The Brook Chalice requires 6 clues. Here’s where to find them:

1. Letter About Weeds – Corridor – Letter on a stool next to the Attic door.

2. River Trust – Master Bedroom – Actually in the Bell Tower room, down the stairs. A piece of paper found above where you found the Attic key.

Brook Chalice Explanation

We learn from the Weed Removal ad that the Brook Chalice is considered a weed to be removed.

We learn from the River Trust newsletter that the trust has employed the same company as the ad above, to clear the rivers of Somerset of weeds. This specifically includes the rivers Cam, Chew, and Somer.

We learn from the Government Notice that the rivers Cam, Chew, and Somer have become unsafe for swimming due to illegal dumping of rusted scrap metal. However, River Frome, despite being affected by the waste, is clear of rust pollution.

As the River Frome was not cleared of weeds, we can infer that the Brook Chalice grows in River Frome and that it blooms despite (or perhaps due to) rust, which it filters.

We learn from the River Poster that the River Frome has an average temperature of 25°C.

Finally, we learn from the Bath Geyser Manual in the bathroom that we can prepare a bath of hot water at any time we wish.

As we can also adjust the temperature of the water in the bath, we simply need adjust the water temperature to the same temperature as the River Frome, and then provide the Brook Chalice with rust.

Brook Chalice Process

Prepare a pot with the Brook Chalice. Water it as usual, and take it to the bathroom.

Place the Brook Chalice pot in the saucer in the bathtub.

Now before we can use the geyser, we need to fix the piping. Pick up the red right-angle pipes scattered across the bathroom and put them in place in the gaps of the piping.

Note that one pipe is found opposite the mirror, below the Bath Geyser Manual.

Position the pipes as shown in the screenshot below.

Now, much like you did in the greenhouse, turn the geyser’s valve to set the temperature to the same average temperature as River Frome – 25°C.

Then, use the tap to pour water into the bath tub.

We still need something rusty though, so go up to the attic and pick up the rusty pig on the table immediately to your left as you go up the attic stairs.

Return to the bathroom and place the rusty pig in the bath tub. This will cause the Brook Chalice to bloom.
