Laika: Aged Through Blood Walkthrough

Welcome to part 5 of Into Indie Games walkthrough for Laika: Aged Through Blood.

Area: Where We Live

Back at Area: Where We Live, lets take a stock of what quests we have in our quest list. Open the Journal to see the following quests –

  • Quest: Stargazing
  • Quest: Radio Silence
  • Quest: The Big Tree
  • Quest: A New Sheriff in Town
  • Quest: Bone Flour

Now go right, till you come across Pebble. You will receive Quest: A Little Tomb Stone.

Get on your bike and exit the Area. Enter Area: Where our bikes growl. Keep going right till you hit the blocked cave and shoot it with your shotgun.

There is a ledge and a chest inside. Use your shotgun’s recoil to jump up to the ledge. Pick up the refined metal and exit the cave. Head up and right and keep riding past the billboard till you reach a bird in front of another blocked cave. Keep going, kill the two other birds. After which you should reach a bird with an RPG on top of a bus. Kill the other bird, get on the ramp and drop down to the gas station to buy Gutsy Gus’s Gushing Gunfights. This will update the Quest: A New Sheriff in Town.

Exit the store and keep going right to exit the Area. You will enter Area: Where Doom Fell. Keep going right over the series of jumps and shooting the ores that come your way. Enter the cave system. Head down, killing the respawned birds.  Jump across the sign that says Seaport to enter.

Shoot the ore and then the bird and exit the area. You will now enter the Area: Where The Waves Die. Shoot the door blocking your way with the shotgun and keep going. A call will come in from Shaza. The Quest: Radio Silence will be updated. Jump across and shoot the bird below. Shoot the ore in front of you. As you exit the cave system another couple of birds will be on top. Take them out. Get on top and shoot the bird in front of you.

Jump to your left from here, using your shotgun for recoil boost. And head left. You will reach three more birds. Take them out. Keep moving left till you reach two more birds, one at the bottom of a jump and the other in the opening of a cave system. There is also an ore at the top of the opening. Take them out and the ore and jump into the opening.

Shoot the ore ahead and keep following the cave system left. Exit the area. You will enter Area: Where our Bikes Growl or specifically underneath the area. Shoot the ores on your way up. Shoot the door and take out the bird outside. This opens up the shortcut. Now head back the way you came.  Shoot the respawned birds and head down. Head right from the picture below.

Hit the checkpoint (remember to hit all checkpoints as a rule). Keep going right till you come across 3 more birds. Take them out. Head right till you hit the tractor, remember to shoot the chest before. Jump on top of the tractor using your shotgun and keep going.

Jump out of the cave system and across to the other side to find Renato. Update your map. Use your shotgun to jump up on the ledge, shoot the chest and keep going right to exit the area. You are now in Area: Where Doom Fell. Keep going right, across the broken bridge. At the end of this path you will find a chest with the item Great-Great-Grandma’s Novella. Head back (left) the way you came to Area: Where The Waves Die. Keep heading left, killing all the respawned birds till you reach the point in the picture below. And head down.

Fall down the cave system here, after taking out the bird on top. Shoot the ores on your way down and head right till you reach 2 more birds at the bottom level. Take them out. A call from Puppy comes in as you reach a bonfire. Jump up here using your shotgun recoil.

Jump across to the get the Cassette: Coming Home. Hit the chest next to the cassette.

Shoot the ores in the mountain wall to right as you fall down. Get back up on the ramps and go left. Jump across here with your shotgun recoil to find a chest on the second floor.

Shoot the ores on the mountain wall on the left. Slowly back up the mountain wall and as you are falling shoot the wall with your shotgun to use the recoil to enter the 2nd floor to get 2 more chests. Back towards where we came from (left). Hit the checkpoint and keep heading left towards the Seaport. A call from Shaza will come in.

Keep heading left till you come across a cave opening. Head down. Ride left till you reach a bird with an RPG. Shoot it. Pick up the Item: Vitamin Coated Bones here. This will update the Quest: Bone Flour. Head back out the way you came from (right). Head up the mountain at the location pictured below.

Keep going left. Jump across to the Seaport sign. Keep going left and down. Eventually you will exit the area. You will now enter the Area: Where Water Glistened. Keep going left till you find Renato. Update your map here. Keep going left till you hit the boat.

Enjoy the long boat ride. When it stops, get off the boat and take the birds on the left out one by one. Ride right and take the other birds out. Get to the top most level and shoot the red gear on the left. Ride back and gather some speed and use your shotgun to get on the topmost, leftmost platform to open the chest.

Do the same on the right and head down back to the boat. You will have control of the boat now. Head left. Go past the teleport checkpoint and get up on the second level. Head up the mountain till you find the lighthouse. Its locked. The Quest: Radio Silence is updated.

Head back right to the boat. The Quest: Radio Silence is updated again. Head right till you can dock your boat in the location as pictured below.

Go up and take the birds out. Shoot the chest by shotgun recoiling and get on the platform. You will find the Item: Long Rope here. (Check the picture)

Get back on the boat and start sailing right again. Keep going till you can dock at the location pictured below.

Go up and right to shoot the birds and the chest. Ride left from here up to the next platform and hit the checkpoint. Wheelie your bike up the rope and take the bird out on top. Keep moving right and up the ropes. Shoot the next bird. Keep going right, hitting the checkpost. Speed past killing the birds on top. There is a chest on the far right. Go left from here to find the Item: Carved Whale Tooth. Head back down to the boat and start sailing right again. Dock at the location in the picture below.

Head up the platforms killing all the birds. On the top platforms, you will find more High Speed Cables. Head back down to the boat. Talk to Roy. You can now use the Harpoon. Go left now till you can dock at the location shown at the picture below, use the harpoon to create a rope bridge.

Wheelie up the rope bridge and head right. Kill the birds on your way till you reach a bird with an entrenched machine gun. Go up the steep wall at the far right and ricochet off to the third level. Shoot the chest. Drop off the ledge on to the second floor to find another chest. Drop to the bottom and go up the steep wall to the topmost platform to find Renato. Update your map. Drop down and use the ramp (Jump+recoil) below to go across to the left platform as shown in the picture below.

Go left across the rope bridge and take out the bird. Jump on top of the platform with the kitchen sign to find a chest.

Drop down and go left across another rope bridge to find another chest. Ride to the right and at the far end go up the ramp to the 3rd level as shown in the picture below.

Go across the rope bridge and shoot the gear to open the way across. Stop and shoot the gear to bring the door down. Go up the ramp at the far end and shoot the bird on top. Activate the checkpoint and go across to the right. Kill the bird with the assault rifle at the end. Turn left and go up the ramp. Shoot all 3 birds. Turn right and go (Jump + recoil) up the ramp to get to the top floor. Three more birds, with one in an entrenched machine gun. Destroy the giant antenna.
