Royal Town

Once you’re free to explore Royal Town, you can go about anywhere and talk to a lot of people. There’s also plenty of containers to bust open and get clovers from.

Go up the stairs from where you start, then east. Go south down the stairs from here and then east again to find Papa Baker’s bakery.

After the conversation, go east until you find Papa Baker again. From the gilded cage, go north and enter the Royal Castle, which is now open.

Here, you’re once again free to explore and get clovers and conversations. When you’re ready to proceed, go west from the dining area and then north into what appears to be a storehouse or a library.

Approach the archeologist professors here to proceed.

Once you’re done conversing with the Professors, exit the castle to return to Uptown. You now have to hire a Saver, who will save your game.

Go east of the gilded cage now and enter the building with the purple walls and purple banner.

Here, you’ll enter a conversation and then a fight. Defeat Snowstorm here and then after some more conversing, you’ll get your saver: Dub.

Once again, you can explore and talk to new people. When you’re ready exit the Savers’ Guild and go a little to the east to find one of Dub’s routers. You can save your game at these floating routers.

When you’re ready to move on, return to the Forest of Roots by going far to the west. You will reach The Outskirts.

Forest of Roots

Your goal now is to get to Lapwing Village. The way to it was previously blocked, but is open now.

Upon entering the Forest of Roots, go south, then west, and then north. Be sure to fight the monsters along the way, as this will make you stronger.

Enter the Lapwing Village. You can explore here a bit for items and clovers, but you won’t find anyone to talk to just yet.

Keep going north and then go up the stone stairs to reach The Outpost.

Go north to talk to the Professors again. After you’re done, you can grab a Salamander in this area. Go north from the Professors and jump onto the stone pillars that reach out to a platform above.

Once you’ve grabbed it, return to Lapwing Village, which is in chaos. Go just east of Dub’s router and whack the wooden shack with the sign that says “Do Not Whack”.

After the conversation, you’ll learn that you need to find the Gong Mallet. To find out where it is, talk to Juleo and Romiet once more.

Then, go south from the gong. Near the entrance to Lapwing Village, you’ll find a ‘No Swimming’ sign to the west. You’ll also find a green mushroom you can use to jump up.

Go north from the ledge you land on, jumping onto the blue mushroom, then the green mushroom on the next ledge, and another blue mushroom.

From this second blue mushroom, jump onto the stall roof to the east. Now go north over the stalls and cross the plank bridge to the east.

Once you’re on top of the eastern stalls, go southeast to find the gong mallet. Now return to the gong, where Juleo and Romiet are. Interact with the gong to end the war.

After the conversation is done, go south and turn east at the market, which will bring you to the entrance of the Badger Mines.

Before entering the mines, though, go a little to the south and then west to find some rubble behind a wall. Get Lint to dig up the rubble and you’ll find a chest, which contains a Life Sight.

After you have this, proceed into the Badger Mines.
