Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for En Garde! This guide covers all the points of interest and secrets in the game, along with a general walkthrough of how to proceed through a level.

Episode 1: Tremendous Trials
From where you start, go down the stairs and follow the path.
Point of Interest 1: Go down the path from where you start and look for a purple graffiti arrow on a wall to the left side.
Keep going until you reach the canal. Jump across the boats to get to the other side.
Climb up to the roofs from the long table and continue to the next area. Jump to the bar to get over the spiky gate, and proceed to the training area ahead.
Follow the instructions to take down the dummies and the lackeys.
After dispatching the lackeys, go back through the gate you came from and take a left. Go up the stairs to find your next type of enemy: the soldier. Defeat him following the instructions on-screen.
Proceed onwards to a cart and jump up to the crates, then look to the wall for a purple arrow pointing towards the next bar. Jump onto the bar to get to the next awning, and then look back for another bar that’ll take you higher. Continue this way, following the purple arrows.
Drop down into the street and fight the soldier ahead before pushing on through the open gate.
Go down the stairs to an open restaurant, where you’ll fight another soldier.
Point of Interest 2: Check the restaurant counter.
Go through the open gate to head to another tutorial area, this time to learn kicking. Proceed through the open gate when available to fight two soldiers at once.
After defeating the soldiers, proceed through the portcullis.
Point of Interest 3: Check the notice board on the left wall, just after the portcullis.
Proceed to find some barrels and lackeys. Take out the lackeys and proceed to the next porcullis.
Point of Interest 4: On the fully closed portcullis, check the announcement paper written in blue ink. You can also access this PoI from the other side of the portcullis, once you get there.
Go back up the stairs and climb the crates near the top of the stairs. Use the bar and rope to proceed beyond the portcullis.
Drop down into the market for a big fight. Defeat the soldiers and then the lackeys in the second round. Proceed through the openable gate at the other end of the market.
Point of Interest 5: In the new area, shortly after proceeding onward, look for a letter placed on a crate, opposite a closed and inaccessible gate.
From this PoI, proceed to the canal and kick the lackeys into the water. You’ll have to jump across a couple of boats to access the third lackey.
Proceed through the open gate and up the crates. Jump across the bars with clothes on them and kick the next lackey off the roof.
Drop down from the roof and head on to find a couple of soldiers by the sea. Kick the crates at them to stun them, and then kick them into the water.
Proceed through the open gate and kick the lackey into the weapon rack. Proceed over the boardwalks and the first net for another fight.
Point of Interest 6: Go right after the first net, defeat the enemies, and then view the wanted poster of Adalia de Volador.
Eventually, you’ll get into another big fight. Here, you must defeat the enemies fulfilling the requirements on-screen, and then clean up any remaining enemies.
Once the gate opens, proceed through it and jump onto the dry-docked boat. Climb up the wooden scaffolding and use the bar to find another lane. Go through the open gate for a fight.
Use the closed gate to the left of El Vigilante to proceed to the next area.
Point of Interest 7: Proceed a bit ahead and check the notice pasted on the gate.
Proceed down this lane to find Alejandro and a blocked path. Go back to a tree that leads to a small alley with a ramp in it.
Go up the ramp and jump across the wall to enter the villa premises.
Go through the villa’s front door and then use the double-doors ahead to enter your next fight. Follow the on-screen instructions to fatigue your enemies, and then take them out.
Use the closed double-doors at the other end to proceed.
In the next area with the blue walls, go left and down the stairs.
Point of Interest 8: From the fountain, take a right and go to the barred double-doors at the very end of the corridor.
Point of Interest 9: From the fountain, go ahead and inspect the letter on the red sofa in the center of the room.
Point of Interest 10: Check the book on the red sofa right below a window.
When you’re done, proceed down the stairs and through the open doors. Use the closed door to enter your next big fight.
Proceed through the closed doors when you’re done with the enemies and the reinforcements.
Point of Interest 11: Check the diary on the table next to the blue bed.
Jump through the window, climb up to the trellis and hop over the wall. Deal with the enemies below.
Point of Interest 12: Check the small El Vigilante poster to the right of the palm trees.
Point of Interest 13: Check the big El Vigilante poster just ahead from the previous PoI.
Continue to the locked gate with the guards behind it. Ignore this gate and go left. For now, ignore the crates as well and go past into a small shaded alley.
Point of Interest 14: Check the book on the rim of the drinking fountain.
Return to the crates and climb up, then jump across to where the stone railing is broken to re-enter the villa. Open the closed doors here and defeat the enemy with your special attack.
Go down the stairs from here.
Point of Interest 15: Check the small box just below the painting of the Count-Duke on a horse.
Go down the stairs and through the closed doors for another big fight. Defeat two rounds of enemies here and then go down the stairs to use the closed double-doors.
In the new area, go straight ahead to the double doors at the end and open them, then proceed to find El Vigilante.
Defeat El Vigilante now to complete the level.
