The Haunting Case: Small Fortunes starts at this location on the map –
Walk up to Danniel and a short cutscene will play.
After the conversation, turn to the left and inspect the spade.
Go back and talk to Danniel again. You are off to the bridge to Boston. Its to the north of your current location.
Follow the map marker and make your way there. On the way you will fight wolves, ghouls and wraiths. As you get to the bridge you will see its down. Turn back from the bridge and head down the path that you just came – turn up the road to the right and kill the enemies there in the lumber camp. Enter the hut after they are all dead. Break the barricade on the door at the back and go out. Switch to Antea and teleport to the other side.
Once on the other side head to the left, past the ledge where you can drop down. In the corner there is a rock that Antea can blow up with a spirit blast. Do that and then drop down the ledge behind you.
Drop down, head up and then through the door on the left. Switch to Antea and inspect the traps. Keep heading straight from the traps and drop down the next ledge. Go to the right from here and you will be out of the lumber yard. Head to the log bridge on the far end.
Cross over to the other side and climb up the cliff face. Then sprint through the narrow gap and kill the enemies on the other side. After they are dead head up the mountain path and switch to Antea to find spectral footprints.
Follow the trail up the mountain till you reach a hut and find Edithe’s letter. This is also a shelter. Inspect the bag next to the front door. Pick up the trail again with Antea and go out of the house. You will come across Edithe’s corpse. Keep heading straight till you come to another broken bridge. Shimmy across the cliff face to the other side.
Once through keep going and then take the elevator down. Head to the right, over the bridge and kill the enemies on the other side. There will be another elevator on this level, get on it and head down.
Drop down and cross the bridge on the left. Kill the enemies that spawn here. There is another ledge here that you can drop down off of – climb down the rope.
Keep following the path down and you will find Edithe’s belongings. Perform a Make Manifest ritual at the spectral location and summon Edithe. After the conversation is over, you have to find a way out of the ravine. Head back up the rope we climbed down on. You have to shoot the heart and destroy the roots now. The Root is right infront of you.
Turn to the right and aim up for the first heart.
Take a few steps back and another heart is right infront of you.
Run to the right and aim left to find the last heart.
Climb up the wall now and keep heading up the mountain till you reach a teleport point – use Antea to go to the other side. Call the lift down and head for Danniel. Talk to him once you are back at the camp. After you are done enter the house, switch to Antea once inside and inspect the fallen chair and the small box on the table on the left. Perform a Harkening ritual and then confront the siblings.
You can choose to Banish Danniel or Ascend/Banish Edithe. Choose Wisely.
Whatever you choose you will receive 1200 xp and +1 Essence.
