Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Whisper of the House.

In this section of the walkthrough, we return to Fishie’s seaside cabin, this time to help them with moving in; then we head over to ‘No. 8 Convenience Store Pro’, the new branch of Marwin’s convenience store enterprise; and finally, we head to EinSmart’s secret lab below his Grandpa’s Home for an offbeat task.

Return to Fishie’s Seaside Cabin
We continue our adventures in Whisper Town by heading back to Fishie’s seaside cabin. This time around, we’ll be arranging items in there, rather than simply cleaning it up.
Things are super clean and blue in here now, and while we can get started right away, we will first check out what the situation is down in the ‘Secret Base’.


Here we meet Fishie in the flesh, who mentions there being three lights on the lamp holder in the secret base.
For now, we’ll head back up and get to work.
As you unpack, you might find the graffiti notepad, which you can interact with to complete a dinosaur doodle.

You can also open the drawers in the low cabinet in the middle of the cabin to find some old items in there.

The final item in the box is the bulb you’re looking for – take it down to the secret base and put it on the lamp holder.
Then, un-curse the lamp holder by right-clicking on it repeatedly.

This takes us back to the ‘underwater’ scene. Interact with Finlord here for some extra dialog, and then interact with the submersible vehicle to be taken back up to the seaside cabin.
When you’re ready to move on, settle the task.

We have a couple new mails after this. One tells us that we’ve become a Master Organizer, and the other one is from Marwin, who is opening a new branch of his convenience store business (this one called “No. 8 Convenience Store Pro”).

No. 8 Convenience Store Pro
The convenience store is in the Chinatown nearby, so that’s where we’ll head for now.

This store has a lot more space, and as before, you’ll get new shelves as you go on unpacking, so don’t worry about space.
Surprisingly enough, there’s no cursed items in this task – that we know of, anyway.

Once you’re done arranging, settle the task.
EinSmart’s Secret Lab
We now head to the far west of town to find EinSmart’s grandpa’s home. Just north of this place is a cursed sculpture in a park. Go ahead and right-click on it repeatedly to break it free.

If you continue northeast across the park, you’ll find some ruined pillars in a pond that you can un-curse.

When you’re done, head to EinSmart’s grandpa’s home and enter.
Our goal here is to find the entrance to the secret lab. It’s fairly straightforward – look just outside the house for a lever and a trapdoor.
Pull the lever and head on down the trapdoor.


Here you’ll meet EinSmart himself. After you’re done walking to him, use the time travel door in the middle of the lab.
Select Grandpa’s Home as your destination and hit the green check mark to get going.

EinSmart’s Grandpa’s Home
We’ve gone back in time! It’s time to help EinSmart’s grandpa out with his cluttered home, so start cleaning and arranging stuff.
There’s a cursed item here, and it’s the time capsule in the very middle of the house.

After un-cursing it, pick it up and give it to Grandpa for some extra dialog.
Otherwise, your job here is to get everything off the floor and onto shelves and other places. A bit different than usual.
When you pick up the plant that’s in the living room, plant it in the yard near Grandpa.

If you feel stuck with this task, make sure there’s no item on the floor that doesn’t belong on the floor.
Once you’re done, grandpa will be happy and you can settle- err, press the red button to return to your own time.

Back to the Secret Lab
We find ourselves back in the secret lab, and it’s time to head back up, so interact with the lever to the far right.

Once up, there’s a nice surprise waiting for us. There’s also a corrupted tree that you can un-curse (this is the same tree we planted!).

Have a look around if you like (EinSmart is adorably dozing on his childhood couch), and when you’re ready, head back out to town.
We have a new mail now – this one from Sage, who turns out to be the reporter covering your activities in the local newspaper.

This one’s all the way over in Chinatown, which is a distance away. We’ll cover this one in future parts of the walkthrough!
