Welcome to Part 2 of the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Wax Heads, covering tracks 8 to 15.
Wax Heads is a cozy punk narrative sim where you work in a struggling record store. In this game, several different customers will visit your store to buy an album each day. They will give you vague hints, and you will have to pick the album they think they are asking for. For more information, head to its Steam page.

Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 8
As you enter the shop and the track 8 stars in Wax Heads, a conversation with Morgan and Matteo will begin. Once the conversation is over, leave the staff room and open the store.
Interact With Ali And Patri
Ali is a repeat customer, as she came before. As you are talking to Ali, Patri will then arrive, so now you have to interact with both of them. They want a rap album, but a romantic one. So, from the Mimi section, head left, and you will notice that there is now a new album.
The one at the very left, Fundam by Minnie & Minx, is what you are looking for.
Interact With George (The Collector)
George is a collector, and he is looking for a fearsomely loud, thrashy collector’s edition. This description matches the Snarl album Eye Tried perfectly, so head upstairs and then go to the Snarl section. From there, select the one in the middle, Eye Tried.
Interact With Mike
Now, Mike is looking for spectral stoner rock, which does not tell you much about the album he wants. The correct solution is the Ghost Bucket album by Pale right next to the Dirt. You’ll notice in its description it says it was written by ‘stoned-out teens‘.
You will find this in the first room as you go upstairs.
When the customer leaves, Paul will arrive and have a conversation with you. When the conversation is over, the next customer will arrive.
Interact With Lira (Dizzy Demons) And Mascot Dad (Dizzy Demons)
The mascot duo is back, and you now have to look up an album that is not Mimi or Sister and has a robot. That album is going to be the new one you just gave Ali and Patri. So, head left from the Mimi section and select the one at the very left.
Lira and Mascot Dad are looking for the new Fundam album by Minnie & Minx, as you can clearly see a robot on the cover.
Interact With Rashida
She is looking for an album to add to her late father’s collection. The only leads you have are that he has been to a Huff and Puff tour and that he loved a band that had a song in the slasher film, Decaying Debbie.
The correct answer is Deadly Last Gasp of Freedom by Snarl. If you check the description, you’ll find that one of its songs was featured in Decaying Debbie. To get it, go to the top floor and go right twice.
She is the last customer of Track 8 or Day 8 in Wax Heads. When you have successfully dealt with her, you will have a conversation with Morgan and Matteo.
The Apple Bed
Then, you will find yourself in The Apple Bed and having a conversation with Paul.
Shortly after that, Morgan will arrive, and then you will have to pick a drink for her. She wants a beer that is out of this world, and the 15 Eunomia Helles seems like the best fit for this description, as it was brewed for a mission to an asteroid.
Then, a pretty long conversation between the members will begin, and once it ends, Track 8 in Wax Heads will be over.
Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 9
As you enter the shop, you will have a chat with Paul and Abi. After the conversation, you will have to do a little arranging puzzle. Once done, head out of the staff room, and it is time to open the shop.
Interact With Theo (Gamer Guy)
Theo will now be back and will tell you that he has finally beaten the area he was stuck on. Now he is looking for some electronic music that would look killer inside of a video game.
Upstairs, in the first room, there are going to be two new albums. The correct one to choose is the second one, Continue…? by Shy Robot.
Interact With Kelsey
Kelsey is looking for an album with a vinyl that looks like a sun. The album with a vinyl looks like a sun is Wind Poems by Aiko Suzuki (it’s a yellow disk, like the sun). You can find this to the left of where you found the Shy Robot album previously.
Interact With Taylor And Alicia
Talk to Taylor and select the options you see on the screen. He does not want the records, so when you are talking, another customer will appear, Alicia.
She is looking for the earliest album from a person she is referring to as the daring weasel. Her conversation implies she’s talking about Robbie Dare, the vocalist for Ego, Sunny Side Up, who has been rumored to be the ghostwriter behind Mimi’s newest album.
The album she is looking for is Self Deprecating Toast and Jam by Ego, Sunny Side Up.
This will be in the room to the right of the Sister albums (along with the Brick Dog albums).
Interact With The Mystery Shopper
This customer will not have a name displayed. He seems to be a big deal and is undercover, and you now need to find his album. Now, the mask he is wearing and the fact that he is a little shy will give away the album pretty easily.
The one you are looking for is Continue…? by Shy Robot on the upper floor in the first room.
He is the last customer of the day, and after you have made the transaction, you will be back in the staff room. Then you will have a conversation with Paul and Abi.
After a long conversation, Paul and Abi will both leave, and Track 9 will be over.
Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 10
As track 10 starts, you will first interact with Tee, who is acting like Morgan. Then Abi will join the conversation, and after a while, Tee will leave. After that, Abi will assign you a small task. It is going to be a jigsaw puzzle for promotion, so it may be a little challenging.
The correct way to solve this puzzle is by aligning the corners first, as that is going to be straightforward. The rest is going to be pretty simple.
Consider using the laptop to buy some items, and then it’s time to open the shop.
