Now that you are in the mid-game, things are beginning to look rough for Kiryu and his companions. In the next chapters, events may turn in our favor, so in this guide, I will provide you with a complete and thorough walkthrough of Chapter 6 and Chapter 7, Gameplan, and The Mad Dog, in Yakuza Kiwami 3.
Disclaimer
Yakuza games consist of many lengthy cutscenes, and you may feel that they are longer than the actual gameplay. However, the cutscenes are extremely engaging and are essential to the story. Yakuza games are not just about the gameplay. The plot is on another level, and to truly experience it, you should not skip any of the cutscenes.

Chapter 6: Gameplan Walkthrough
Lose the Cops

As the chapter starts, your objective will be to lose the cops that are chasing you. You will have to make simple inputs like moving the left analog stick to either side, so the chances of messing up here are pretty slim. However, when the police car gets right on your tail, you will have to press X.
After escaping successfully, you will have a drink with Date-san and work on a plan to deal with the ongoing situation. After exiting the bar, a substory involving Date-san will be triggered. You do not have to complete it right now because after the conversation with Date-san ends, you will receive a call from Rikiya telling you that he is in Kamurocho.
Wait for Rikiya’s Call

Head to the area marked on your map, and you will receive another call from Rikiya. After that, your objective will change to heading to the children’s park. Go there, and you will find that Rikiya is with Hamazaki. He will then tell you the exact location where Kanda is.
Now you have to head to the Red Brick Hotel, room 403.
Head to the Red Brick Hotel

Head toward the location marked on your map, and you will meet up with Rikiya there. As you interact with the entrance, the game will ask whether you are ready. If you are not ready, you can choose the second option and make any necessary upgrades.
When you are done, choose the first option to head inside the hotel. After you enter, a cutscene will begin. You will then receive the keys to room 401, which is luckily very close to room 403. The cutscene will continue, and Kanda will be shocked by Kiryu’s visit. He will then instantly run away, and his goons will block your path.
Defeat Nishikiyama Family Goons

You now have to defeat the goons in front of you while Rikiya gives you a hand. Make quick work of them and then head upstairs. Rikiya will look downstairs, so your objective is to find Kanda on the upper floors. Room 502 is the correct room, so open the door to it, and Kanda will run out.
Find Kanda

He will start running again, so go after him, defeat his goons, and then enter room 507. You do not have to smash open any other rooms, as the ones I am mentioning are the only ones you need to open. Kanda will run away again, and three of his men will surround you. All three of them will have more health than the usual enemies, and they will also be carrying weapons.
Take care of them one by one and make sure to utilize Heat Actions. When an enemy has a larger health bar, I usually start the fight by breaking their guard with Circle and then instantly following it up with Triangle to trigger a Heat Action. This takes out a significant chunk of their health.

Once you have defeated all three of them, exit the room, and you will see Kanda running up the stairs. Go up the stairs and enter room 606. You can enter room 607 if you want to see something very hilarious, but you will lose some health. As you open room 606, Kanda will run out, so go after him, and you will find the path blocked by his men.
Defeat them and then enter room 601.
Defeat the Slippery Yakuza, Noguchi

Inside room 601, you will quickly understand what is happening, but your main objective is to defeat the yakuza covered in lotion. Kanda will escape again, so focus on fighting Noguchi. Try to finish this fight as soon as possible because Noguchi has some very strange moves that can drain a lot of your health.
Whenever you notice Noguchi doing something unusual, dodge away because he can even launch you into the air.
Once you have defeated him, head out of the room and go straight ahead. A cutscene will show Kanda going up the stairs to the seventh floor. Go up the stairs, defeat Kanda’s men, and then continue climbing. Open the door, and a cutscene will be triggered. It is finally time to fight Kanda.
Defeat Nishikiyama Family Patriarch, Tsuyoshi Kanda

