fey Marshes objective, you will need to finish three main tasks. After receiving the information from Razvan, your first task will be Blood for the Unknown.
Blood For The Unknown

Blood for the Unknown is the first quest in Fey Marshes. Your first task is to head to Fey Marshes. You do not need to travel there on foot or use the bat transformation. Instead, you can fast travel with the help of the Coachman.
The Coachman can be found in the village near your main base. Head over to him and fast travel to Fey Marshes. This will only cost you 10 gold coins. Once you arrive, the next task, finding the village in Fey Marshes, will be completed automatically because the Coachman takes you straight to the village entrance.
Gather Rumors About The Beast In Fey Marshes

Next, you need to gather rumors about the beast that is said to be roaming the Fey Marshes. Head into the village and talk to different people. You need to collect at least three rumors in order to track the beast. However, simply talking to three villagers is not enough.
You must keep talking to different people until you obtain three rumors that specifically mention the beast. Along the way, you may also hear rumors about capable individuals whom you can later transform into vampires using the Kiss of Eternity. For now, ignore those and focus only on gathering rumors related to the beast.
Find The Beast’s Cave

Once you have collected three valid rumors about the beast, you no longer need to talk to the villagers. Your task will update, and you will be asked to find the beast’s cave. Before heading there, take note of the mausoleum near the village that is visible on the map.
Head to this mausoleum and make it your respawn point. Also, go downstairs to loot the chest inside, as it contains some useful items. After that, head out to find the beast’s cave. If you want to gather new plants, this area has plenty of them, so exploring a bit will not take much time.
The cave is located a fair distance away from the village. Its location will be marked on your map, so follow your compass to reach it. Use the bat transformation to make traversal much faster.
Discover The Mausoleum Near The Beast’s Cave

Just before reaching the cave, you will find another mausoleum. It is recommended that you discover it so you can respawn here if needed. There are also plenty of deer in the area, so if you are running low on blood, refill your supply before entering the cave.
Enter The Cave
Once you are done feeding, head inside the cave. Destroy the debris blocking the path, and your objective will update to face the beast.
Face The Beast

After destroying the debris, move forward, and you will find a coffin. Interact with it to awaken Malak. After a lengthy conversation with him, the Blood for the Unknown quest will be completed.
Into The Veil

Into the Veil is the second main task in the Fey Marshes objective. Once you are done talking to Malak, you will receive an objective to wander through the Silver Veil for 20 seconds. The Silver Veil can be found on the southeast side, and getting inside it will drain your health and blood.

If you can’t find it, then from the mausoleum, head to the southeast side. You will also notice a blueish light on the top side. That is a Vampire Lord’s Tear. Make sure to pick it up along the way. If you are still having a hard time finding the Silver Veil, simply head back to the entrance of the village and go in the opposite direction.

As soon as you enter the veil, your health and blood will start draining at a massive speed. You will need to regenerate a couple of times to complete the 20 seconds. There are quite a few deer in the area, so drink their blood.
Once the 20 seconds are over, get out of the Silver Veil and head back to Malak. After speaking with him, the Into the Veil task will be completed, and the next quest, Eyes Opened, will begin.
Eyes Opened

For this task, you need to find 12 Seerblooms. You do not have to search blindly, as the area where they grow will be marked on the map. Head to the marked location, where you will encounter some enemies. If you have already unlocked the phantom ability, you will be able to complete this objective with very little effort.
Simply use the phantom ability, and just outside the area where the quest marker leads you, you will find Seerbloom eyes. You only need to interact with one plant to obtain all 12 Seerblooms. If you want to collect more, feel free to do so, as they can be useful later. Gathering extra will not take much additional time.
Head Back To Malak

Now that you have the items Malak asked for, return to him and start a conversation. After that, the game will say you need to wait until the next night, however you don’t actually have to wait till the next night, so don’t teleport back to your base. Simply go out of the cave, and you will hear a loud explosion. After that, re-enter the cave, and the objective will update.
Once night falls, head back to Malak and speak with him again. After a rather strange conversation, the Eyes Opened quest will be completed. With that, the Fey Marshes objective in Vampires: Bloodlord Rising will also be finished. However, you still do not fully rule the land, so there are a few more steps you need to complete before this storyline truly ends.
Build A Stronghold In Fey Marshes

After you are done talking to Malak, exit the cave and follow the quest marker. Use your bat transformation ability to reach the destination faster. Since the location is at the top of a hill, the bat transformation will be especially useful here.
Defeat The Inquisitors To Rebuild The Stronghold

To rebuild the stronghold, you will need to defeat quite a few inquisitors. There will be many of them, so proceed with caution. I recommend saving the game beforehand and discovering the nearest mausoleum to your location.
Fortunately, there will not be many inquisitors using shields, so the fight will not be too difficult overall. However, some enemies will be wielding spears, which can be annoying since they cannot be counterattacked easily. There may also be some enemies who will attack with a crossbow. Take care of them first, as they can take out a chunk of your health with just a single hit.
Make sure to dodge or retreat whenever you see a red warning light. Once you have defeated all the inquisitors, loot their bodies and head over to the core.
How To Rebuild The Stronghold In Fey Marshes

Once again, you will need a large number of materials to rebuild the stronghold. You can either gather and craft them yourself or use money to rebuild them instantly. Earning money in this game is not very difficult, as you can sell many of your items for a good amount of gold.
You can also earn money by hunting inquisitors, which makes them a reliable source of income. In addition, you can collect taxes from the village near your base and from Reveka, who is currently overseeing Hell’s Chasm.
If you prefer collecting resources, you can do that, but spending money is generally more efficient. You can also partially build the stronghold first, which will reduce the overall rebuilding cost. Once the stronghold is rebuilt, you will unlock several very useful recipes, and your rule will be established in Fey Marshes. The core blood capacity will also increase by 1,000, so make sure to reassign your servants to feed the core.
Assign Some Servants To Guard The Fey Marshes Stronghold
After that, speak with Malak to collect taxes from him and browse his shop, as he sells some useful items. Finally, as mentioned earlier, assign a couple of your vampires, preferably guardians, to guard the stronghold. This will protect it from future inquisitor attacks.
With that, the Fey Marshes in Vampires: Bloodlord Rising will finally be under your rule.
