Act 3 (Contd.)
Begin this level by opening the toy soldier box, which is right near the palace. Place a prism block so that the soldiers loop around on the platform after passing through the palace.
As the free soldier, get on the airship next to this platform. Use the pinwheels to direct the airship to the end of its path.
At the end of your ride, jump onto the platform next to the airship and run past the bridge, toward the trio of cannons.
Select any one cannon and aim it to the white arrow on the power hub above. Hit the cannon as the free soldier.
Now adjust the cannon on the other side of the bridge so that it aims toward the cannon aboard the airship.
Aim the cannon aboard the airship so that it aims for the white arrow on the power hub in the corner.
This done, return to where your free soldier is, and select the second of three cannons. Aim it for the current white arrow on the power hub.
As the free soldier, hit this cannon now to reactivate the bridge. Cross the bridge and hit the cannon on the other side of the bridge, which will in turn hit the cannon on the airship. This will not have any visible effect for now.
Now return across the bridge as the free soldier, and aim your third cannon for the white arrow on the power hub. Hit this third cannon as the free soldier to disable the bridge.
Near the cannons is a balloon machine – go through it and grab a balloon. Then, adjust the pinwheel after the balloon machine so that it sends your soldier to the drum.
Adjust the drum so that it sends your soldier onto the high shelf with another balloon machine on it. Then, jump toward the pinwheel as the soldier and bounce off the drum.
Grab another balloon on the shelf and jump forward, across the wall of boxes.
Hit the white arrow on the first power hub here to redirect power to the far side of the room.
Now jump onto the airship ahead and proceed to a cannon placed atop a couple of books. Adjust the cannon so that it is aimed toward the higher-up airship.
Now hit the cannon as the free soldier, which will raise the airship that you just jumped across, but also free the drum-on-a-train below.
Move the drum-on-a-train to the very end of the path, so that you can aim the cannon on the table at it and have the cannonball bounce toward the blue book that’s part of the wall of boxes.
As the free soldier, return to the cannon on the table – to do this, you can jump onto the green power pipe.
With the book down, our soldiers can finally make it through the wall of boxes. Arrange prism blocks to direct the soldiers out of the platform and past the downed book. They will automatically turn after the book and proceed in the direction of the exit door.
Allow the soldiers to move and while they do, move the train with the drum on it back to its original position. Make sure to adjust the drum so that it points to the other table.
This way, the soldiers will drop into the gap, fall on the drum, and bounce to the other side. For added convenience, aim the drum toward the turnstile ahead.
As the free soldier, head on toward the turnstile by jumping off the drum, and wait there for the other soldiers.
Once the soldiers start walking into the turnstile, have the free soldier join them, as this turnstile requires six soldiers.
If done right, the bridge ahead will be enabled just in time for the first soldier to pass over it.
As the free soldier, go across the bridge, jump over the airship and stand at the ready by the power hub.
Wait for the soldiers to make an about turn at the airship and go toward the turnstile. Once all soldiers are off the bridge, hit the white arrow as the free soldier, and then quickly hit the next white arrow.
This will move the airship and re-enable the bridge in time for your soldiers to return onto the bridge.
Now it’s simply a matter of placing a prism block to direct your soldiers up the ladder and to the exit door.
This level ends a bit differently. Follow the will o’ the wisp up the stairs.
Level 38 of Tin Hearts is a cinematic, so it does not require a walkthrough.
Level 39 is an atypical level, but a very simple one. Go down the stairs and close all the open toy soldier boxes.
Begin by turning off the three boxes on the two tables with the duplicators on them.
Close the box on the crate that’s directly in front of the incinerator.
On the other side of the room, close the box that’s in front of the crusher.
Close the box near the jack-in-the-box on the table with the wall of boxes.
Next, close the box on the platform where the trio of cannons was.
With this, once the cinematics conclude, you will be taken to a monochrome segment. Just walk ahead and open the toy soldier box on the table.
