Chapter 5: In the Depths of Imagination

Begin this chapter by using the IMAG at full power. After the conversation, you’ll enter a flashback section, which takes up the rest of this chapter. Go right to meet Nemo here.

After this conversation with Nemo, you’ll be out under the sea. Begin by going right, following Nemo. You’ll get a side mission along the way, which is to collect algae for Cedric.

When Nemo stops at the giant clamshell, go right and pick up the red algae to the right of the clamshell. Then, talk to Nemo again.

Continue going right after the conversation. Nemo will stop at some ruins – ignore him for now and proceed right. When you reach the giant structure of rock and coral, you’ll find the next algae on the other side.

Use your IMAG here, selecting the option “A Very Thin Base”. Once the way is clear, go to the algae and pick it up.

Return to Nemo now and talk to him. After the conversation, use the machine to the left of Nemo, to descend into the temple.

When you reach the base, go left instead of following Nemo. You’ll find the final red algae partially obscured and located to the right of the final light.

Once you’ve got the red algae, go right and stop right before the temple entrance. You’ll be able to interact with a tablet lying on the ground – it’s located between the temple entrance and the final light before the temple.

Pick up the tablet to begin a new side mission, which involves finding all the Primordials tablets.

Now go right, entering the temple and go to the very end of this platform to find the second Primordials tablet.

Now go to the machine near the left elevator and interact with it to switch controls to the right elevator. Use the very long lever to have the right elevator go down.

With both elevators at the bottom, stand on the left elevator and use its switch, which will raise both elevators. Go to the right elevator now and interact with the switch there to get down.

Go to the far right now and interact with the slot there to put your IMAG in. When Nemo is busy, enter the Opistodomus and proceed right until a cutscene triggers.

After the cutscene, go right past the first two doors and interact with the butterfly statue.

This opens the first door, so enter it.

Inside the first chamber, go to the far right and interact with the puzzle there. This is a labyrinth made up of several concentric sections. You must rotate the sections to ensure that the white line cleanly and uninterruptedly reaches the flame in the middle.

Rotate the innermost section counter-clockwise twice. Then, rotate the second section from the inside twice counter-clockwise. The result should be as seen below.

Exit this chamber and go right to enter the second test door, which should be open for you now. In the second chamber, you can find another red algae, in case you missed one earlier.

Continue to the far right and interact with the puzzle there. Your goal in this puzzle is to allot ‘points’ to each phase of the moon, according to the the hint above the puzzle.

If we take the phases of the moon to be directions, then the quantities you need to allot are as follow:

  • Northwest: Two points
  • East: Two points
  • South: One point
  • Southeast: One point
  • Northeast: Two points
  • Southwest: Three points
  • North: One point
  • West: Three points

The result should look like the screenshot below.

Once you’re done, exit the chamber. Go right past the butterfly statue and enter the third door, which should be open for you now.

Go to the far right of this room and interact with the snake head there.

This triggers a test of agility, where you must get out of the chamber in time and without getting crushed to death. Note that the pillars that crush down have a small light at the opening, which blinks just before a pillar is going to come down.

Get out of the chamber by paying attention to the timings of the pillars.

Once you’re out of the third chamber, go right and past the fourth door. Go to the very end of this corridor, where you’ll find the final Primordials tablet.

Now enter the fourth door and go to the far right. Interact with the puzzle here.

For this puzzle, you must first align the code snake so that its North corresponds with the symbol on the lower-left of the screen. Then, input the remaining North, Southeast, and Northwest points of the code snake into the code boxes.

It should be as shown in the screenshot below. Submit this configuration to complete the puzzle.

After completing the fourth puzzle, exit the chamber and go left until you reunite with Nemo. This concludes Chapter 5.