It is very difficult to stagger Kanda, so you cannot spam your combos on him. You need to use shorter combos, and if you decide to go for longer ones, be ready to quickstep or block to counterattack. Kanda hits like a truck, so you can lose a lot of health very quickly if you are not careful.
After landing enough hits, his aura will be depleted, and you will be able to deal damage more freely. If you are using the Ryukyu battle style, I recommend starting the fight by pressing Circle to break his guard and then instantly following up with Triangle.
Second Phase

Heat Actions will take out a large portion of Kanda’s health. After you have reduced about 80 percent of his health, although this may vary depending on how much damage your last attack dealt, Kanda will take out the large lion crest and strike you with it. This is a scripted event, so you can press the correct command to dodge it.
However, keep in mind that Kanda will continue using the lion crest and can hit you again. Getting struck by it will cost you a lot of health, so be careful and use quicksteps or counterattacks properly. Kanda swings the crest twice during his second attack, so do not rush in after dodging or blocking the first swing.
Defeating Kanda

After swinging it for a while, the crest will eventually break, and he will return to fighting with his bare fists. You can’t break the first crest, but when he takes out the second one, you do not have to wait for it to break on its own, as you can pick up an object and hit Kanda with it to break the crest immediately. Then, during his second health bar, after you have dealt enough damage, he will pull out another crest.

Pick up another object to break the crest again. There is also a pineapple on the table. Pick it up and perform a Heat Action with it. This will not only deal damage to him but also restore some of your health, and the animation is quite entertaining. When his health is almost depleted, a scripted event will trigger, and you will have to press Circle repeatedly. Do so successfully, and the fight will be over.
Head to the Yakiniku Restaurant

Now that you have defeated Kanda and the cutscene has ended, your next task is to eat something with Rikiya. However, you will need at least 70,000 yen to enter the restaurant. If you do not have enough money, you will have to spend some time earning it.
You can make money by defeating punks around Kamurocho or by hunting down members of the Reapers. Fighting random punks is generally more effective, as you can earn a decent amount of money from a single encounter. Defeat a few groups of punks or Reaper members, and you should have enough to enter the restaurant.
Once inside, choose the ‘get whatever you like’ option. After eating, your next stop will be Don Quijote.
Head to Don Quijote

Make your way to the location marked on the map. When you arrive, Rikiya will go inside alone and purchase several items. After that, your objective will update, and you will need to head to Public Park 3 to pay tribute to Kashiwagi-san.
Go there, and a conversation with Rikiya will begin. You will be given two dialogue options. Select the first one. Later, you will be presented with two more options, and you should select the first one again. Shortly after, the conversation will end.

Next, head to Utabori’s tattoo parlor so Rikiya can finish his tattoo. However, the tattoo artist will refuse because he sees through Rikiya and decides that he is not ready. As you are leaving the area, several yakuza will ambush you, and you will have to fight them.
Defeat the Yakuza

There will be several enemies, but the main opponent is Mitsui. With Rikiya assisting you, the fight will be easier than usual. Whenever Rikiya grabs an enemy, focus your attacks on that target. The yakuza, other than Mitsui, will go down fairly quickly, so eliminate them first.
After clearing out the weaker enemies, focus on Mitsui. His health is not very good, so the fight should not last long. Once you defeat him, return to the tattoo parlor, and the artist will agree to complete the tattoo. After that, your next objective will be to meet Date-san at the Serena bar.
Head To Serena

Once you are at Serena, talk to Date-san. After that, a very interesting cutscene will commence, which concludes Chapter 6: Gameplan, in Yakuza Kiwami 3.
Chapter 7: The Mad Dog Walkthrough

As The Mad Dog chapter starts in Yakuza Kiwami 3, a cutscene will commence, and Kiryu will be made aware that Majima is involved in the current situation. However, Kiryu trusts Majima enough to know he will not stab the Tojo Clan in the back. So now, after the cutscene ends, you will have to confront Majima to get the truth out of him.
Head To Purgatory

As you step outside of Serena, Hasebe will be back, as the whole Nishikiyama Family is hunting Kiryu down. You now have to defeat him again, but this time, there are going to be a few more enemies with more health bars than the usual ones. Take care of them first, ideally with your heat actions.

