Act 2 (Contd.)

For our second main objective, we’re going to go arrange for the hoverjet.

Begin by going to the ground floor (1) and then going all the way right in the hall and through the purple door.

Talk to Petra (the white-haired woman) and ask her about a vehicle. After the conversation, go to the freelance pilot and his hoverjet in the middle of the hangar.

Talk to the pilot and ask him for the hoverjet. He’s unwilling to part with it, so we’re going to have to try something else.

The pilot is very jumpy and is obviously a smuggler, so suggesting that he has no choice but to escape to Sector 7 might help. To do this, you’re going to have to show him something that will spook him and make him think the securi-cops are on his tail.

First, go to Carlata’s office on the second floor. Use the translucent printer in her office and play around with it. You can change the upper face, lower face, and hair, and then press the red button to render the face.

We need to recreate the pilot’s face in this printer. For this, the upper face should have happy eyes (two semicircles pointing up), and the lower face should be skewed to the left. For the hair, pick the dark grey kind that covers most of the head.

When you’re ready, press the green button to print it. If you got it right, Henry will comment that the printout reminds him of someone.

Before you go off to the pilot again, you should make sure you have a pen. If you don’t have a pen in your inventory, go to Totel’s office and investigate the hole in the back of the office (to the right of the teal chair).

After Henry comments on his phobia, use a trowel with the hole. You now have a pen!

Now return to the pilot. Use your printout with the pilot and then use your pen with the printout. Now that the printout looks just like the pilot, show him the printout.

After the conversation, you’re still no closer to getting the pilot on your side.

If you’ve examined the Wanted Posters on the hangar walls, you’ll have learned of a wanted criminal with purple hair, who looks a lot like the pilot. You’re going to have to convince the securi-cops that the pilot is the same as the wanted criminal.
