Your Aunty is now in trouble, and here’s where challenges actually start in Winter Burrow. The little mouse has many responsibilities on its shoulders. He will meet two new characters, namely Bufo and Gnawtusk. They will help you on your journey, but you must also help them with their ordeal. To learn more about the game, check out the Steam Page.

Chase The Owl
Go past the bridge on the right side to find and bring your Aunty back. Keep moving right and then northwest to reach Bufo. He will help you craft a sturdy pickaxe, which you need to move forward.
How To Find Granite
Bufo will ask you to gather some pebbles, and you will get a Sandstone Pickaxe. He will then ask you to gather Granite. It looks almost like pebbles, but more crooked and black. You will find some lying around in the area outside Moss’ home.
You can gather the rest by returning to the area near your house and going north. Break the rocks using the Sandstone axe, and head further north into a new area. Move north to reach another area, and you will find a lot of granite. There are also travel bags which may also contain granite.
How To Find Flint
Finding Flint can be challenging as its a rare material at this point of the game. You will find one inside the backpank in the south of the area outside Bufo’s place.
You will find the other one if you go a bit left, break the oakwood branch here, and you will find it lying there. Also grab a scroll for an extra inventory slot here.
Bufo now clears up the path to the north, so you can continue chasing that owl. You will reach a new area, and then head west to find someone here.
The next character you will meet is a squirrel named Gnawtusk. You will be asked to find stashes for winter supplies. You are given two hints, namely the lost scarf and a shell.
How To Craft A Granite Shovel
You need a better shovel to dig up these stashes. So you will go back to craft the Granite Shovel. The two new ingredients you need to craft it are wool yarn and pinewood.
To get wool yarn, you need to collect Fur Tuff and then knit it. You can find some Fur Tuff in the starting area. You will find Pinewood if you go north from the squirrel’s house.
Where To Find Stashes
Go north from Squirrel’s house and then left. If you go down, you will find a shell here, and a patch where you can dig to find one of the stashes.
Go back to the previous area and head north by breaking some branches. Go left and collect the recipe to craft some additional storage spaces.
The second stash can be easily found in the area just before the squirrel’s home. You will find it near a tree with a scarf hanging from it in the north.
There is one more stash of herbs to find. The squirrel will give you the lantern, and you can now visit the dark area. Progress further till you reach an open space. Go right into a dark area, and you will find the stash near a stone.
Collect the last stash of rare herbs from the large backpack in your home and give it to the old squirrel. You will also learn the recipe for a better axe from a scroll near it. She will give you the healing tea, which you need to give to your Aunty.
The Aunty will ask you to make some Planter boxes, and you will unlock their crafting recipes by talking to her. You will be crafting these in the next part of our Winter Burrow Walkthrough.
