Review: The FIFINE Ampligame H6 USB Gaming RGB Headset for under $50

Designed with gaming in mind, the FIFINE Ampligame H6 is a lightweight gaming headset available for under $50. When it comes to Indie Games, we’re looking for a reliable headset with as many immersive features as possible and the FIFINE Ampligame H6 ticks all the boxes.

Features 

The FIFINE Ampligame H6 comes with 7.1 surround sound, allowing you to hear in game noises and other players in all directions – with clear and concise audio. The mic is also detachable and you can use the headphones to listen to music or watch a movie. 

It is a lightweight headset but also made of good quality materials, meaning you can game for a good few hours without feeling uncomfortable but also safe in the knowledge they won’t fall apart – the headset also comes with a 12 month warranty.

The headset has a remote control built onto the lead – which allows to turn on surround sound, adjust volume, go on mute and alter the EQ. The EQ (Equalization) offers a selection of three audio balances, which can be adjusted depending on what you are using the headset for. 

Testing

The headset delivers – sound comes through crystal clear and features all work as they should. The remote is entirely intuitive and we found we were utilizing it straight away. The EQ allows you to add another element to your in-game audio and find the selection that works for you. As soon as you hit the 7.1 surround sound it’s a game changer – and these headphones can go super loud.

Cons 

• Not compatible with Xbox but does work with PS4 and PS5, Windows and Mac. 

• Requires an adaptor to work with USB-C drive as standard USB connection. 

• Wired headset – provides accurate sound but does impact comfort while playing.

Conclusion

At this price these headphones offer super value and rival any other gaming headset at this price point. We found ourselves totally immersed in the audio within minutes and were loving the surround sound quality. 

For indie gaming the FIFINE Ampligame H6 is great, it lets you hear all the tiny bits of audio devs have put in, that you might otherwise miss. The headset also enables you to add atmosphere to a game, we tried it while working on an indie horror title and it really added to the fear factor. 

There are other headsets on the market that do offer more in terms of features, but what the FIFINE Ampligame H6 does, it does really well. To get more features you’d also be look at paying a great deal more.
