Welcome to the Into Indie Games Guide for FAR: Changing Tides. This is a story-oriented guide that will help you solve the game’s puzzles and shed light on which direction to go. For more information on FAR: Changing Tides, check out the official website here!

Part 1: Flooded City

We start the game with our protagonist, the boy, descending underwater. Start by moving right once you have control. After the title drop when you reach the surface, go right and then down again to go under the next building.

Proceed right, jump onto the building roof, and then another roof a ways ahead. Keep going till you reach a ladder. Climb this ladder up, then the next ladder, and dive underwater once more. When you reach a building, go underwater to enter it. Inside the building, go up the stairs to the top floor. Here, interact with the wooden box and pull it so that it’s right under the blue button. Jump onto the box and then press the blue button by jumping into it. FAR: Changing Tides screenshot

Push the box towards the window again and when it’s close enough, jump on the box and then out of the window. Swim right until you reach a door with a blue handle. Pull the door to open it. Once inside, jump on the left wall to climb the ladder there and reach the roof. Climb the ladder on the roof as well and drop into the building. FAR Changing Tides screenshot

Just to the left of the painting, there’s a place you can drop down onto a wooden plank, so drop down there and then drop into the water. Drag the floating box towards the pull-chain, then jump on the box and grab the pull-chain. When you drop back underwater, go left and interact with the blue triangular catch (while holding the pull-chain’s hook). This will attach the line to the catch and open the big garage door. Proceed right. You’ll be swimming a long ways now. Keep going until you reach a factory building. Head on to the next part of our FAR: Changing Tides walkthrough here!