Once you are done with them, shift all of your focus onto Hasebe and take care of him. He will use the katana from the start, and getting hit by it will deal quite a lot of damage. Make sure to either perfect guard it or quickstep. When his aura depletes, that is when you go on full offensive.
You can also use Dragon Boost to take out almost all of his health bar in an instant. Next, your objective will change to go to the Nishikiyama Family HQ instead of visiting Majima.
Head To Nishikiyama Family HQ

Start heading toward the location marked on your map, and once you reach there, you will be surrounded by the Nishikiyama Family members. They’re all small fries, so defeating them is not going to be a problem. Once you have defeated them, another wave will appear.
This time, there will be one stronger enemy, but it’s not something you cannot handle. Take care of the goons, and then your objective will change to head to Theater Square.
Head To Theater Square

Head to the location marked on your map, and there you will find many Nishikiyama Family members. As there are a lot of them, you are bound to take hits, so try to be extra careful. Take care of the ones that have bigger health bars, and then you can use Shurujin to deal with the others.
Once you have defeated everyone, Kanda will appear, so now you will have to defeat him again.
Defeat Tsuyoshi Kanda

I recommend starting the fight by going into Dragon Boost. This way, you will not give Kanda a chance to attack, as you will be busy throwing him around everywhere. His aura will also be depleted, giving you an opportunity to damage him even more. When Dragon Boost is about to end, hit Kanda with the finisher, and a lot of his first health bar will already be gone.
Then, in the Ryukyu style, press circle and instantly press triangle to hit him with a heat action. This may deplete his first health bar entirely, but if not, it will only take a few more hits to do so. After that, Kanda’s men will appear, and this will not be a one-on-one fight anymore.

Take care of Kanda’s men first. I recommend using the Ryukyu style and stunning the opponents by using the Tonfa. Also, beware of Kanda, as he will still be attacking you. Once you have defeated his men, shift your focus onto Kanda and use your heat actions on him.
Then, by now, you should regain the dragon boost. Once you do, use it on Kanda and then use a heat action. With this, Kanda should be defeated, so take care of his men, and the fight will be over.
Go To Purgatory

Now that you have defeated Kanda, start heading back to Purgatory and enter the place. As you enter, a cutscene will commence and, as expected, Majima will not speak unless you defeat him in a fight. So now, you will have to fight Majima again.
Defeat Goro Majima

Majima can frame-trap you into a true combo and take out almost half of your health in an instant. Quickstepping out of that combo seems pretty hard, so if you see him dashing toward you, do not quickstep right away. Wait until he almost reaches you and then quickstep to avoid getting trapped in the combo.
Throwing hands with him is also not a reasonable strategy, as he will not be staggered. Start the fight with a heat action in the Ryukyu style by pressing circle and then triangle instantly. Then, use Dragon Boost and throw him around the area. Once his aura is depleted, go on full offensive.
Phase Two Starts After The Scripted Event

After you have taken around 60 percent of his health, depending on how much damage your last attack dealt, a scripted event will occur. You will have to input the right command to avoid taking damage. Then, two shadows of Majima will appear in the arena, and they will also attack you.

If your Dragon Boost is still activated, you can avoid getting hit. Use the finisher and then follow up with a heat action. Using heat actions in the Ryukyu style is much easier, so I recommend always using them in that battle style.
Majima gets really annoying to deal with when the shadows appear. You should not fight him aggressively when that happens. Stay on the defensive and wait for the shadows to disappear. Wait for his aura to be depleted before going on a full offensive, and when that happens, finish the fight.
That concludes Chapter 7: The Mad Dog, in Yakuza Kiwami 3.
