Wrath: Aeon of Ruin Walkthrough – The Mire

The Mire

Head out to a graveyard, where you’ll find a Soul Tether, health, and ammo.

Go up the sloping path to find armor and proceed to find a revolver near a structure with four pillars.

Up ahead is a white switch. Pull it down and clear the enemies ahead.

You’ll find a secret to the left here, which you can access by going to a height and jump-lunging towards the artifact. Go along this secret path to also find a Soul Tether.

Coming back to the main path, go through the doorway and proceed through the corridor to reach a wide open area.

Clear out the enemies here and pick up the Soul Tether near the graveyard.

Feel free to explore this open area now. There’s a Shrine nearby, and you’ll find a coffer key in a graveyard next to the shrine.

There’s also the Red Key, but it will get locked up as you approach it, indicating that we need to find another path to it.

Another secret with an artifact can be found in the opposite direction of where you came in, behind a giant stone pillar, next to the water.

Another secret can be found in the water under the walkway that you took when entering this area.

When you’re ready to proceed, return to the graveyard near where you entered this area, and look toward the tower with the lit torch outside it. Enter this tower.

Below is a shotgun – grab it and the floor below you will collapse.

Drop down and make your way through the corridors. Take a left, then another left, and drop down to the lower floor.

Proceed to what appears to be a sewer area. Follow the sewer corridor to the very end and take a left to find a Soul Tether and some healing items. Behind the Soul Tether is a secret alcove where you’ll find some Dark Armor.

Backtrack a little and go left now to find a Soul Tether on a higher ledge. You’ll find a fork here. Take the way to the right of the Soul Tether.

After clearing some enemies, you’ll up to the ledge where you can find the Soul Tether.

Back at the fork, go downstairs this time, i.e. to the left of where the Soul Tether was. Take another left and follow the linear path to encounter a Stricken.

Head out and go down the doorway to find a Soul Tether. On the lower floor, continue through the tall doorway and you’ll find a Fang Spitter at the bottom of the stairs.

Before you pull the switch here, open the coffer in the area if you have a key for it. It can be found to the right of the switch.

To the left of the switch, you’ll find a pathway with an artifact at the end.

When ready, return to the switch and flip it to pass through the door.

In the next area, you’ll find the pillar with the red key. Proceed left up the slope to find a Soul Tether and a red pedestal. Ignore this for now.

Follow the ledge and go through the doorway blocked by planks. Get the coffer key in here and go further to find a scroll to the left.

Head to the right to find a shrine. After using it (or not), return to the red pedestal and interact with it.

Now that the red key is lowered and your path to it clear, grab the key and return to where the pedestal was.

The big double doors are open now so proceed to find a Retcher. Continue this way and go up the stairs, picking up the artifact along the way.

Go up the stairs to find a pool of water. Dive in. Using the Drowner’s Apparatus is recommended here, as the underwater path is a little too long.

Follow the underwater path until you find a stairwell – go up here and get out of the water. Pick up the Soul Tether and flip the switch at the opposite wall.

This takes you back to the big open area at the start of the level. Make your way back to where the tower was (the one that you dropped down into), and instead of going in, look for the wooden ramp to the right of the tower. Go up this ramp.

Follow the wooden planks up as they go around the tower and then up the bridge to the other tower.

If you jump toward the tree to the right here, you’ll find an artifact. Return to the planks around the tower when ready.

Continue across the bridge to the tree ahead, and then toward the stone platform, where you’ll find a Soul Tether.

You can now go up the stairs to the Red Door.

Pass through and after defeating the Executioner here, go either right or left to reach the upper floor.

Clear the area ahead and then enter the areas to the left and right, behind the pillars. There is a switch on the left and right each – pull these two switches to enable the stairs to the higher platform.

Battle the enemies ahead and head out to another big, semi-open area. Use your blade lunge to go onto the wooden platforms and to the opposite side.

Go up the stairs to pick up the Relic. Pass through the teleporter ahead of the relic to finish this level.
