Act 2 (Contd.)
The toy soldier box is on a shelf immediately to your left as you enter the room.
Before we open it, let’s set up a path to the palace and beyond. Place a yellow block on the mantelpiece so that it directs your soldiers to the drum below and then the board game on the table.
Adjust the pinwheel opposite the mantelpiece so that it directs your soldiers to the palace.
Next place a blue piece just after the palace, and a green piece on the bed, so that your soldiers are directed up the ladder at the head of the bed.
There’s an airship blocking the soldiers from hitting the drum below, so we’re going to have to raise the airship. For this, we will make use of the free soldier.
Open up the toy soldier box and follow your troops until they get past the palace. Take control of the free soldier.
As the free soldier, you’ll have to act fast: the other troops are already on the march. Head over to the airship next to the bed.
Move the pinwheel on the windowsill so that it points towards the airship, causing the airship to move.
Repeat this with the pinwheel on the purple study table in the corner of the room.
As the free soldier, jump onto the game board. Now interact with each of the four weighted sacks, one of which is placed on each side of the game board.
Once all four sacks are off the board, pass through the balloon machine and jump straight ahead, towards the top shelf with the cannon on it.
Pause the game and adjust the cannon so that it is aimed toward the higher-up airship. Finally, as the free soldier, hit the cannon to lower that airship and raise the one your soldiers are marching toward.
Your soldiers will automatically jump onto the drum and then the game board, making their way to the exit door.
To get the free soldier to the exit door, drop onto the lowered airship’s balloon, and then jump onto the lowermost shelf.
This is a very simple level, but with a bit of a trick to it.
Arrange four puzzle blocks on the dining table so that your soldiers are routed to the trio of cannons. You’ll find the necessary puzzle blocks on the mantelpiece.
Make sure that you adjust the drum near the windows so that it sends your soldiers onto the dining table!
As for the cannons, have the first cannon point to the second cannon, and then the second cannon point to the third cannon.
Finally, have the third cannon point to the target on the jack-in-the-box.
This way, the jack-in-the-box will face the books, allowing your soldiers to pass around him and to the next drum.
Adjust the drum near the fireplace so that it sends your soldiers directly into the exit door.
Level 28 of Tin Hearts is also a cinematic, so it does not require a walkthrough.
Begin by going down the stairs to find that this level will be taking place in the hallway.
The toy soldier box is located near the front door this time.
Adjust the drum in front of the toy soldier box so that it sends the soldiers onto the crate with the balloon machine. Also arrange a prism block so as to direct the soldiers into the balloon machine.
Up ahead is a palace – make sure the soldiers pass through it, but also place a prism block just after it, so that the soldiers don’t fall off. It’s fine if they loop back and forth on the lower boxes.
Next, adjust the cannon on the palace crate so that it is aimed at the collection of toys on the upper shelf.
Have your free soldier hit the cannon and then climb the ladder that gets raised.
Go past the shelf straight ahead until you reach a crate with a balloon machine on it.
Just past the balloon machine is a drum – adjust it so that it aims towards the crate next to it (which has several paint cans on it).
As the free soldier, jump onto the drum, and then onto the crate next to it. Here, ignore the balloon machine and instead jump up the red paint can.
Adjust the drum right after the paint can, so that it directs the soldier to the drum in the corner, on the crate. Jump onto this drum.
Up on the high shelf, aim the cannon toward the saw resting against the opened box. Hit the cannon as your free soldier and the saw will fall into place.
Now that the way is clear for our soldiers, let’s guide them to the exit.
Use your prism blocks to guide the soldiers onto the ladder as shown in the screenshot below.
Then, use a couple more prism blocks to guide your soldiers onto the balloon machine and toward the pinwheel near the front door.
Adjust the pinwheels by the front door so that they send your soldiers onto a very high shelf. You’ll have to use precise aiming to make sure the soldiers enter the balloon machine on this shelf.
Make sure that the drum up ahead is adjusted right, so that the soldiers enter another balloon machine (on the crate with the paint cans).
Finally, place your four prism blocks as shown below, which will allow your soldiers to reach the exit door.
As for the free soldier, simply drop down the boxes and paint cans, then follow the same path as the other soldiers to reach the exit door.
