Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Whisper of the House.

In this section of the walkthrough, we cover the protagonist’s arrival at Whisper Town, their first job at a fellow newcomer’s house, and we also uncover a secret while we’re there. Prepare for creepy revelations.

Arrival at Whisper Town
We begin the game with a train ride to Whisper Town. Shortly after reaching your new home, you’ll be presented by a letter from the mayor of Whisper Town welcoming you there.
You’ll also meet your Cargo Robot Mark, who holds your packaged stuff and gives it to you one-by-one to arrange in your house.
We begin by arranging goods and furniture in the protagonist’s own house. There’s three rooms to fill up – the Living Room, Bathroom, and Kitchen, which you can see in the top-right.
Once you’re done with the Living Room (or even before then), you can move on to the other rooms.
The basement is particularly interesting as it has a Recycle Bin, where you can toss items you don’t need and get vouchers in exchange.
Once you’re all done, you can Settle Task from the lower-left clipboard-shaped button.
Luna’s New House
After arranging stuff in your own home, you’ll get a mail asking to help out another newcomer to the town – Luna.
There’s also a newspaper detailing strange goings-on around the town.
We’ll head to Luna’s, which is on the block directly opposite the street.
Luna’s house is a little bigger than yours, with a separate bedroom and a hallway on the second floor.
The Secret Chamber in Luna’s House
When you head to the bedroom, be sure to move the portrait of “Sonna Misa” and then repeatedly right-click on the crack in the wall behind where it was.
This will allow you to get into the Secret Chamber, a creepy room with access to the bathroom. Pick up the mouse trap in the Secret Chamber and take it down to the bathroom. Make sure the trap is primed and place it anywhere in the bathroom.
In the bathroom, make sure to clean up the footprints (which extend to the walls…). One of them require several right-clicks to get rid of, similar to the crack in the bedroom.
Once you’re done arranging items across all of Luna’s house, Settle the Task.
New Mail and Resolution to Luna’s House
When you return to your mail box, check it out for a message from Cheryl, who has rented a nearby bakery and needs your help to set everything up.
On returning home, we get a gift from Luna that includes a shabu pillow and a vinyl record.
After sleeping at home, you’ll receive new mail, which includes a newspaper detailing that a homeless man had been living in the mysterious space behind the wall in Luna’s house. You’ll also receive a new task from Luna to help set up the new, previously-hidden room.
And then there’s the really weird, creepy letter, if that’s what it is. It’s fine, d-don’t worry about it. It’s probably nothing. (We hope!)
Luna’s New House – Bestie Moves In
We’ll go to Luna’s and help her out first, so return to Luna’s and head up to the bedroom.
It looks completely different on account of the expanded space, so we’ll have to set it up all over again.
The bed to the left appears a bit cursed, so go ahead and right-click on it repeatedly to break the curse.
Once you’re done with the bedroom, go ahead and do the bathroom. You might need to change up some of your previous work to make space for Luna’s bestie’s items.
When you’re done with it all, settle the task.
Return to the mail box to get a promotion from Housekeeping (the logo has tentacles… hmm…). You’ll also get a mail from Melody informing you that you’ve got her old place now, which is quite a distance away.