Interact With Will
The first customer of the day is Will, so talk to him. He is looking for an album by Roberta D. Now, as he is a newbie, he wants you to choose the Roberta D collaboration that you think he will like. You may have noticed that on his hoodie is a Shy Robot symbol.
Luckily, Roberta D and Shy Robot have a collab album named Chrome Lick that is available in two editions. You can find it at the entrance of the store. Choose either of the two albums, and you will get the perfect rating.
Interact With Roz (Roberta D Fan)
Your next customer is Roz, a huge Roberta D fan. She is looking for some of Roberta D’s music that is super dancey, loose, and silly. Another hint is the geometric shapes one, so head to where the Sister albums used to be. The first album in that room, Gro))), is the right one.
Interact With Kaz (Delivery Man)
Kaz, the delivery man, is back with his vague hints about the album that the customer wants. He is looking for a Roberta D album called Go Romane Trick, but of course, there isn’t one. However, there is one that may sound similar, Romantique, but this is a red herring.
The correct album in this case is going to be Chrome Lick.
Interact With Miss Ralph And Mr Ralph
Mrs Ralph will act as if she and Roberta know each other, but after having a conversation with her, the reality will become obvious to you. That said, the album she is looking for is going to be one of her early works, so it is not going to be difficult to spot.
So head to the room where Mimi’s albums were displayed before and select the first one from the top, Ghost Hardware. This version of the album does not include the song that so offends Mrs Ralph – that’s how you know it’s the right one.
Interact With Isabella (The Artist)
After the couple, Isabella will arrive, and she is looking for a record that represents her vision of Roberta.
The vision of Roberta D she describes sounds remarkably like a crab (“hard exoskeleton”, “soft underbelly”, “claw, grip, and clamp”, “can see in all directions” and “land or sea, the world is her oyster”).
So the correct option is going to be Crab Dream. To find that, you need to head left from where Mimi’s section used to be.
Then select the one at the far right and add it to the cart.
Interact With Aggelos
Aggelos does not say much except that he needs a Roberta D album with a goblin on it. The correct option is going to be Xtac-500. If you check its vinyl, and you will see that there is a goblin on the left side of the cross.
This album will be in the same section as Crab Dream, to the far left, so select it.
Interact With June
Now, June is looking for a new Roberta D album for her boyfriend. The album should not have anything to do with outer space, demons, or icebergs. There are four new albums by Roberta D, and three of them represent outer space, demons, and icebergs. So this is going to be an easy pick.
Go to the right from the (former) Sister section, where you will find the four editions of the new album Doomsday Hero. Select the leftmost one, Doomsday Hero (Drought). If you check the other three albums, you’ll find that their unique song has references to outer space, demons, or icebergs.
June is the last customer of the day, so when you are finished dealing with her, Abi will start a conversation with you.
You will then have a conversation with Tee, and Roberta D will appear. When the conversation is over, you will be in the staff room talking to Abi. Then, Tee will join, and later on, you will have a conversation with her alone.
With that, Track 10 will finally be over.
Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 11
As you start Track 11 in Wax Heads, you will be greeted by Hank. He will give you a magazine to read, so check it out. As the conversation goes on, Morgan will join.
Once they both leave, head out of the staff room and open the store. Do note that the basement is now available, and it will be accessible from the area to the right of where you unlock the store.
Interact With Tony (Cheapskate)
Tony is back and wants a hefty discount as you just opened the basement. You now need to head to the basement and find him the album that is on sale. There are two albums on sale in the basement, so the one with a higher discount is going to be the right one.
Down Up by Wavemaster is the right option, as that album is on a whopping 80 percent discount (coming around to price of 4, whereas the other album goes down to 7.50 at most.
Interact With Lewis
Lewis is also a returning customer, and he is now looking for an album he saw last week with faces on it.
Now if you have noticed the albums in the basement, you may think you know which album he is talking about. However, keep in mind that the basement was not even open last week, so there’s no way Lewis could have seen it in the store.
The right option is Pit by Jarhead, so head up to the upper floor and in the Jarhead section, select the third album from left.
Then Paul will approach you to have a conversation, and Morgan will join.
When the conversation is over, you will be given a task to do. This will not be difficult at all, as you just need to go with whatever you think is right.
Interact With Rashida And Winston
Rashida is also a returning customer, and this time she is looking for an album that has EZ Circle or Lil Nitro on it. The right option is Levitation by RXX. If you see the description of this album, you will see that it includes EZ Circle and Lil Nitro as guests.
After you have finished dealing with Rashida, Winston will appear, another returning customer. After their small interaction, Rashida will leave, and you will now have to find an album that was popular 40 years ago for Winston.
If you read the magazine Hank gave you before, you would know that it is the 40th anniversary of the Faces in Faces album by Becoming Violet. So, go to the basement and select that album.
He is going to be the last customer of Track 11 in Wax Heads.
When he leaves, you will have a conversation with Hank in the staff room. Then Morgan will join, and shortly after that, Track 11 in Wax Heads will be over.
Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 12
As you start Track 12 in Wax Heads, you will have a conversation with Abi and Matteo. Once the conversation is over, open the store, and you will get your first customer of the day.
