Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Chants of Sennaar. This is a story-oriented guide, and while we do cover validating glyphs, we will not always state what a glyph is until it is time to validate it.

Part 13

Go west up the stairs until you reach a mural representing the tower. Have a look at it.

You’ll get some new glyphs in the Anchorites’ language. Fill up your notebook as shown below.

Next, take the door to the north of this area. Go east to find some people sitting in virtual reality. Talk to the rightmost one to get some glyphs. Then, go east through the doorway.

You’ll find another Anchorite to talk to here – do so to get some glyphs. Further ahead, you’ll find a small yellow terminal. Interact with it.

Your goal here is to arrange the circles so that each ‘line’ from the center has the same meaning.

Arrange the circles as shown below. Upon correctly arranging the circles, you’ll automatically figure out what the glyphs mean.

Now go southwest across the bridge. Down here, you’ll find the final teleporter terminal of the game. Activate it, and then go east. Talk to the rightmost virtual reality person to get a glyph, and then return to the teleporter terminal area. Go west from here.

You’ll find another yellow translation terminal here – interact with it, and arrange the circles as shown below.

Now go up the stairs leading northwest. At the sculpture with the Anchorite face, go west.

Here you’ll find a third yellow translation terminal. Interact with it and set the circles as shown below.

Now go back south and go east past the mask statue. This time, go northeast past the translation terminal. Go east at the gaming party to find a locked door.

Enter the following glyphs to pass through: Key, Open, Door.

Enter through the open door and go to the very far east. After waking up the Anchorite here, interact with the computer.

Now you need to use basic glyphs to create more complex ones, and you need to do this three times.

For the first round, enter the glyphs as given below, left to right.

  1. Go, Up
  2. Door, Plural
  3. Me, Not
  4. Go, Me

For the second round, enter the glyphs as given below, left to right.

  1. Go, Dead
  2. Go, Not
  3. Go, Not, Dead

For the third and final round, enter the glyphs as given below, left to right.

  1. People, Plural
  2. Me, Plural
  3. Seek, Not
  4. Me, People

This will complete your translation of the Anchorites’ language, and it will also mean you have completed translating every glyph in the game (provided you’ve done the other languages).

Now follow the Anchorite west for a cutscene that gives you a double-sided key, and your final objective of the game: to get everyone talking to each other and revive the tower.
