Underwater Missile Base

After your failed attempt at catching the crab, read the fishing book you have again to learn that crabs are into fish eggs.

You already have a bunch of fish in your inventory, so interact with the fish to separate a fish with eggs.

Go below deck and use the Fisherman Jacket. In your inventory, use the Skinning Knife with the Fish with Eggs.

Now pick up the Bottle on the Bedside Table to the left, and use the eggs with the bottle. This will get you the Bottle With Eggs.

Go above deck again and approach the submarine. Open the Cargo Bay in the back of the Submarine and use the Bottle with Eggs with the Cargo Bay.

Assuming you’re still at the Dead Whale, use the submarine to go down.

Near the Crab, you’ll find a location marked ‘Rocks’. Interact with the Rocks to toss some eggs on there. While the Crab is busy munching, grab him.

Go further down to the dead whale, where we’ll find some useful stuff: a hook (located below its eye) and a lead wire at the bottom of the screen.

Go all the way up to the boat now. Use the ‘take out’ option on the Cargo Bay of the Submarine to get the three items out.

Go back Below Deck and pick up the Fishing Cord from the bottom shelf. Now in your inventory, try to combine the hook with the Fishing Cord.

After Jay comments she doesn’t know anything about tying knots, go back above deck and talk to the Captain. After talking to him about how to tie a knot, do the combination again and this time you’ll get a Hook with Cord. This will be useful for the bait.

For the final preparations of the bait, return to the Missile Base and take your Submarine all the way in.

Return to the Control Room at the far right and pick up one of the shrimp cans lying on the ground (Jay will automatically pick up one without rust). Next, pick up an unopened shrimp can that is the leftmost shrimp can sitting on the control center table.

Now that you have all the bait ingredients, it’s time to prepare the bait.

Go left to the Kitchen and open the Fridge. Pick up the Pot and close the Fridge Door.

Use the Pot on the Stove and then use the Stove. Now put the Lead Wire in the Pot, and then pick up the black-and-white chequered towel (it’s below the stove).

Use the towel on the pot and shut off the stove. Now in your inventory, use the Molten Lead in the pot with the empty shrimp can. This will create a plump for your bait. Use the can with molten lead on the hook with cord in your inventory to finish it off.

Now use the hook with cord and plumb on (in order), the fish, the crab, and the unopened shrimp can.

At last, your bait is ready, so go all the way left to the Submarine again. Use the bait on the Cargo Bay and then hop into the Submarine.

Once out of the Missile Base, interact with the octopus for a cutscene.

Once you’re back in the Missile base, return to the Missile Control Room and use the Missile Control Center.

Now that the deed is done, return to the Aquarium (to the left of the Kitchen) and use the Control Station there.

A cutscene follows, which will take you to the next area of the game.
