Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for The Last Faith!

From the checkpoint, fast travel to either the Oxneville Manor to upgrade/level up or fast travel to the Crypt Entrance. Move to the right and call the elevator down. Ride it up and move to the left. Keep going left till you reach the cave in from earlier and use the left grappling hook to continue.

We are now in the Marshland of Shadows. Drop down and pick up the Dream Catches Pastilles and save the game at the checkpoint. We can only go left, so head left and take out the Swamp Hound. In the next area, there is a summoner witch on top. Take it out. Take out the Flying abomination next and the swamp hound. Pick up the Dream Catcher Pastilles and watch out for the witch’s ranged attack. Use the ladder to take the top platforms to take the witch out and keep moving. In the next room, save at the checkpoint and pick up the Forbidden bombs and keep moving. Slog through the swamps to the next room.

Take the Swamp Witch on top out and the hound at the bottom. The hound should die first. Utilize the platforms to get up higher and methodically clear the area. More witches and flying abominations abound. Keep moving around the area to pick up various consumables and the Scientist’s Diary. Eventually you will exit the area. In the next area there is a temporary checkpoint, activate it and head up.

Kill the witch at the top and take the ladder up, kill the next witch and keep heading up. Repeat this for a third time and then a fourth. After the 4th one, drop down and then pick up the Dark Tears Powder and head to the left through the cave entrance. Pick up the healing injections in the next room and use the focus statue if you need it.  Keep moving left. We should enter the City of Erlim.

The path to the left is blocked by a rain of fire (?) so take the ladder down. Head down the next ladder as well and take out the flying abomination here. Jump across the small platform and on the other side. Head up the ladder here. Pick up the healing injections and take the next ladder down. A Masked Obscenity is at the bottom, so take it out. Keep moving left and take the next ladder up. Exit the room. Head left in the next room and take the ladder down. Save and head down till you come up on Count Walric again.

Move past him and into the open. Take the ladder down. Head right from here and keep heading right till you hit the stairs leading down. Take them down and fight the Glowing Pests. You can then pick up the Water Well Flowers. Head back the way we came. Keep heading right and this enemy – the Ornate Swordsman will ambush you.

At the end of the room, use the grappling hook to get up higher. Take out the Obscenities on the balconies and use the zip line to get across the other side.

Kill the enemy here and take the ladder up and once again use the zip line to get to the lever and open the door. Save point inside so save here. Go back out and head left till you hit another zip line, so cross over to the other side.

Take out the enemy here and keep moving till you reach a balcony. Jump up and go through. You will now meet Lisa. After she leaves, activate the checkpoint and go through. In the next room drop down and go right to pick up Magnetic bombs. Drop down till you reach the bottom floor, ignore the ladder heading down for now and exit the room with the door on the right.

Once you kill the flying abomination, an Ornate Swordsman will jump at you again. Kill him. Keep moving left and another one will jump you. Take him out and get in the next room and head up the ladder to meet Madelyne.

Jump down and head out till you reach the ladder we ignored earlier and head down. Pick up the Nova Astronomi Note #1 and then Nycrux chests. Talk to the Veiled Maiden to the right.

Move up the ladder and go right and keep ascending. Take the next ladder up and head left to exit the room. Back in the open, you will get a cutscene. Get ready for a boss fight.

Boss: Starborn Nighthunter

His move set is as follows –

  • A single shot from his gun that can be dodged through or over
  • A flame attack that travels in both left and right that can be dodged through or over
  • A four-hit electrified sword combo
  • A two-hit slash and dodge back
  • A ground punch with an electric AOE
  • A Fallen Star attack
  • A heal followed by two gun shots.
  • A parry counter

In short, he fights like Eryk. Not terribly difficult, don’t overcommit on the attacks and watch for the AoE blast, the range is deceptive. The fight will net you Doppietta, a shotgun.

Head up the stairs and enter the Esk Mansion.

Save at the checkpoint. Use the grappling point here (check the picture, top left) and pick up the Note and the Mirror Shard.

Leave this area for now. Use the fast travel point to travel back to the Mythringal West District. From the checkpoint, move left and go up. Head up the ladder next and keep going up. Exit the room from the doorway on the left and keep heading up. Keep going till you reach this location on the map.

From here go right and through the door on the right. Go right and use the grapple hook and the ladder to get up to where Lady Annika is.

Drop down after the conversation and head right.  Make your way to the elevator here on the map and keep going right.

In the next room, use the grapple hook to elevate and exit through the door on the right. Use the next grapple hook to get up on the roof. Kill the flying enemies here and keep moving to the right. Look up and use the grappling hook in the picture below to pick up Combustion Powders and Starving Essence.

Exit the area through where we came in and in the next area keep dropping down past the ladders. At the bottom go right to find the fast travel point, use it to travel back to the Manor and speak to Lady Annika again to get the Omniscient Eye of Protection. Travel to the Federal Inquisition next and move right from the checkpoint. Take the elevator down and keep heading down and to the left. Once you reach the next elevator, use it to descend further. At the bottom go left and the through the open area and then the graveyard with the altar till you get to this room in the picture.

Go up the right side to open the Ethereal door here. Get ready for a gauntlet. Once you deal with all 3 waves, the door to the right opens up. Go in and destroy this flaming heart.

It lights a flame in the graveyard we just passed. Back into the room where we came in, drop down go around and up till you reach the courtyard with the elevator.

Go up and use the fast travel checkpoint to travel back to the City of Elrim. Move left from the checkpoint through the zip line and the rooftops till you reach the location in the picture.

Go through and across the balcony and drop down and turn right till you reach the location where we met the Veiled Maiden. Talk to her. Now head back to the Manor and talk to Lady Annika.