Interact With Isabella (The Artist)
Isabella is a returning customer, and this time she wants something ambient and fresh that she can make great art with. Give her Wind Poems by Aiko Suzuki from the upper floor, as its description says that it’s an ambient album.
Interact With Dai (Gig Goer)
Dai is looking for a copy of the album from today’s big show. For a hint, head to Phonogram on the phone and check the latest post. As this is going to be the big show of today, simply select Can Yer Grins by Bricked Ego from the last room on the right side.
Interact With MC Chizzel
MC Chizzel wants a record of the one who knows “how to”, which does not really tell you much. However, he did say that he wants a new record from his favorite rapper, so it has to be a new album.
So head left from the Mimi section, and you will see that instead of RXX, there is going to be another album.
This is the new album from Nia Pixel, Bust Base, so select it. Perhaps MC Chizzel meant “Nia Pixel knows how to bust base”?
Interact With Jon (Grumpy Punk)
Jon is looking for a record that “proper bleeds old school punk“.
He is looking for the album Dad’s Socks by Still Going that can be found in the basement. As its description says, the band is composed of “aging punk rockers“.
Interact With Gelk Man (Influencer)
Gelk Man is looking for an album with a dance in it that is going viral on the internet. So to get a hint, check your phone and head to the Phonogram. There is going to be a small hint (the dance is called “Heel, Spin, Lock, and Fire”), so now head left to the Mimi section and select the album on the left side.
Fundam by Minnie & Max is the right choice, as it includes the song “Heel, Spin, Lock, and Fire”.
Gelk Man will be the last customer at Track 12 in Wax Heads, and after interacting with him, you will have a conversation with Abi and Matteo.
The Apple Bed
Then you will go to The Apple Bed.
There are some conversations that will take place, and at the end, you will have to choose a drink for Abi. The correct drink is Mull of Satire, which, as its name implies, may help Abi to not take things so seriously.
Next up is a concert management minigame in which you must click on the icons when they start blinking.
Then, after a conversation with everyone, Track 12 will be over in Wax Heads.
Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 13
As Track 13 in Wax Heads starts, you will notice there’s construction work going on outside of the shop. As you enter the shop, you will have a conversation with Paul and Morgan.
When the conversation is over, open the shop, and you will then get the first customer of the day.
Interact With Nathan
Nathan is looking for something like Shy Robot that is electronic and mysterious. There are not many similar records you have, so head to the upper floor, and there you will see new albums available in the first room.
Select the Nimbus Joyride album by Claw Dia (the album is described to be house music, which is electronic in nature, and also as ‘aloof’ – which could be interpreted as ‘mysterious’).
Interact With Lira (Waffle Wanderers) And Mascot Dad (Waffle Wanderers)
You now need to find them a new album related to football that everyone will know and can sing to. So it is time to find a football anthem for the mascot duo.
Head into the room north of where Mimi’s albums are, that is, the room where you open the store.
There, the first album on the left side is the right one. Upon reading its description, you’ll learn that the band is still chasing their past football anthem, so select Pint And A Packet Of Crisp by The Oi Oi’s.
Then you will have a conversation with Paul, and another repeat customer will appear.
Interact With George (The Collector)
George is looking for an album by a female artist who has a historic stature. The only artist who fits the description is Maria Estrella. Her album, Gifted, can be found in the basement, so head there to get it.
George is the last customer of the day, and when he leaves, Morgan will come to let you know it is almost closing time.
As she says that, James Grenth will come over. When the conversation is over, Track or Day 13 in Wax Heads will be over, too.
Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 14
As Track 14 in Wax Heads begins, you will not be able to open the shutter.
Then Paul and Tee will join in. They will try to open the store, but it will all be in vain. With that, Track 14 in Wax Heads will be over.
Wax Heads Walkthrough – Track 15
As Track 15 starts in Wax Heads, you will notice everything is robotic and weird. Could it be that you’ve been assimilated into “Press Play”?
Interact With Dan Luffy Landlord
Dan Luffy wants something that is not made by humans. Just give him any album that seems weird and distorted (i.e. remixed by artifical intelligence).
Interact With Pat
Pat is looking for the third container of Becoming Violet memories. In the last room on the left side, there will be the album Masquerade by Becoming Violet as well as its AI remixes. Select the original one in the middle.
Interact With James Grenth
James is looking for an album of the “winner“, and since there are albums of his in the store, he must want one from those. Simply head to the right, and the second-to-last room will have two albums from James. Select the one at the top that looks like the original.
Interact With Willow
Willow regrets what happened and wants you to find an album that takes her back to where it all began. Simply select the 15 Minute Break album by Becoming Violet (the first Becoming Violet album). The correct album is the lower one in the middle, in the second room from the left.
Interact With Morgan
After Willow, Morgan will appear, and now you have to select an album for her. Simply give her the original version of Dove Can Still Fly by Willow. This will be in the last room to the right, and the correct album will be the one on the left side.
With that, Morgan will leave, and Live with Clive will begin.
You will then be able to ask Mimi two questions, and with that, Live with Clive will be over. With that, the part two walkthrough of Wax Head concludes.
