Part 3

Go north from the square to reach the Golden Anchor. (This area would be inaccessible to you before if you hadn’t made the contradiction).

Chronique des Silencieux Walkthrough - Part 3

Enter the Golden Anchor and talk to the bartender. Then, pull up your recorder and start playing “I dreamt of a flower”.

Exit the recorder screen and wait. As the melody plays, the bartender will become a lot friendlier with you. Finish talking with him to get his testimony.

This is about it for our investigations, so now let’s begin highlighting the contradictions.

Pull up Yves Maleski’s testimony on Jojo Mandolina – highlight the line “From all the operetta rubbish…”, then switch to the old men’s testimonies. Connect to “If only I could remember the tune…” in Edmond’s testimony.

This expands the Jojo Mandolina topic – talk about it with Yves Maleski, Uncle Flavio, and Blanche to get more dialogue out of them.

For the next contradiction, pull up Madame Solange’s testimony on “Lessons”. Highlight the line “My ladies need to be able to help them…” and in the Lesson Notes document, connect it to “Who knows? He looked at me…”.

Then, go down to Victor Dousvalons and talk to him about Lessons again to learn more.

Now it’s time to make the two hypotheses that will launch us into a confrontation with Madame Solange.

The first hypothesis is: “Jojo’s Drug” + “Finance” + “Pays de Galles”.

The second hypothesis is: “Madame Solange” + “Liquidate” + “Pays de Galles”.

Chronique des Silencieux Walkthrough - Part 3

You can now open the door to enter the confrontation with Madame Solange.

For the first contradiction, go to the Golden Anchor’s barman’s testimony. Connect “Apart from the Thursday dates…” line from the testimony with Madame Solange’s statement “That’s the last time I ever heard of him.”

For the second contradiction, connect Madame Solange’s statement “I’ve made a life of my own…” with the bag of drugs you found.

For the third contradiction, we need to prove that Blanche, Flavio, and Victor are innocent. This is simple enough: switch to their testimonies on the Jojo’s Drug topic.

For Flavio, pick the line “I don’t touch the stuff…”.

For Blanche, pick the line “A nasty addiction…”.

For Victor, pick the line “I feel almost guilty…”.

For the fourth contradiction, go to Uncle Flavio’s testimony on Pays de Galles. Connect “Round here, before the war…” from the testimony with Madame Solange’s statement “All that because we’ve allowed…”.

For the fifth contradiction, go to the share certificate in your inventory and connect “Shares of 70 Francs…” with Madame Solange’s statement “Where would they go…”.

For the sixth contradiction, go to Uncle Flavio’s testimony on Blanche. Connect “Anyway, I don’t see anyone else…” with Madame Solange’s statement “But that’s not for tomorrow.”

Next, you must identify the father of Blanche’s child. The answer here is Yves Maleski.

After this, you must identify who or what prevents Solange from closing down the Pays de Galles. The answer here is unknown to us at this point, but we’ll update the walkthrough as soon as we find out. For now, you can enter any of the topics as the answer and have Yves fill in for you.

This will lead to a long conversation that eventually leads to the conclusion of this chapter.
