Welcome to the last part of our walkthrough for Will: Follow the Light.
Will nears his journey’s end as Father’s Lighthouse looms over the horizon. But reaching it won’t be easy, as danger lurks both in the water and on land.

The Research Station

The chapter starts with Will’s boat sailing on the northern sea. You can see Father’s Lighthouse in the distance.
Start sailing toward it. Will notices a Sperm Whale in the water.

As you sail toward the Lighthouse, the Whale starts attacking you.

You’ll notice some Buoys on the water flashing with a red light.

Follow them to spot a patch of land with two small structures. This is the Research Station.

The Whale won’t attack you here. Dock your boat and get off.
You can’t get to the Lighthouse till you figure out a way to get rid of the Whale. Maybe the Research Station holds some answers.
Finding the Combination Code

Walk along the snowy path to the Research Station. There are two buildings here, one red and one blue.

Head toward the blue building first to spot a Drawing on the wall. Use your Blue Light to activate it.

The conversation tells you that the combination code is linked to the square drawing on the wall of the two buildings.

Walk up to the red building and check the door. It has a combination lock on it.

Count the corners on the two square drawings on the buildings. The blue building drawing has 6 corners, while the red building drawing has 8. This means the first two digits of the lock are 6 and 8.

For the third digit, just dial in the different numbers. The code that opens the door is 684.

There’s a Cassette Tape on a crate next to the red building’s drawing. Pick it up to listen to the tape and then head in through the unlocked door.

Explore the interior of the red building. You’ll find an Electronic Safe on a table on the right. It’s locked right now.

Inspect the note attached to the electrical box next to the Safe. So to open the Safe, you need to overload it.

You’ll find a second Casette Tape on a table in the middle of the building.

Check the bulletin board and inspect all the notes here. It seems that the researchers were looking for a way to drive the Whale away.
When you’re ready, step back outside.
Overloading the Electronic Safe

You’ll find a staircase leading to the roof of the red building. Go to the roof.

Pick up the Cassette Tape on the crate at the top of the stairs.

Head toward the transformer box on the roof.

The transformer box is missing a few of the Fuses. Each Fuse has a number which indicates its voltage. Two wires from each Fuse Box connect to a switch at the bottom. The name below the switch shows where each of them is connected.

Check the note next to the transformer box. It shows that the Optimal Value for Station Safe is 8V. So to overload it, we have to insert two Fuses whose combined voltage is over 8V.
Also note that the Optimal Value for the Hangar Door, which is the blue building, is 5V.

For now, we can’t overload the Station Safe since we don’t have the right Fuses. So insert a 3V and a 2V Fuse on the box that connects to the Shed Door. This will unlock the door on the blue building.

Head down the stairs and enter the blue building. You’ll find a 5V Fuse here. Check the other items here for some additional lore. You’ll also find a Cassette Tape here.

Return to the roof and interact with the transformer box. Insert two 5V Fuses in the two boxes connected to the Station Safe to overload it.

Enter the red building again and check the Electronic Safe. Pick up the Relay Device inside.
Getting Rid of the Sperm Whale

With the Relay Device in hand, head back toward your boat. You can see the Relay Tower from where you’re docked.

Undock from the Research Station and sail toward the Relay Tower. As long as you stick to the left section, the Whale won’t attack you.

Dock near the Relay Tower and get off the boat. Go into the building. The door is open.

You’ll spot a drawing on the wall as soon as you enter through the door. Activate it using the Blue Light from the Lantern.\

Let the event play out, then walk toward the Sonar Machine on the left where the person was standing.

Interact with the machine to insert the Relay Device that you got from the Electronic Safe.

The machine shows you the map grid of the area. The red blip moving around the grid is the Sperm Whale that keeps attacking you.
The numbered points indicate the Buoys on the water, and you can switch between them by cycling through the switches on the panel (marked on the image above).

When you Turn On the machine, it sends a signal to the selected Buoys. To solve this puzzle, you need to send the signal to a Buoy just as the Whale reaches it. It can take a few attempts, but since the Whale always moves in the same pattern, it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Once you scare off the Whale, you can start sailing again toward the Lighthouse.
Reaching the Lighthouse

As you get closer, you’ll spot an area where you can dock your boat.

Once you get off, you have to continue on foot toward the Lighthouse.

Keep walking forward, and soon you’ll see a crevice in the distance with a lamp near it. This is your destination. But a Polar Bear stands in the way, blocking your progress.

Quickly press the prompt button to take out the Flare that Bert gave you in the last chapter. Then press the prompt button to scare away the Bear.

Unfortunately, the Bear won’t leave you alone. It will follow you closely, but as long as you keep mashing the button to scare it, you won’t be attacked. Keep the Bear in your sight and keep backing away from it and toward the crevice you saw earlier.

After getting through, the path is clear. Continue walking, and you’ll see the Lighthouse up ahead.

Enter through the door. There’s a drawing on the wall. Activate it using the Red Light.

When you’re ready, head out through the door on the other end of the Lighthouse.

Will’s Father will be waiting for him by the campfire nearby. Run through his dialogue.

After a heartfelt conversation, you’ll be back where you docked your boat. The light from the Lighthouse is shining a path for you through the ice.

Dock your boat and set sail. Follow the light to keep sailing forward until you reach the open sea. At that point, you’ll get the option to skip sailing and complete the chapter.
Epilogue

The Epilogue puts you back on the stormy ocean where you started your journey. You can’t sail anywhere at the moment.
Waves will crash in from both sides again, and you can only steer the boat to avoid toppling over.

But after a while, you’ll get the option to raise your sails. Continue sailing through the storm.

Soon you’ll see the light from a Lighthouse in the distance, beaconing you through the storm. Keep sailing toward it.

As you edge closer to the Lighthouse, the sky clears up. Keep sailing toward it to trigger the final cutscene of the game.
