A New Friend

Begin by running right. As you go, you’ll learn the controls for interacting with the creature, who is now referred to as Mui. Jump across chasms and onto ledges as you go until you reach a section with a pressure pad flowerbed and a tentacle plant.

Here, walk so that Mui is standing on the pressure pad, and instruct them to stop. Step onto the tentacle plant and make a jump from there all the way to the right, across the chasm. Climb up onto the second pressure pad and while standing on it, instruct Mui to follow you again. While you hold down the second tentacle plant, Mui will be able to jump across and reunite with you.

In the next area with pressure pads, do the same as before – have Mui stop on the first pressure pad, then jump across the chasm and enable the second pressure pad to reveal a second tentacle plant. Ask Mui to follow you, i.e. to come to your location, and them stop once more. Now drop down to the second tentacle plant, and jump from there to the ledge on the left. Drop down from this ledge to the ground.

Proceed right and climb up two ledges, then another ledge to the left. Climb up the rope here and jump onto the high ledge, where you’ll find some boards to pull off. Pull them off and have Mui follow you.

Now that Lana and Mui are together, head right across the grass.

When you reach the inaccessible rope, command Mui to get on the upper ledge and then interact with the rope there. This will allow Lana to climb up and go right. Continue this way.

Drop down from the ledge, following the instructions on screen, and then jump right onto the ledge in the middle. Go right and continue that way, dropping down two ledges and crawling through a tunnel that goes right.

Keep going right until you hit an area with a tunnel and a ledge above.

In this area, you want to use Mui as a bait to move the creatures that are holding the boulder above them. You will, of course, be on the boulder yourself.

To do this, begin by sending Mui into the tunnel as close to the boulder as possible, without actually appearing in front of the boulder.

Then, climb the ledges as Lana and stand on top of the boulder. Direct Mui to go forwards, and lead him into the tunnel area ahead (which could be tricky if you get too close to the wall).

Make sure Mui is safe in the tunnel, and then jump on the higher ledge as Lana. Give Mui a ‘follow’ command to have them rejoin you.

Once you have Mui with you on top of the ledge, proceed right. You will come across a bridge that’s too high for you to bring down. Thankfully, Mui can cut the rope that’s holding it in place. Send Mui to the yellow part of the rope and have them interact with it. This brings down the bridge, letting you and Mui cross. Remember to tell Mui to follow you!

As you proceed, you’ll find another area with a tunnel below and a ledge above. Send Mui into the tunnel to stand under the pressure pad, and that will cause the tentacle above Lana to extend. Jump onto the tentacle plant and then climb onto the ledge.

Proceed till you find a chasm that’s too wide to cross. There’s a tentacle plant here, but you can’t extend it just yet. Go left, dropping down the ledges and notice the hole in the ground to the left.

Have Mui interact with this hole to send them to the tunnel with the pressure pad. This will extend the tentacle, allowing you to jump across the chasm. Stand on the pressure pad on the other end of the chasm and have Mui follow you.

Proceed left, up a ledge and through a tunnel. You’ll find yourself at another puzzle with a cage. Unfortunately, this cage is tethered by its cable, and the cable is charged, so Mui will be electrocuted if they try to cut it. We’ll first have to find a way to cut the power.

Go up the ledge and run all the way to the left, where you’ll find a small movable platform. Drag this platform a little to the left and climb on top of it, then jump onto the wooden platform to the left. Continue running a little to the left from here to find the second shrine. After interacting with it, go right again and have Mui cut the rope that’s holding the movable platform in place.

Drop down and drag the movable platform all the way to the right, past the pressure pad and to the very end until you hit the big rock. Run right and drop down the ledge, then pull the boards off the boarded-off area to gain entry to the tunnel beyond. Send Mui to the yellow part of the rope but do not interact with the rope just yet.

Once Mui is in position, go back to the movable wooden platform and drag it onto the blue pressure pad to the left. Once you cover the entire pressure pad, you will disable the power to the cable holding the cage in place. Give Mui the command to cut the cable, and then have Mui follow you again.

Return to the cage and drag it to the right, then climb onto the cage and jump onto the ledge to the right.

Proceed right through a tunnel and some more jumps until you encounter a spider robot.

Wait for the spider robot to go right, then run right and drop down into the tall grass just below the ledge. Move to the next patch of tall grass when the coast is clear, and then wait for the spider robot to go left. Climb up the ledge and make a run for the tunnel. You will be spotted just as you enter the tunnel, which is normal, just proceed through the tunnel and onto the other side.

Continue right to find a rope that’s inaccessible, and send Mui up to drop the rope for you. Get Mui to follow you, climb the rope, and go right up the ledge.

Continue right now, past a crater and a ramshackle structure, until you encounter a high ledge and a cart full of wooden logs. Drag the cart to the right, climb on top of the logs, and then jump onto the ledge above.

Proceed to find another boulder-creature. Run straight past the boulder creature and into the tunnel beyond, make sure Mui is with you in the tunnel, or he’ll get eaten by the boulder creature. Go right, climb up the wooden platform, and run left. Pull off the boards at the end of this path, then go left and up. 

You’ll find a crate here, but do not push it down just yet. Instead, climb up the crate and then jump up facing left to find a climbable ledge. You’ll find the third shrine here.

After interacting with the shrine, drop down to the crate and drag the crate off the ledge and down to the ground. You can’t move the crate much further right just yet, so go back right yourself and down to the tunnel that you entered just after the boulder creature.

Go all the way left again, far enough that the boulder creature cannot follow you. Have Mui stop here, which will make sure that the boulder creature does not follow you to the right again.

Have Lana go back right, then up, and then drag the crate as far right as it can go. Stand on top of the crate.

Now command Mui to follow you again. This will make the boulder creature move right again, which will in turn raise the platform your crate is on. You can now climb up onto the higher wooden platform and proceed right.

Proceed to find another pressure pad puzzle. Have Mui stand on the pressure pad by directing them to go there. Jump onto the tentacle that’s extended to the left (you will have to jump from the stone ledge), and then go right past the chasm. Once you’re past the high stone platform, have Mui follow you again.

Run right past a tunnel to find another spider robot.

Here, wait for the spider robot to go right and then make a run for the second patch of grass, which is just under the wooden structure.

There’s a burrow here that Mui can use. Wait for the spider robot to go right and send Mui into the burrow, so that they emerge in an exposed area.

As soon as the robot detects Mui, have Mui go through the burrow again and appear in the grassy patch. If you did it right, the robot will not be able to zap Mui in time.

With the robot busy investigating the burrow, move right and be sure to have Mui follow you as you go (they will stay by the burrow by default). Proceed to the tall grass to the right side of the wooden structure.

Now wait for the spider robot to go left and direct Mui to go up to the yellow part of the rope.

Do not interact with it just yet. Instead, wait for the spider robot to go left again and then make a run for the tunnel to the far right, which has grass in it. This time, bait the spider-bot by exposing Lana out of the grass, and as the bot makes a run for her, have Lana hide in the tunnel again.

With Lana in the tunnel and the spider-bot struggling to get in, tell Mui to cut the rope, which presents a very pleasant conclusion to the spider robot’s menace.
